“With the recent wildfires that threatened different parts of the United States, help was sent out from American Samoa to assist firefighters,” reads the caption of this YouTube video. “They're called Hand Crews, generally their job is to protect natural resources from the threat of a blaze by using hand tools on the outrigs of a designated area to prevent fire from scorching further. It requires physical agility and endurance.”
The caption continues: “Samoans are well known by the Fire Departments in all of the U.S. to be among the best hand crews. Listen as this "hand crew" of Samoans straight from the motherland do what all us Polynesians love to do when physically performing a task: sing. Their voices harmoniously echo through the forest as they approach their day's end in a symphony praising God for his protection and guidance over them. Isn't it beautiful?”
What a wonderful sight to see! And they all have such great voices that are singing out a lovely song. They end the song with a chant in their language and a loud Amen!
“Amazing!” comments one person on YouTube after watching the video. “They know where their help comes from. Such good voices.”
We hope you enjoyed this video and it was able to bring a smile to your face today!
Psalm 24:8-10
Who is this King of glory? The Lord, strong and mighty, the Lord, mighty in battle! Lift up your heads, O gates! And lift them up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory! Selah
This mighty elephant were helpless when they found themselves stranded in the ocean. Somehow, they drifted out to sea and before they knew it they were gasping for air. These poor creatures could barely keep their trunks above water.
Thankfully, naval officers quickly spotted the pair of elephants and came to their rescue. These amazing officers were able to tie ropes to the elephants and guide them back to shallow water. Once the elephants were able to feel the ground again, they could walk back to shore.
What an amazing story of how being at the right place at the right time can truly save a life. Praise God that these beautiful creatures are okay!
