Motivational Speech About Wise Third Grade Dropout

Dr. Rick Rigsby is an ordained minister and motivational speaker. Recently, he was giving a commencement speech to a group of students when he drew on his own life experiences. Rigsby's father was always an inspiration and he calls him the wisest person he ever knew. His father was a third grade dropout but that didn't stop him from working hard every single day to continue his education and care for his family. Throughout tough times in Rigsby's life, his dad was always there to guide him. These simple lessons can truly change a person's life. No wonder this speech is going viral.

Grandma's Funny Patsy Cline Cover About Getting Old

90-year-old Vera knows that getting old comes with a few setbacks. So that's how she came up with this funny song dedicated to all the senior citizens out there. Vera took the classic Patsy Cline song 'I Fall To Pieces' and rewrote the lyrics. Now, the song is called 'We Fall To Pieces' and Vera is performing it loud and proud for all the hear. When you listen to the lyrics, you can't help but laugh at all the funny lines. I'm so glad she can embrace life with a sense of humor. And did I mention that her vocals and guitar are absolutely incredible? I hope I have half this much talent when I'm her age. You go Vera!

Chick-fil-A Hidden Camera Captures Kindness

Chick-fil-A knows that sports rivalries can run deep, but this fast-food chain wanted to see just how deep they went. So on game day, they staged a family with a broken down vehicle right outside of the stadium. With hidden cameras all around, Chick-fil-A was able to capture each encounter. Even when the strangers supported a different team, they still stopped to help out a family in need. It's truly amazing to witness such kindness in the world today. It only takes a few moments to help one another and these rivals proved that sides don't matter because we're all humans. What a touching moment!

'Dear Daughter' - Spoken Word From Christian Father

Clayton Jennings hasn't met his baby girl yet, but that's not stopping him from giving out some heartfelt advice. He recently sat down in her nursery and spoke some special words of wisdom for her to hear one day. There's no doubt that this little girl is already so loved and hearing the words come straight from her daddy's heart is truly touching. 'Dear Daughter' is a spoken word that each father and daughter should hear at least once in their life. When we welcome a child into the world, it's an amazing gift from God. And I have no doubt that this precious baby will be raised in His image.

Randy Travis Sings On Stage After Stroke

Country music star Randy Travis nearly died after he suffered a stroke in 2013. 4 years later, Randy still has difficulty talking but he can sing a bit. Today, he's stepping back on stage to record a special segment for The Penny Gilley Show in Fort Worth, Texas. His wife, Mary, helps guide him to the stage where he sings pieces of his classic song 'Forever And Ever, Amen.' It takes such courage to come back after such a hard battle, but this truly shows what an inspiration Randy really is. He hopes that his determination will help others that may be going through the same thing. I'm so glad to see Randy singing again and I can't wait to see where God takes him next.

Navy Dad Writes Song For Sons Before Deployment

Naval Sailor David Daughtry is about to ship off on a 7-month-long deployment. One night, after the rest of the family fell asleep, David snuck off to the garage and recorded a special message. He wanted to make sure his 2 sons knew how much their father loved him, so he wrote a song. The emotional lyrics give advice to his oldest and to make sure that Mom is taken care of. Leaving your family for any amount of time is difficult, so I know this father is already feeling the heartache. Thankfully, his wife and children can listen to this song and know in their hearts that Daddy is always with them. Who else is tearing up right now?

Signs

Signs are everywhere and yet today many people can not read them and are lost. God's signs are easy to read and always lead us to Himself.

Where is God? Ep 1: Even the Most Faithful

Tornadoes, hurricanes, racial tension, earthquakes and NOW, the Las Vegas shooting. It's just too much. While all these battles rage externally, I'm also aware that we each are figthting storms in our own personal lives. Let's face it. Our Facebook feeds are highlight reels. Once someone starts sharing "sad stuff" (aka what's really going on in their lives) people have a fit because life is supposed to always be fun all the time. You say, "social media is my escape and I don't have time for your sh*t PLUS my own stuff." Ha!

It's uncomfortable, I get it. But you know what else is uncomfortable? These NFL players bending their knees. Yet, people are talking about race more than ever before. Nothing of worth every comes from staying comfortable and remaining complacent. Nothing. Nada. Zilch.

