Military Mom Surprises Son During Homecoming

Petty Officer 3rd Class Chasmine Banks had been serving overseas in West Africa for 10 months. One of the hardest parts about her deployment was missing her son, Gabriel. So when Banks was ready to come home, she wanted to make it a surprise her son would never forget. That's when she came up with the great idea to visit his middle of class for an incredible homecoming reunion. As Chasmine walked into Gabriel's classroom, he ran and jumped into her arms. What a touching moment for this family. Who else was tearing up?

Samaritan's Purse Helps Hurricane Maria Victims

After the devastation in Puerto Rico following Hurricane Maria, Christian organization Samaritan's Purse rushed to their aid. This non-profit group of volunteers flew a cargo plane with 50,000 pounds of emergency supplies down to flood victims. These kind strangers brought everything from backup generators to personal hygiene items. One of the biggest issues facing the hurricane survivors is the lack of communication. All of the cell phone towers are down and people cannot get in touch with their loved ones. I'm so glad these volunteers are helping out. Let's continue to pray for the people of Puerto Rico during this difficult time.

94-Year-Old With Dementia Plays Piano

94-year-old pianist Edward Hardy suffers from dementia. Edward is a former soldier and his heartbreaking disease has stripped him of some of his most precious memories. Though he has lost many things, the one thing that remains is his love for his wife of 75 years, Betty. Today, these two are celebrating their anniversary in the most amazing way. Edward sat at the piano and started to play his Betty's favorite song. He has never forgotten this tune. It's so beautiful to see the love that these two share. What a blessing to witness this precious moment.

In the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma, many are still feeling the effects of these terrifying storms. After the landfall of Hurricane Harvey in Houston, country singer John Berry was scheduled for a writing session in Nashville with award-winning songwriter Chuck Jones. The two talents went into the session with no intentions but walked away with the newly-penned song called "All Come Together." Now, artists from all different genres are coming together to support victims of these floods. What an amazing way to help out those in need. New Tune Encourages Americans to Donate to Storm Victims Via Fund Setup Through Samaritan's Purse.
Various artists from the worlds of country, rock, blues, bluegrass and gospel are all banding together to aid victims of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. A few weeks ago, after the landfall of Hurricane Harvey in Houston, country singer John Berry was scheduled for a writing appointment in Nashville with award-winning songwriter Chuck Jones. The two went into the session with no intentions but walked away with the newly-penned song, "All Come Together."
The song will be available for download via iTunes and Amazon in the next two weeks with 100% of the proceeds going to storm victims. In the meantime, the public is encouraged to donate to the cause by donating their time or by giving money directly to Samaritan's Purse at the following links:

8-Year-Old Leukemia Survivor Meets Donor

8-year-old AJ was only 4 years old when he was diagnosed with leukemia. After intense treatment, he went into remission, but in the summer of 2015, AJ relapsed. It was obvious that treatment wasn't working and that the only option for him would be a transplant. Unfortunately, no one in the family was a match for AJ so they turned to Be the Match, a national bone marrow donation organization that helps patients connect with donors. That's where AJ found his donor, a 22-year-old college student from Ohio named Alexa. Thanks to her selflessness, AJ is now cancer-free and he's meeting his lifesaver for the first time in person. What an incredible moment full of joy and tears.

Angelica Hale and Kechi both competed as singers on America's Got Talent and there's no doubt that these two are a powerhouse of talent. While performing during the finale show, this incredible pair started to sing Kelly Clarkson's empowering song 'Stronger.' And when the chorus hit, this duo became a triple threat as Kelly, herself, joined them on stage. This song resonates with people all over the world and to hear these three perform it together is absolutely amazing. Who else is in awe of these female vocalists? Preschoolers Bring Joy To Nursing Home

When a group of children recently visited a nursing home, some of the residents didn't know what to expect. They imagined lots of noise and disruption but what actually happened warmed my whole heart. These children walked right into the building full of joy and happiness. They immediately bonded with the residents and included them in their playtime. They even got one of the skeptical residents to join in on the fun. I just love how these innocent children can bring such light into a place. Who else is grinning from ear to ear right now?

