World-renowned tenor Josh Groban performs a stirring rendition of his single, ‘River.’ This song was originally released in 2018 and quickly became a hit for the talented singer.
“So I walk down to the river,
Where the troubles, they can't find me,
Let the waters there remind me,
The sun will be there when we wake,
I walk down to the river,”
As the Coronavirus has forced many people all around the globe to stay in their homes, it has caused many feelings of fear and uncertainty. That’s when Josh decided to add some joy into people’s day with his newest endeavor called Shower Songs. Through social media, Josh will take song requests and perform them from home.
Today, he’s singing one of his own songs called ‘River.’
“Though I might not understand it,
It's not always as we planned it,
But we grow stronger when we break,
So I walk down to the river,
I walk down to the river”
Back in 2018, Josh spoke to People magazine about the message behind the song. “I hope this song and video are a reminder that it’s the simple steps, the smallest gestures, that can pull us back to the light. It’s those things for me. Find your “river.””
As we all walk through troubling times, the words of ‘River’ may be more relevant than ever. At many are isolated at home, it is so important to make sure that we are caring for ourselves both mentally and physically. We thank Josh for sharing this message and bringing happiness during these darker times.
In this heartfelt music video, Lionel Ritchie sings ‘We Are The World’ alongside new and former American Idol contestants during the American Idol Finale 2020.
“We can't go on, pretending day-by-day
That someone, somewhere soon make a change
We're all a part of God's great big family
And the truth, you know, love is all we need
We are the world, we are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day, so let's start giving
There's a choice we're making, we're saving our own lives
It's true we'll make a better day, just you and me”
As the song goes on, scenes from around the country flash across the screen. All of the places are iconic from Times Square in New York City to the pristine beaches of Florida to the Las Vegas Strip to the U.S. Capitol steps in Washington, D.C.
But one thing that is different about these places is that they are completely empty. Compared to busy streets filled with people, these places and landmarks show that no one is around because of the shelter-at-home order during the coronavirus pandemic. Instead, the faces of the singers are creatively imposed on the images from around the country.
It is so cool to see the American Idol judges, Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie, as well as the past and present American Idol contestants joining together in song for this wonderful video.
“We are the world song is just as beautiful as the first time it was recorded with Lionel Richie and Michael Jackson,” comments one person on YouTube. “Love it.”
“Absolutely loved this then and love it more now! The world needs this!” writes another person. “God bless the world and keep us all safe and healthy.”
What a beautiful video from the American Idol family. May it bring a smile to your face today.
Some of our favorite contestants from The Voice come together for a very special performance of ‘What The World Needs Now Is Love.’
This 1965 song was composed by legendary musician Burt Bacharach and made popular by Jackie DeShannon. After its release, the song quickly shot to the top of the music charts.
Now, it’s a classic tune that has truly stood the test of time.
“Lord, we don't need another mountain,
There are mountains and hillsides enough to climb
There are oceans and rivers enough to cross,
Enough to last till the end of time.”
As our world walks through unprecedented times, the lyrics of ‘What The World Needs Now Is Love’ right ever so true.
Today, alumni from The Voice join together for a virtual performance during the Season 18 finale. You may recognize Kevin Farris, Lauren Duski, Jacob Maxwell, Alexa Cappelli, Jake Hoot, Mike Jerel, Ricky Duran and Britton Buchanan as they belt out these words of comfort.
“What the world needs now is love, sweet love
It's the only thing that there's just too little of
What the world needs now is love, sweet love,
No, not just for some but for everyone.”
As we watch these beautiful scenes shot from all over the country, we are reminded of the power of love and kindness. When we all come together, we can achieve so many great things. And during these times of fear and anxiety, a little bit of love can truly go a long way.

May 24, 2020 This week we talk about the most popular kind of magic: Movie magic. This kind of magic relies on your own imagination to help you feel like something is real when it really isn't. Going to a Disney theme park draws upon this same kind of imagination and yet, there's one ingredient to the magic that is always overlooked by children: love. The trip is not complete unless you go to that movie or visit Disneyland with some loving family and friends. Even the happiest place on earth can be a miserable experience if you're with grumpy selfish people. Love more than a feeling, it's a doing.
The spiritual battle is raging on and the cacophony of the secular world is muddling the whisper of the Holy Spirit. This reflection is an examination of that battle. It poses a challenge and invites us to examine our conscious and become mindful of the false-self and the traits of the flesh; while calling us to stir up the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit ...

