Former Tone-Deaf Singer Performs 'His Eye Is On The Sparrow'

Gospel singer Vonnie Lopez delivers another stunning performance with her rendition of ‘His Eye Is On The Sparrow’ on The World’s Best. This CBS show is a brand new talent competition that features contestants from all over the world in every different genre. First, the acts must audition for a panel of judges and a ‘wall’ of 50 experts. If a contestant scores 75 or above, then they will move on to the next round. After the initial audition, performers must battle each other for a spot in the finals. Contestant Vonnie Lopez sailed through her first audition and the battle round. Now, she is back for another number and she’s giving God all the glory. Growing up, Vonnie was tone-deaf. But after praying to the Lord, she miraculously found her voice. “Why should I feel discouraged Why should the shadows come Why should my heart feel lonely And long for heaven and home When Jesus is my portion A constant friend is he His eye is on the sparrow And I know he watches over me” This incredible performance just showcases how God can truly work miracles. Vonnie never thought she would be on a platform like this, but the Lord always has His plans. Today, the High Praise Choir joins Vonnie for this soul-filled performance. After the number, judge Faith Hill couldn’t hold back her praise saying, “It’s just like, so much soul in you, I can’t even put it into words.” Week after week, we’ve been moved by Vonnie’s gifted vocals and song selection. What a blessing to hear this praise on national television.

7-Year-Old Malea Emma Sings The National Anthem On American Idol

7-year-old viral sensation Malea Emma performs an incredible rendition of ‘The National Anthem’ on American Idol. We first met this talented kid after a video of her singing before a soccer game between the LA Galaxy and the Seattle Sounders was shared online. Social media immediately started buzzing and this little girl became an overnight star. Now, sweet Malea is traveling the country sharing her voice with others and it’s an absolute delight. 'O say can you see by the dawn's early light What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming' Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming' Today, she’s on the American Idol set to give the judges a rousing rendition of The Star-Spangled Banner. As she belts out every word, the three judges stand with their hands over their hearts. ‘The National Anthem’ is one of the hardest songs that any singer can perform. But Malea proved that she has what is takes to hit every single note. I just cannot get over how much love, enthusiasm and pride she has in the exact moment. It’s obvious that little Malea has a ton of talent and she’s definitely got a passion for performing. Even though she’s too young to actually compete on American Idol, with a voice like this, Malea is going to be a real contender in a few years. This is one performance that the judges aren’t going to forget any time soon.

Man Saves Over 500 Dogs Left In Dumpsters

One kind man has made it his mission to rescue dogs left in dumpsters. When God placed animals on this Earth, He truly knew what He was doing. This is especially true for dogs, in particular. These furry friends that ultimately become our pets definitely hold a very special place in our hearts. They become a part of our family and it’s always a heartwarming relationship to witness. Dogs are known for being loyal and giving us unconditional love. In return, we should be showing our animals the same love and attention. Sadly, this is not always the case and many dog are abused or abandoned. Every single day, Takis drives around looking for puppies who have been left by their owners. He checks dumpsters, alleys, and the side of the road. Takis has a shelter in Greece and, so far, he has rescued over 500 dogs from abandonment. In his country, it is estimated that there are over 1 million stray dogs. Takis notes that spay and neutering are very uncommon so a lot of animals, especially puppies, are left on their own. This selfless man is determined to help as many dogs as he can. Once they are rescued, Takis brings the poor animals back to his sanctuary where they are given food, water, and a warm place to sleep. Most importantly, these sweet creatures are given the love and attention that they never experienced. This Good Samaritan is making a difference in many lives around him and I hope others follow in his footsteps.

Gospel Contestant Belts Out 'Amazing Grace' On The World's Best

Contestant Vonnie Lopez belts out the words to ‘Amazing Grace’ on The World’s Best. The acts audition for a panel of judges and a ‘wall’ of 50 experts in all areas of entertainment. If a contestant scores 75 or above, then they will move on to the next round. After the initial audition, performers must battle each other for a spot in the finals. This one-of-a-kind show is bringing so much undiscovered talent to the stage. Today, Vonnie Lopez is back for another stunning performance. For this former tone-deaf singer’s first song, she beautifully sang “My Tribute (To God Be The Glory).” Now, she’s taking on a classic hymn as she confidently professes her love for Jesus with ‘Amazing Grace.’ “Amazing Grace, How sweet the sound That saved a wretch like me I once was lost, but now am found T'was blind but now I see T'was Grace that taught my heart to fear And Grace, my fears relieved How precious did that grace appear The hour I first believed” Her performance earned a standing ovation and judge Faith Hill even shed a few tears. “For all of us who grew up in the church, you are just allowing us to experience what it feels like to let yourself go and let the Spirit just take you.” This worship-filled performance moved Vonnie on to the next stage of competition. Now, it’s down to the championship round and I cannot wait to hear what this gospel singer does next.

