News Anchor Victoria Arlen Defies Doctors And Walks

Victoria Arlen spent 4 years in a vegetative state after being diagnosed with 2 rare autoimmune disorders that caused swelling in her brain and spinal cord. Doctors told her family that she would never talk again, let alone walk. But Victoria was determined to prove them all wrong and little by little she overcame every obstacle that stood in her way. Now, Victoria is cast aside her wheelchair and isn't just walking, she's dancing. As a contestant on Dancing With The Stars, she recalled this whole part of her life and decided to put that emotion into her performance. And just wait until you see her dance to “I Lived” by OneRepublic. I don't think there was a dry eye in the place.

Lindsey Stirling Honors Late Father With Special Dance

Lindsey Stirling is a talented violinist known for her unique performances that combine music and dance. From a young age, Lindsey found a love for the violin and her father did everything he could to help pay for lessons. Now, Lindsey is known worldwide for her music and her proud father was right by her side. Unfortunately, he passed away in 2016 after a battle with cancer. His death was a tremendous loss for Lindsey, but she always smiles when she thinks of all the fond moments they shared. Today, Lindsey is a contestant on Dancing With The Stars and she's chosen to honor her dad in the most beautiful way. This emotional performance to “Anchor” by Mindy Gledhill will truly touch your heart. I'm sure Lindsey's father is smiling down at her right now.

Survivor Mass Shooting Gives Comfort To Vegas Victims

Kristina Anderson was just 19 years old when she was carried out of her French class at Virginia Tech in April 2007. Kristina was shot 3 times during the tragic shooting at the university that killed 32 and wounded 16 others. She knows all too well the physical and mental hardship a horrific event like this can take on a person. After the recent events in Orlando and Las Vegas, Kristina has decided to offer her help and support to the survivors. Even though these shootings will never be forgotten, it is important for victims to take the steps to help themselves and continue on to live a productive and fulfilling life. Thank you, Kristina, and others who are stepping up to help during these tragic events.

Barber Lays On The Floor For Boy With Autism

A photo of 45-year-old Franz Jacob is going viral for the most amazing reason. Franz is a barber who recently gave 6-year-old Wyatt a trim. Wyatt has autism and normally does not do well during hair cuts. That's when Franz decided to lay down on the floor with Wyatt and let him calm down while he trimmed his hair. This simple gesture means a great deal to Wyatt and his family. Franz's kindness is being seen all over the Internet and it's no wonder why he has everyone talking. I'm so thankful for the kindness of people like Franz and I hope to see this trend continue.

There's no doubt that young Selevasio Tuima has been graced with an incredible talent. Selevasio started out singing in church and now his voice is being heard all over the world. Today, he's stepping onto the stage of Australia's Little Big Shots and putting his talent on display. Just listen as Selevasio shares his background and performs an incredible rendition of 'Hallelujah.' I can't get over how such a powerful voice can come from such a young man. There's no doubt that The Matthews Sisters have been blessed with a God-given talent for singing. Today, these 3 girls are The National Anthem in Pigeon Forge and it's absolutely stunning. I can't get over those harmonies and the way their voices blend together perfectly. I'm so glad these talented young girls are using their gifts to spread joy and positivity to others. The Star-Spangled Banner is such an iconic song and these girls definitely did it justice. Who else is in awe of those voices?

Man Delivers Acts Of Kindness To Honor Shooting Victim

Lloyd's childhood friend was enjoying a country concert with his 4 children when a gunman opened fire. Lloyd's friend was shot and ultimately lost his life. After he learned of his friend's death, Lloyd decided to honor his life in a special way. Each day, Lloyd sets out to perform random acts of kindness for strangers, such as paying for their gas. He knew there was a lot of anger in the world and hoped that his simple acts would add a little bit more happiness to society. I think we can all take a cue from Lloyd and spread a little more kindness in this world.

When tragedies strike, that's when you can easily spot the kindness of strangers. Our country has recently experienced horrific flooding, a mass shooting, and civil unrest. But despite these difficult moments, humanity has truly shown through. Rylee Preston was inspired by everyday heroes in the wake of Hurricane Harvey and her sweet song 'Pure Again' speaks to these individuals. Just listen to these powerful lyrics and be reminded that there is still good in this world. Even in the face of darkness, the light will shine through. What a beautiful song from young Rylee.

Eric Church 'Why Not Me' For Las Vegas Victims

Country superstar Eric Church was a headliner at the Route 91 Harvest Festival just two days before the tragic shootings in Las Vegas. He stood on the very same stage as Jason Aldean did when shots started in on the crowd. After the incident, Church was watching an interview on CNN, he heard the story of Sonny Melton, who lost his life that night. Sonny's wife, Heather, spoke of how he was a huge Eric Church fan and they attended the festival all weekend. They even had plans to see Church at the Grand Ole Opry just a few days after the festival, but that never happened. Obviously, Church was filled with emotion and decided to put those feelings into a song. He penned 'Why Not Me' and dedicated it to Sonny. Today, he's performing this song for the first time at the Opry and saving 2 seats for Heather and Sonny. Let's continue to pray for all of those effected by these tragic events.

Pregnant Woman Beats Inoperable Cancer Through Faith

Ashley Hallford was a month into her first pregnancy when she noticed a strange lump on the back of her head. Weeks later, Ashley began to feel worse and worse and it was then that she received the news that her lump was cancerous. At just 33 weeks pregnant, Ashley was induced so that she would be able to start treatment. Just days after the birth of her sweet baby boy, she underwent surgery to remove the mass. When the results came back, Ashley and her husband were devastated to learn that she had stage 4 brain cancer. The doctors said the cancer was inoperable and gave her just days to live. But that's when her church started to pray and everything started to turn around. Ashley overcame all the odds and now she is cancer-free. God is so amazing in all of His ways!

Survivor Thanks Heroes After Las Vegas Shooting

This young woman survived the tragic shooting in Las Vegas. When bullets began to ring out, her husband used his own body to shield her. As they tried to run for safety, she became separated from her husband and friends. Thankfully, a group of girls grabbed her hand and ran with her. Then, as she tried to climb over a fence, her boot became stuck and a stranger helped pull her free. Over and over again, strangers came together to help others. This heartfelt thank you is for all of those helpers during this tragic situation. What a great reminder that God's love shines through even in the face of evil.

Man Dies Shielding Girlfriend From Bullets

30-year-old Brennan Stewart lost his life during the tragic Las Vegas shootings. Brennan acted as a human shield for his girlfriend, Gia. As the bullets rang out, Brennan covered Gia's body to protect her from harm. Each day we hear more and more stories of heroism during this terrible incident. Brennan's incredible sacrifice saved Gia's life and there's no doubt that this man is a hero. Let's continue to pray for Las Vegas and the families that have been effected by this horrible tragedy.

Navy Vet Rewrites 'Hallelujah' For Veterans

Sailor Jerri is a Navy veteran from central Minnesota. After serving her country, Sailor began to sing and perform for other veterans at the VA. Recently, Sailor was inspired to write a special version of the classic Leonard Cohen song 'Hallelujah.' Honoring her fellow service members, this inspiring song is written just for them. Each and every day, a soldier fights for our freedom and it's such an amazing sacrifice. Thank you to all of these men and women for your service and thank you to Sailor for penning such an beautiful song.
