Debra Davis is no ordinary cafeteria worker. Debra, better known as Auntie Debra, at Hoover High School makes sure she delivers a smile and a sense of humor with every single meal. Her contagious personality is such a hit with the students. No one can forget that giant smile and her caring nature. But Debra doesn’t stop at just feeding the high school students. After school is over with, Debra drives her '76 Chevy Malibu all over San Diego. She’s looking for homeless people who are hungry for a home-cooked meal. Even though Debra doesn’t have the money to for this sort of operation, she’s determined to give back where there is a need. "But you don't understand the joy that I get from feeding people," she says. And Debra’s kindness hasn’t gone unnoticed by the community. Recently, the school district invited Debra down to the school’s auto shop for a very special surprise. The auto body class had refurbished a 2014 Mazda 3 and they were giving it to Debra. Just watching the joy on her face when she realizes that the car is for her absolutely made my day. Now, this amazing woman can continue her work of helping those in need. "I was looking for my reward in heaven and y'all gave me a little bit here on Earth," she said.

How Do I Know If I Am Saved?

As we Christians navigate the world, it's no surprise that questions arise from time to time. Especially when we are new in our relationship with Christ, there are some questions that we may be too embarrassed to ask. Some of these topics can be hotly debated or difficult to discuss. Thankfully, Pastor Todd Wagner from Watermark Community Church is known for not shying away from the tough topics and turning to The Bible to answer all of our questions. He’s even started his own show called Real Truth. Real Quick. Every week, he takes a popular question and breaks down the answer while looking at biblical evidence. Today’s topic is ‘How Do I Know If I Am Saved?’ This is an interesting question and Pastor Todd has discussed similar topics such as ‘Can I Lose My Salvation?’ One of the most important points that Pastor Todd makes at the very beginning is to be cautious when discussing this topic with others. You don’t want to cause those who are saved to question their salvation and you don’t want to give false assurance to those who are not saved. He goes through 7 different principles and it’s definitely an eye-opening debate. I love how he is able to take tough topics and break them down into words that we can all understand. And he goes back to scripture and God’s word to dive deeper into the discussion. This in-depth look will truly open your eyes to this topic. What do you think of Pastor Todd's discussion?

Classic Frank Sinatra And Elvis Presley Duet From 1960

In 1960, Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley performed a duet together and now this special moment in time is resurfacing and it’s absolutely amazing to watch. Both of these talented musicians have truly stood the test of time and their songs have gone down in history as some of the greatest. Their classics are still replayed and covered over and over again. Even though many try to imitate, there are no two people like Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley. On Saturday, March 26, 1960 ABC Television put on a special program with Frank Sinatra. Other artists such as Sammy Davis Jr., Joey Bishop, Nancy Sinatra, and Elvis Presley were also part of the show. I’m sure this was amazing to watch the first time around, but it’s even more incredible watching the duet and knowing the legacy these two men left behind. It’s not everyday that you see two musical legends team up for a duet but that’s exactly what is happening today. A lot of people were surprised that these two ‘rivals’ would team up for a television program. The special was filmed shortly after Elvis returned home from his stint in the military and he had been absent from the music scene for almost 2 years. He wasn’t sure if the public would still respond positively to him. Frank Sinatra was encouraged by his daughter, Nancy, to help Elvis out by welcoming him home with the television special. And now the duet has gone down in history as a famous moment between two musical greats.

15-Year-Old Uses ASL To Talk To Blind And Deaf Man On Flight

15-year-old Clara Daly was traveling with her mother Jane from Boston to Los Angeles by plane when the most remarkable moment happened. The six-hour flight, the flight attendants came over the speaker and asked if anyone on board knew sign language. There was a passenger who was blind and deaf and they were looking for help to communicate with him. They wanted to assist the man and make sure that all of his needs were met, but didn’t know how. Clara has always been interested in sign language and has even studied some, so she rang her bell to call over the attendants and offer her assistance. Tim Cook was on his way to Portland after visiting his sister in Boston. Clara used fingerspelling, which is where you sign each letter in every word to talk to Tim. This way, Tim could feel her hands and they could communicate. "I went to [Cook] a total of three times, once to get him water, another to tell him the time, and the last hour of the flight to just talk to him," Clara said. Together, they talked about family and Clara’s future plans while she learned about his past as a salesman. Another passenger named Lynette Scribner noticed the situation and decided to take a picture. She posted the photo online with a description of the amazing event she witnessed and it received attention from all over. In fact, the post has been shared over 650,000 times on Facebook. Lynette ended her post by saying ‘I have been so touched by the response to this story. We are all starving for good news and this was just what we needed.’