The country superstar first connected with Ethan about two years ago at one of his concerts. When he was just a baby, Ethan was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis. This debilitating disorder greatly affects his breathing. While fighting his battle, Ethan had just one wish. This teen wanted to meet Luke Bryan. So, the Make-A-Wish Foundation helped arrange the get together. But this kindhearted country singer wasn’t just going to introduce say hi. In fact, Luke brought Ethan on stage with him and they sang an incredible duet together. The hit Billboard artist even gave the teen his guitar. Now, two years later, Ethan is hoping for another chance to sing with his idol. This 15-year-old is auditioning for American Idol and he’s performing Luke’s number 1 song, ‘I Do.’ Just watch as Luke grabs his guitar and starts to sing along with the young man. Ethan has definitely come a long way since his first performance on stage and he held his own with Luke. After the song, all three judges raved about the teen. Firefighter Receives Hospital Escort On The Way To Donate Organs

It was an emotional moment captured on camera as this deceased firefighter receives a hospital escort on the way to donate his organs. 31-year-old Cody Mooney was a firefighter with South Metro Fire Rescue in Colorado. Two years ago, he was diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer. After a hard battle, Cody underwent surgery in February. But complications led to the young man passing away. Sadly, he leaves behind his pregnant wife and four children. But even in death, Cody is continuing to save lives. As an organ donor, this firefighter has the opportunity to enrich countless more lives for those waiting for a transplant. After he took his last breath, Cody was wheeled out of his hospital room to the transplant center. During this journey, fellow firefighters and hospital staff lined the hallway to pay their respects to this inspiring man. There were plenty of tears as Cody’s wife walked alongside her husband for one last time. Even though he may no longer be with us on this earth, we can take comfort knowing that Cody is safe in the arms of the Lord. And this beautiful tribute during his last moments is the perfect way to show respect and admiration for this incredible man. We thank you for your service and you’re continued effort to save the lives of others. Revelations 21:4 "He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."

Blind Singer's 'Rise Up' Audition Brings Lionel Ritchie To Tears

Blind singer Shayy leaves one judge in tears after her powerful performance of Andra Day’s ‘Rise Up’ on American Idol. It has only been one year since this high school student started to complain of vision problems. As images started to get blurry, Shayy feared that she would need to get glasses. But after a routine trip to the eye doctor, the family realized this was a much more serious issue. Shayy was rushed to the hospital for an MRI and that’s when they discovered a tumor in her brain. After surgery, this young woman was declared legally blind. Despite her physical setbacks, Shayy never lost her passion for performing. Now, she’s taking her talents to the American Idol stage and it’s an emotional performance that everyone is talking about. After sharing her story, 17-year-old Shayy delivers a beautiful rendition of ‘Rise Up’ from Andra Day. “And I'll rise up I'll rise like the day I'll rise up I'll rise unafraid I'll rise up And I'll do it a thousand times again” When Shayy reached the chorus of this inspirational song, judge Lionel Ritchie couldn’t hold back the tears. All three judges gave this courageous young woman a standing ovation and she easily earned her ticket to Hollywood. But it was the emotional impact of her performance that will truly be remembered. Fellow judge Luke Bryan summed up the moment perfectly by saying, “You have what we cannot teach. We cannot teach letting the music flow straight from the soul, and that's what you did." What an incredible journey already and it’s only the beginner for this rising performer.

Teary-Eyed Groom Reacts To Bride Walking Down The Aisle

It was an unforgettable moment captured on camera as this groom reacts to his bride walking down the aisle. A wedding day is a day full of love and laughter. It is the momentous day that a woman and her groom commit themselves to one another in front of their family and the Lord. On a special day like this, so many emotions are present. At this particular wedding, the groom is so overcome with happiness at the sight of this bride that he cannot help but cry. Just watch this powerful moment as he spots his beloved for the very first time. As she walks down the aisle, the tears start to flow from his eyes. It’s apparent that he is choked up at the beauty and significance of the moment. Most people always look at the bride as she enters the room, but I’m so glad that someone caught this once-in-a-lifetime reaction. Now, the entire Internet is talking about this emotional groom and his beautiful response. This is certainly a memory that this couple will never forget and we wish them a lifetime of happiness as they are joined together in Holy matrimony. Mark 10: 6-9 “6 “But at the beginning of creation God ‘made them male and female.’ 7 ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, 8 and the two will become one flesh.’So they are no longer two, but one flesh. 9 Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”

Young Man Wins Talent Competition With 'Hallelujah' Performance

19-year-old Michael Rice wins talent competition with his incredible ‘Hallelujah’ performance. Michael was a contestant on the first season of All Together Now. This BBC show features a panel of 100 judges from the United Kingdom who all have a musical background. The panel includes performers, producers, and other experts in the music industry. Once an artist starts performing, the 100 can turn their light on, stand up and sing along. The contestant with the highest amount of lights from that round will move on in the competition. During his first performance, Michael earned a perfect score with his rousing rendition of ‘Proud Mary.’ He easily moved through the first two rounds to become a finalist. That’s when he gave it his all with a powerful performance of ‘Hallelujah.’ Leonard Cohen's rendition of 'Hallelujah' is one of the most popular songs of all time and now Michael is putting his own spin on the classic. It’s obvious that his vocal resonated with the panel because one by one they turned on their lights and stood up to belt out the iconic lyrics. As Michael hit every single note flawlessly, he earned enough votes to take the title. He was crowned the very first winner of All Together Now amid a sea of tears and cheers. Michael definitely put his heart and soul into every single song and he deserves this trophy. And with a voice like this, I’m this isn’t the last time that we’ll be hearing the name Michael Rice. Do you agree?

