The Silhouettes return to the America’s Got Talent stage for an incredible performance with an inspiring message. We first met the Silhouettes on the sixth season of America’s Got Talent. The inspiring ensemble went on to place 2nd and quickly became a fan favorite. Since that time, they have traveled all around the country and many dancers have thrived from the inclusive dance company. Now, they are back as competitors on America’s Got Talent: The Champions. This special format of competition features over 40 acts from all across the globe. The list of contenders includes past winners, finalists and fan-favorites from the entire Got Talent franchise. The Silhouettes pulled out all the stops to impress the judges and audience during their first performance. Their story about a girl and her dog even earned the golden buzzer from judge Alesha Dixon. Today, they are sharing another inspirational story set to the tune of "Stand In The Light" by Jordan Smith. Utilizing shadow dance, the group shares the struggles of a family that finds themselves without a home. Thankfully, the family finds support and friends and they are able to put a roof over their head again. And the final piece of the dance truly had everyone in awe. Judge Howie Mandel said, “You are the inspiration for every act that comes after you.” He went on to praise the group saying, “You’re not just here to win it. You’re here to change the world.” This message is so much more than just a dance routine and it is truly a blessing to watch The Silhouettes perform.

These talented street performers stun the crowd with their rendition of Elvis’s ‘Can’t Help Falling In Love.” “Wise men say only fools rush in But I can't help falling in love with you Shall I stay? Would it be a sin? If I can't help falling in love with you” This popular song is performed beautifully by these two violinists and drummer. The older violinists is Kiev Morales and the drummer’s name is Imanielijah. The younger violinist is an 11-year-old named Karolina Protsenko, and she is the one who posted this video on her YouTube page. “Can't Help Falling in Love is one of my favorite songs by Elvis Presley. But actually, the melody of this song is based on a popular French love song composed in 1784. It's a very romantic and beautiful song,” Karolina writes as the caption for this video on her YouTube page. In the comments on her page, you can see that Karolina has fans from all over the world, with people from Indonesia, Ethiopia, and Russia praising her violin skills! In the video, a large crowd is gathered on the boardwalk, enjoying the music of the talented musicians. The sound is so lovely, and the drums add a nice percussion and beat while the two violins play. People are swaying along to the melody and using their phones to record the beautiful performance. Karolina is also really enjoying the music as she is dancing around and twirling while she plays the notes on her violin. During the performance, people on the boardwalk are showing their appreciation for the music by dropping money into the musicians’ bin. “All financial support goes towards my education!” states Karolina on her YouTube page. It is great to see that this young violinist can use her talents to bring others joy as well as help pay for her future education.

Twin sisters from the UK, Catherine and Lizzy Ward Thomas, beautifully sing the classic song ‘In the Bleak Midwinter’ together. “In the bleak mid-winter Frosty wind made moan, Earth stood hard as iron, Water like a stone; Snow had fallen, snow on snow, Snow on snow, In the bleak mid-winter Long ago” The lyrics to ‘In the Bleak Midwinter’ were first written as a poem by Christina Rossetti. The poem was published under the title ‘A Christmas Carol’ in the January 1872 issue of Scribner's Monthly. The poem became a true Christmas carol in 1906 when Gustav Holst composed a melody for the words to be set to. In this video, Ward Thomas, the country music duo that Catherine and Lizzy Ward Thomas created, sing their own version ‘In the Bleak Midwinter’. Their voices blend together in a lovely way, and they have such nice harmonies throughout the song. The music is hauntingly beautiful, and they pair the song with images of war in 1914. “If we were living in 1914, all the boys we know would have been fighting in the trenches,” writes Ward Thomas in the video. “It would have been a terrifying and miserable experience for them. It would have been a frightening and anxious time for us, too.” The video goes through scenes of World War I in 1914, showing images of young soldiers on the battlefield and in the trenches, huddled around each other and tending to the wounded. Then the video starts to focus on the Christmas Truce of World War I. “The truce of Christmas 1914 was a unique moment in the war when soldiers on both sides laid down their weapons and met in no-man’s land to share food and play football,” writes Ward Thomas. “A game can mean nothing or everything. 100 years on, it reminds all of us of the presence of humanity.”

Even though they did not win their season, the crew achieved worldwide fame appearing in Las Vegas shows and touring India. There is even a movie being made about their journey. Their first performance was so well received that judge Howie Mendel pressed his golden buzzer, sending them straight to the finals. Inspirational survivor Elizabeth Smart shares why she’s helping other women take back their power after a terrifying incident on recent Delta flight. Elizabeth was just 14 years old, when she was kidnapped and suffered through months of horrible sexual abuse. But her faith in God helped to get her through and, now, Elizabeth Smart has been fully restored by Him. Since that time, Elizabeth has openly shared her story and uses it to inspire and encourage others. Sadly, this Christian celebrity recently found herself as the victim of yet another sexual predator. Elizabeth told Gayle King, in a CBS This Morning interview, how she was flying home to Utah and fell asleep during the flight. “I’ve always felt safe on an airplane,” she explained. “I’ve never been worried — I’ve never felt threatened on an airplane until now.” But everything changed when Elizabeth awoke to inappropriate touching from the man sitting next to her. “I was shocked. I mean the last time someone touched me without my say so was when I was kidnapped. And I froze. I didn’t know what to do.” The frightening incident left Elizabeth feeling vulnerable and helpless all over again. “I kept saying to myself, ‘You’re Elizabeth Smart. You should know what to do.'” She immediately notified Delta and an investigation is currently underway. But Elizabeth felt compelled to do more. That’s when her husband encouraged her to share her experience with a family friend trained in self-defense. And it led Elizabeth to a powerful revelation. So, Elizabeth started to train in self-defense and decided to use her position to help other women do the same. Elizabeth Smart now offers a program called Smart Defense. It’s self-defense classes for women and girls with the goal of empowering them to fight back if ever attacked. Elizabeth is the true definition of an overcomer and this testimony is truly inspiring. In fact, they performed the entire routine with their eyes covered. The contemporary dance group easily earned their spot in the next round and, now, they are back for a performance in the live shows. This particular dance is a steam-punk style clock-themed routine. As the dancers move to the music, the quick tempo changes only add to the difficulty of the dance. Each team member effortlessly pulls off each move. It’s obvious that Vale is a top contender in the competition and they put so much time and effort into each performance. We have seen a lot of talented dancers and ensemble on The Greatest Dancer this season, but Vale is definitely a stand out among the competition. It was an instant hit for the group and continues to stand the test of time as one of the greatest songs ever. So, it’s no surprise that someone would choose this tune to belt out in front of a large crowd. And that’s exactly what happened when this man on a park bench started to sing the beloved lyrics. “We've got to hold on to what we've got It doesn't make a difference if we make it or not We've got each other and that's a lot for love We'll give it a shot” As the man starts to sing, you can see people all over the park turn to see where the music is coming from. There are smiles, nods and even some quizzical looks. But then, the most amazing thing starts to happen. Voices from all over the area start to join in for this impromptu rendition of ‘Livin’ On A Prayer.’ And when they hit the chorus, everyone was singing their heart out. “Woah, we're half way there Woah, livin' on a prayer Take my hand, we'll make it I swear Woah, livin' on a prayer” This incredible moment just proves that it only takes one person to create a movement.