The Voice winner Todd Tilghman performs an awe-inspiring rendition of ‘I Can Only Imagine’ that helps cinch his win.
This inspiring tune is the best-selling Christian song of all time. The MercyMe hit was originally released in 1999 and continues to be a staple in church services today. There’s no doubt that this song has truly stood the test of time and it even inspired a film of the same name.
‘Surrounded by You glory
What will my heart feel
Will I dance for you Jesus
Or in awe of You be still
Will I stand in your presence
Or to my knees will I fall
Will I sing hallelujah
Will I be able to speak at all
I can only imagine’
When we first met Todd, he was a nervous wreck. But his hearing his blind audition of ‘We’ve Got The Night’ from Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band, there was absolutely no reason for all those nerves.
As if his performance wasn’t impressive enough, Todd revealed that he is actually a pastor with eight kids at home. Originally, all four judges fought for Todd, but he ultimately chose to become a part of Team Blake.
Throughout the season, Todd has continued to showcase his incredible talent and love for the Lord. Because of the COVID-19, this season of The Voice has had contestants performing from home.
This proved no obstacle for Todd as he was crowned the ultimate winner after a soul-stirring rendition of ‘I Can Only Imagine.’ We’ve been rooting for Todd the whole competition and this pastor definitely deserves all the accolades.

In this inspiring audition, one visually impaired contestant named Sirine sings her heart out for the judges on Britain’s Got Talent.
Sirine is a 14-year-old from London, and at the start of her audition, one of the hosts leads her out to the center of the stage. She tells the audience and the judges all of the family members that are there to support her, and she also shares about how she cannot see.
“There was a time where I could, and now I can’t,” she says. “But I guess, music is my vision, and that’s just what I live by. Music is my thing.”
After Sirine is led to the piano, she starts to sing, and the audience and judges are immediately captivated by her. Her voice is so beautiful and angelic, and her rendition of the song ‘Salvation’ by Gabrielle Aplin is just amazing.
“You are the avalanche, one world away
My make believing while I'm wide awake
Just a trick of light to bring me back around again
Those wild eyes, a psychedelic silhouette
I never meant to fall for you, but I was buried underneath
And all that I could see was white”
As Sirine is singing, the camera flashes to show that her little brother and other family members have tears welling up in their eyes. What a beautiful and inspirational performance!
After she finishes her audition, Sirine gets a standing ovation from the audience and the judges.
“Well done, Sirine!” says one of the judges. “What you couldn’t see was the whole of the Palladium on their feet, applauding you, because they loved that.”
Sirine just “exudes lightness,” as one of the judges said, and it is so wonderful to see that she received four yeses and will be going through to the next round of Britain’s Got Talent!
In this exciting audition, one children’s dance group performs an Alice in Wonderland themed routine on Britain’s Got Talent.
“There’s a party going on in Wonderland and it’s not just Alice and the White Rabbit who are invited,” says the caption on this Britain’s Got Talent YouTube video. “Dance down the rabbit hole into a magical adventure with them!”
The children’s dance group is called VA Kidz, and all the dancers are between the ages of 7 and 19. They are all extremely dedicated to their craft and have so much talent to share with the audience.
During their performance, the dancers of VA Kidz are doing so many impressive leaps and turns around the stage. And the costumes that they are each wearing are so colorful and detailed. They definitely go with the Alice in Wonderland theme and bring so much excitement to the dance.
Throughout the song, all of the members of the group are dancing and acting, as well as doing acrobatics to make the performance come to life. These children do it all, and they are all so talented!
With the colorful and dramatic costumes, and all the impressive dance moves, there is so much going on while you look at the stage. It is a feast for the eyes! What an exciting and exhilarating performance!
The audience continues to cheer loudly throughout the performance during all of the impressive moves that the dancers are doing. The whole thing is very entertaining and makes me want to watch the Alice in Wonderland movie again!
It is clear to see how hard the members of VA Kidz worked on the choreography of this performance. The judges and the audience loved them, and they are now on their way to the next round of Britain’s Got Talent! Congrats to these talented kids!