Strangers Help Rescue Baby Deer Trapped In Mud

Two workers help rescue a baby deer trapped in a mud pit and it’s a moment that will tug at your heart. Animals are truly a gift from God. These amazing creatures come in all shapes and sizes, and our Creator puts each one on this earth for a purpose. Many times, our worlds will overlap and this is one of those instances. While working in the area, two men caught a glimpse of something struggling in a massive mud pit. Upon closer inspection, they discovered that a baby deer was trapped in the wet mud with no way to escape. That’s when they rushed to the fawn’s aid, using an excavator to dig her out. Once they removed enough dirt and mud, they were able to use the bucket on the machine to gently lift the deer. Once safely on solid ground again, the fawn took a few moments to compose herself. Then, she started to walk towards the tree line to reunite with her family. It’s moments like this that truly restore my faith in humanity. These men did not have to step up in the way that they did but their efforts helped saved this sweet baby’s life. What a beautiful moment all captured on camera. Genesis 1:21 “So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living thing with which the water teems and that moves about in it, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.”

Marine Orchestrates Homecoming Surprise For His Daughter

This Marine just pulled off the sweetest homecoming surprise for his daughter and every precious moment was captured on camera. It’s never easy to be separated from a loved one. But this is the reality that many military families in our nation must face every single day. They are separated from their loved ones and must navigate the world without them for a prolonged time period. This means celebrating births, birthdays, holidays and more without these special people by your side. Even though we are all so proud of what these brave men and women are doing for our country, there is still a piece of our heart that aches for them to return home. This little girl has been missing her daddy while he has been serving in the Marine Corps. Today, she thinks she is getting a bunch of cookies, but the real surprise is even better. Just watch as she clutches her ‘Daddy Doll’ and runs outside to see a big box on the sidewalk. She is so excited because that box could hold a whole lot of cookies. As she starts to rip away the paper, she finds that the real surprise is her dad. He orchestrated this entire homecoming reunion and the smile on this girl’s face is worth every moment. I know this adorable toddler is happy to hug her real daddy right now. We are eternally thankful for the freedoms we have because of men and women like these who sacrifice for their country.

Chris Rupp Performs Willie Nelson's 'Always On My Mind'

Viral sensation Chris Rupp performs Willie Nelson’s classic song ‘Always On My Mind.’ For this performance, Chris is singing all three parts on his own. “Maybe I didn't love you Quite as often as I could have Maybe I didn't treat you Quite as good as I should have If I made you feel second best Girl I'm sorry I was blind You were always on my mind” Chris Rupp is quickly becoming a household name for his unique voice and arrangements. He rose to fame as an a cappella singing sensation in the group Home Free. Now, this talented singer is embarking on a solo career and each song is better than the last. Today, he’s using his vocal skills for an extra special rendition of this Willie Nelson favorite. This song is a little bit different because Chris recorded three different parts, so it’s almost like a trio singing together. And he’s not only singing, but playing three different instruments as well. It must take so much time and practice to perfect a performance like this, but Chris makes it seem completely effortless. I’m always in awe of how he can take a popular song and put his own unique spin on it. ‘Always On My Mind’ has an entirely different feel after this rendition. If you are a country music fan, than you can truly appreciate this remarkable cover. I hope we continue to hear more music like this from Chris Rupp. What did you think of this Willie Nelson tribute?

Behind the Scenes Of Film 'The Best of Enemies'

Stars Taraji P. Henson and Sam Rockwell share a behind the scenes look at their upcoming film ‘The Best Of Enemies.’ This powerful film is based on the true story of the unlikely friendship between Ann Atwater (Henson), an outspoken civil rights activist, and C.P. Ellis (Rockwell), a local Ku Klux Klan leader. In the summer of 1971, the pair co-chaired a community summit, battling over the desegregation of schools in Durham, North Carolina. Despite their differences, the two started to communicate and learn more about each other. The incredible events that unfolded would change Durham and the lives of Atwater and Ellis forever. Now, the two lead stars are sharing their thoughts on this timely film. Taraji P. Henson comments on the theme of the film by saying, “At the end of the day, the message is that love always wins.” The film follows that radically-charged summer and an unlikely friendship that garnered nationwide attention. In theaters April 5, ‘The Best Of Enemies’ is sure to be a film you don’t want to miss. Matthew 5:43-48 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same?”