Dad Cries During Wedding Dance

There's always something special about the father-daughter dance at a wedding and this sweet dance is no exception. As this dad and his little girl started to sway on the dance floor, you could instantly feel the love and joy they share. But when the music started to play this bride's 3-year-old voice singing 'I Love You' there wasn't a dry eye in the place. Just look at her father's reaction as he remembers the precious moments from his baby girl's childhood. I'm so glad they were able to add this extra special detail into the wedding. Surprise Squad Helps Girl Who Was Robbed

Tia, a young girl with special needs, was recently the victim of a senseless crime. One of the things she enjoys a lot is riding her bike. Her parents bought her a special bicycle that Tia was able to ride on her own but one day they woke to discover that someone had stolen the bike from their backyard. Tia's parents work very hard to care for her and provide her with all of her needs. They adopted this sweet girl when she was just 4 years old and have seen her through numerous surgeries and hospital stays. This crime left them devastated but a heartfelt letter to the Fox5 Surprise Squad changed everything. These kind folks decided to give this family 2 brand new bikes and some money to help with expenses. And the look on this mom's face when she receives this surprise is absolutely amazing. What a beautiful moment!

Surveillance Video Shows Teen Returning Lost $1500

18-year-old Tyler Opdyke was passing out fliers in his local neighborhood when he found something unusual laying in the driveway of one of the homes. Right there was a wallet filled with a large sum of cash. Tyler grabbed the wallet and immediately went up to the doorstep to return it to the rightful owner. After knocking on the door, he decided to leave the wallet in a safe place but wasn't sure where to put it. That's when he noticed that the house had a security camera set up. Tyler went up to the camera and made sure to motion to where he was placing the wallet. Later, the homeowner, Melissa Vang, was watching the surveillance footage and was stunned at what the teen did. She was so grateful that he returned the wallet to her with every bit of the $1500. Most people wouldn't have done that, but Tyler knew it was the right thing to do. Tyler said, "I've been raised in the Church all my life and I just felt this is not mine, I don't know their family. I don't know what they're going through.". What an amazing young man!

As the weeks have gone on, she's continued to use her beautiful voice to impress the judges and audience. Now, she's reached the finals and she's giving it her all to win. Just listen to this empowering performance of 'Conqueror' that she delivers on stage. This young woman has truly overcome to odds to follow her dream and it's beautiful to watch it all unfold. Husband With Alzheimer's Dances With Wife Again

This husband with Alzheimer’s is sharing a special dance with his wife on her 80th birthday. Alzheimer's is a truly devastating disease for both the person and their family members. This disease robs people of their precious memories. Our memories are what make up who we truly are and it's devastating to have those slip away. It's even harder to watch a loved one battle this disease. You see someone that you once knew so well lose their personality and spark. Leo Balderaz was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease one year ago. Since then, he has lost many of his personal traits, including his love for dance. It’s been difficult for his family to watch his beloved man slip away. But sometimes, they are blessed enough to see the real Leo shine through again. Today is his wife's 80th birthday and the family wanted to make it extra special. So, they decided to surprise her by putting on the couple's favorite song and helping Leo to his feet. With support from a family member, these two were able to share a special dance together and it's absolutely heartwarming to witness. Just watch as they sway along to the music as a world of emotions start to flow. Near the end, you can even see Leo start to tear up. Birthdays can be especially difficult if you are without a loved one, so I know that Leo’s wife was grateful for this priceless gift. What an incredible moment all caught on camera to cherish for a lifetime.

90-Year-Old Writes Letter Begging For Friend

When Marleen Brooks opened her mailbox one evening, she found a letter that would change the entire course of her life. Marleen's 90-year-old neighbor, Wanda Mills, had written a heartbreaking note. Wanda lived just a few doors down and pleaded with Marleen to be her friend. She wrote that all her friends had died and that she was very lonely and scared. All she wanted was a friend. As soon as she read the letter, Marleen's heart broke. So, the very next day she went over to Wanda's house and they became instant friends. Wanda has now been moved to a nursing home but Marleen still visits her at least four times a week. This special friendship will truly make your heart warm. And Wanda knows that this special gift was sent straight from God at just the right time. What an amazing story of God's faithfulness. Who was tearing up after listening to this story?

At first, I thought this was going to be a traditional slow number, but when the musical changed, I was tapping along with them. I can't get over all the talent this young pair possesses and to see them follow their dreams on stage is absolutely incredible. Who else is in awe of this precious pair? I can't wait to see what they do next.

'I Know Who She Is' - Heartbreaking Alzheimer's Song

Young Robyn Slade was just 14 years old when she recorded the touching tune 'I Know Who She Is.' This emotional song tells the story of an elderly man visiting his wife in a nursing home. The woman suffers from Alzheimer's and does not recognize him anymore. Sadly, this story is all too familiar to many of us who have a loved one with Alzheimer's or dementia. These memory disorders can truly be devastating to a family. This heartfelt song definitely struck a chord with my heart and I couldn't help by wipe away a tear. What an incredible performance.