I've experienced first hand what ignored pain, the kind of suffering that is pushed to the side and never ever faced, can do to someone. We can pretend all we want (traveling, shopping, partying, drinking, sexing) but pretending eventually catches up with you. That deep rooted pain has the power to not only hurt and possibly destroy the life of the victim...but also the victim's friends, family, relationships, the list goes on. You know the saying, "Hurt people, hurt people"? It couldn't be any truer.

"Where is God" features stories that we can possibly see ourselves in and maybe, just maybe, find healing.

Students Stand Up For Body-Shamed Stranger

It's easy to ignore rude comments when you see them online, but how would people react when the bullying was happening right in front of their eyes. Stuart Edge and UPTv teamed up to shed light on the bullying epidemic that is sweeping our country. They set up hidden cameras and had an actress ask strangers for directions to the gym on a school campus. That's when another hired actress made hateful comments about her weight. But each and every time this woman was harassed, the stranger stood up for her and stopped the body-shaming. There is already so much hate in the world today, so it's absolutely amazing to see these strangers speak up and stop the bullying. What would you do in this situation?

Trisha Yearwood Audition Impresses The Voice Judges

Kristi Hoopes had big shoes to fill when she stepped on The Voice stage and started to sing Trisha Yearwood's "Heaven, Heartache and the Power of Love." This country song isn't easy, but Kristi was determined to give it her all during the blind audition. Her big move paid off when 3 of the judges turned around to make her part of their team. Kristi's powerful vocals were too good to pass up and that's when the judges started to battle it out. I'm so glad that Kristi's talent is being recognized and she's moving on to the next round. I can't wait to see what this powerhouse is going to perform next and with Coach Blake on her side, I know it's going to be amazing.

Deputy's Fake Traffic Stop Is Surprise Proposal

When Deputy Kevin Bowes decided to propose to his longtime girlfriend, he decided to get some help from his co-workers at the Palmdale Sheriff's Station. They set up a fake traffic stop and when Kevin's girlfriend came through, they stopped her car asked her to perform field sobriety tests. That's when Kevin snuck in behind her and dropped to one knee. She turned around and was immediately stunned. After she realized what was happening, she hugged her new fiancé and gave him an excited 'yes!' I think it's safe to say that this is one traffic stop that she was happy about. Who else thinks this surprise proposal was super awesome?

Surprise Twin Pregnancy During Gender Reveal

When these parents-to-be found out that they were expecting twins, they decided to keep it a secret from everyone, including their own parents. Midway through their pregnancy, they gathered all of their family and friends together for an elaborate gender reveal party. This couple was going to slice into a cake and the color of the icing would reveal the gender of the baby. After they found out they would be welcoming a baby boy, the couple silenced the cheering crowd. That's when they dropped the news that there was actually another cake to cut into and another baby on the way. Just watch all of the amazing reactions from family and friends as they realize this means twins. I can't believe they kept the secret for this long, but it was definitely worth to wait to see the excitement and joy on everyone's face.

Man Cries After Audition Wins Over Judge

Gary Carpentier had barely started his audition on The Voice when judge Adam turned right around. Gary's heartfelt rendition of Michael Bublé's "Home" struck a chord with the judge and he couldn't resist seeing the man behind that voice. As soon as the chair started to rotate, you can see the emotion in Gary's face. His voice started to waver out of joy and shock but Gary quickly recovered. As soon as his audition was over, this talented young man let all of his feelings out. Gary is following his dreams and they've brought him all the way to this stage where he's going on to the next round. I can't wait to see what he sings next!

19-Year-Old 'Georgia On My Mind' Audition

19-year-old Brandon Brown had no problem impressing the judges with his recent audition for The Voice. Just listen as he performs an incredible rendition of Ray Charles' "Georgia on My Mind." This is such a hard song to cover because everyone thinks of Ray as soon as they hear it. But Brandon definitely gave it his all and it turned out amazing. I wasn't surprised at all when 3 of the judges turned their chairs after hearing his voice. There's no doubt this young man has talent and I can't wait to hear what he does next!

In 2007, Drew Scott and his twin brother, Jonathan, had built up a successful real estate company. But Drew felt that something was missing in his life. He decided to put real estate aside and follow his dreams of being an actor. Unfortunately, this didn't pan out and Drew had no idea what to do with his life. That's when he came up with the idea to combine his two loves, television and real estate. The hit TV show 'Property Brothers' was formed and the brothers have now become a household name. Today, Drew is a contestant on Dancing With The Stars and he's celebrating all of his achievements. I just love how his dance truly expresses his current view on life. What a great performance!
