Rayan and Arlene Cosme teenage sweethearts and parents to 3 beautiful girls. But right after she gave birth to her last daughter, Grayan, Arlene started to complain of a stiff neck and migraines.
Just 4 days after Grayan's birth, Arlene slipped into a coma due to a brain aneurysm. Rayan was devastated and tried to do everything he could think of to wake Arlene up. Over the course of 11 days, Rayan tried renewing their wedding vows, christening their newborn daughter and performing a beautiful serenade. Everything was done right at Arlene's bedside as she lay in the hospital room.
This desperate father of 3 tried desperately to wake his wife, but sadly, Arlene passed after 11 days in a coma. This beautiful video showcases Rayan singing an emotional tune right to Arlene. It will truly tug at all your heartstrings.
It may be a hard moment to watch but I know down the road, this will be a cherished memory for the family. I pray for the Rayan and his 3 children during this difficult time.
Florida deputies recently took down a suspect in a very unusual way. When reports of an armed suspect threatening employees and customers inside a Rainbow Store came through, the police department jumped into action.
When they arrived on scene, they found the suspect inside threatening to harm people with a hammer. One of the quick-thinking deputies grabbed a can of baked beans and used that to stop the suspect.
The officer grabbed a few cans of Bush's Extra Brown Sugar Baked Beans and tossed them right at the armed man. Even though it sounds a little odd, it was enough to stop the man and take him into custody.
When you're in a different environment, sometimes you have to use the resources around you and that's exactly what happened in this situation. After he was stopped, the armed man was arrested and charged with an assault on an officer.

When Christina Wells was just 19-years-old when her dreams of becoming a singer were crushed. She went on an audition and made it to the final rounds before she was told that she was cut because she wasn't the right size.
Now, Christina is a 42-year-old registered nurse and she's ready to show her children that nothing should prevent you from making your dreams come true. She's putting all the negative comments aside and stepping onto the America's Got Talent stage to try and take the prize. And once she starts singing, I couldn't help but be in awe of her incredible talent.

Michael Ketterer is a pediatric mental health nurse and father of 6. Of his 6 children, 5 of them were adopted and Michael wants them all to know that they are in a safe place where they are free to dream.
Today, he's leading by example and following his own dream of singing on the big stage. Just watch as he nervously steps up to the microphone on America's Got Talent. Simon can immediately sense his nerves, but this loving father has already touched the hearts of the judges before he even started singing. But this incredible father but all the nerves to the side as he belted out an incredible rendition of the Bee Gees' "To Love Somebody."
Michael truly put his heart and soul into this performance and it all comes across in his voice. You can tell that his mind was reeling with all kinds of emotion when he received a standing ovation from the judges and audience. But when Simon reached over and pushed that coveted golden buzzer, joy and excitement spread throughout the father. That's when his children all came running out onto the stage to give their dad a well-deserved hug.
I'm so glad that Michael is headed straight for the live shows and I just know his next performance is going to be even better than the first.
32-year-old Nicole McGuinness had no idea that her appearance on HGTV's 'Beachfront Bargain Hunt' would end up saving her life.
Dr. Erich Voigt is an ear, nose and throat surgeon from NYU Langone Health and HGTV viewer. He was watching Nicole's episode when he couldn't help but notice the small lump on her throat. As a trained surgeon, Dr. Voigt knew he needed to make sure that Nicole was getting this lump checked out, as it could be serious.
So he turned to Facebook to try and get in touch with this complete stranger. Dr. Voigt shared a clip of the show on his page and wrote "I am watching a tv show and notice this woman has a left thyroid mass. She needs a sonogram and fine needle biopsy. I wonder if she knows and hope it's benign."
Through the powers of social media, he was able to make contact with Nicole and encouraged her to get the lump looked at. Nicole followed his advice and went to see a specialist who diagnosed her with thyroid cancer. She is now getting the treatment she needs for her condition.
Today, this unlikely pair are meeting in-person for the very first time and it's absolutely heartwarming to witness. It's incredible how two total strangers can change each other's lives. Who else is in awe of this story?
6-year-old Anya Ottley suffers from a rare form of kidney cancer called Wilms' tumour. But this little fighter isn't letting a small thing like cancer hold her back from anything.
Her mother says, "She even takes the chemotherapy in her stride. It makes her sick but she tells me it's not too bad for her and that other children on the ward are much sicker. She is really caring like that."
As Anya gets ready to undergo mutliple rounds of chemotherapy, her mother told her that at the end she would have a 'ring-the-bell' party to signify that she was better. Anya was so excited at that idea that she said she wanted to sing 'Fight Song' at the party.
When she attended a wedding recently, Anya thought that would be the perfect time to practice the song in front of an audience. Her uncle caught the entire moment on camera and it's absolutely amazing to witness. This little fighter is belting her heart out and it's giving me all the feels.
She may be young, but Anya has the spirit of someone much older. She has been such an inspiration to those around her and now the whole world is getting to see this incredible young girl.

Bruno Rafael Paiva is a student teacher in Brazil who has currently been living at the school and not receiving a salary. It's been two months since Bruno has been paid, as he's been filling in for a teacher on maternity leave and all the paperwork has not gone through yet. But this amazing teacher is so passionate about his students and giving them an education that he has continued to teach through it all.
When the kids heard about their teacher's struggle, they knew that they needed to do something to help him out. So they decided to pool their money together and present Bruno with an incredible gift.
They left the surprise on his desk and waited for him to walk into the school on day as they kept a camera rolling. Bruno wrote on Facebook that "I had a surprise that was really not prepared. It's gonna be two and a half months that I teach, and I haven't even received the first salary yet. Teacher life is not easy."
He was overcome at emotion for this incredible gesture and now the whole world is getting to know this selfless teacher. I'm so proud of these students for giving back to this incredible role model.

That’s when Hurricane Katrina completely changed everything. "Katrina happened in New Orleans, and I knew. Like, just something told me that my child was there. It was weird. It was very, very weird."
It took almost 4 years for her adoption to be complete, but when Sandra held her baby boy, Louis, in her arms she knew that everything was exactly how it was meant to be. "It's just like being a mom, I finally realize, 'Oh, this is what I was supposed to do when I grew up."
After Louis, Sandra adopted a daughter named Laila in 2015. A few years later, in February of 2017, Hoda adopted her own baby girl named Haley Joy. She even called up her friend Sandra during the process to get advice and encouragement.
As these two amazing women share their adoption stories, they can’t help but let the tears flow. And after hearing this sweet journey, I was reaching for a tissue too.