'Are You Becoming The Person You Want to Be?' - Discussion From Jefferson Bethke

Speaker and fellow Christian Jefferson Bethke receives a lot of questions about God. As a motivational speaker, he tries his best to answer them all by going straight to the source, The Bible. He never shies away from the tough topics and he always gives honest and open commentary. It’s definitely refreshing to hear a Christian address some of the topics that come up from time to time. Today, Jefferson is talking about looking at ourselves in the mirror and asking ‘Are you becoming the person that you want to be?’ In our current world, it’s easy to become distracted or believe that pieces of technology can actually help better ourselves. We have instant access to millions of pieces of information and that could seem very helpful. But sometimes, these advantages can also lead to our downfall. Our phones, for instance, connect us to the world in a matter of seconds but they can also lead to distractions that lead us astray. Jefferson points out that when we wake up in the morning and immediately turn to our phones or going to it throughout the day and always having to have it around is a disadvantage. “That’s a micro habit that’s making you more anxious, making you more frantic, usually making you more bitter…So that’s forming us even though we don’t realize it.’ Jefferson truly makes some good points and this discussion definitely makes you think about the steps we take to better ourselves and grow our relationship with Christ. What do you think about this topic?

Today, this 13-year-old is stepping onto the America’s Got Talent stage and he’s auditioning with the song that got him started in the first place. But before he started singing, Jeffrey had a very interesting conversation with the judges. He told them that he was an only child and if he won the million-dollar prize, the one thing that he’d really like would be a dog. That’s when Simon chimed in and told him, ‘If you do well I’m going to buy you a dog.’ This definitely helped to calm Jeffrey’s nerves and he was ready to give the performance of his life. Just watch as he confidently steps up to the microphone and starts to belt out ‘You Raise Me Up.’ It’s truly an audition like no other and within seconds he had the crowd cheering and people standing on their feet. Postal Worker Saves Dad And Daughter In Building Fire

Chris Turner is an Army veteran who now works for the Postal Service as a mail carrier. He lived in Germany for four years and was deployed several times to the war in Bosnia. During his time in the military, Chris was trained in combat first aid. “You’d have to give IV’s and CPR, and if anyone was ever to get injured, you’d know what to do.” He was medically retired after an injury and that’s when he went to work for the Postal Service, where they hired many veterans. Little did Chris know that his military training would come in handy one day during his routine route. This amazing man ran right into an apartment fire when he heard people crying out for help. He had noticed the flames and smokes near the end of his route and knew he needed to do something. That’s when he noticed a father and daughter on the second floor of the apartment complex. The fire was in the entranceway of the building, so the exit was blocked. Chris told the pair that they would have to jump out of the window in order to escape the flames. The teenage girl jumped into Chris’ arms but the father was afraid. Soon, firefighters arrived and they used a ladder to rescue the frightened dad. This everyday hero even gave the young girl his jacket to keep warm since she only had on a t-shirt and sweatpants. Both dad and daughter are now safe thanks to Chris and his quick thinking. God definitely put this man in the right place at the right time!

Bullied 15-Year-Old Earns Golden Buzzer With Aretha Franklin Song

15-year-old Amanda Mena was raised in the Dominican Republic until the age of four. That is when her parents came to The United States and Amanda didn’t know a bit of English. Because of her language barrier, this sweet girl was bullied and teased at school. It was a tough season of her life, but Amanda turned to music to help deal with her emotions. Now, she’s hoping to turn that passion for music into a reality as she auditions on the big stage for America’s Got Talent. Even though she was a little nervous. Amanda was ready to impress the judges with her rendition of Aretha Franklin’s ‘Natural Woman.’ This teen may be young but her voice is well beyond her years. And she looked perfectly comfortable on the stage during the entire performance. Even Simon commented, “This is an audition that we’re going to remember for a long time.” But it was Mel B that really left the lasting impression. She said, “I’ve got all goose pimples all over. That was just crazy. I love you. I love your voice.” And then this fiery judge decided to send a message to all of those bullies from Amanda’s past by pressing the coveted golden buzzer. This means that Amanda will move straight to the live shows. It was truly a worthy performance and I’m so glad that everyone loves and appreciates this talented teen. I can’t wait to see the amazing song that she performs next. What about you?

Baptism On The Beach Draws Crowd And Cheers

In this day and age, it’s important to lift up the important moments where God completely shines through. It seems like every time that you turn on the news or watch a video, there is something bad going on. There is so much hate in our world today that it can be tough to find the positive aspects. God is alive and working all around us, even when we think He’s not there. And that’s so apparent in this recent moment on the beaches of Panama City. One woman witnessed the most amazing scene as beach goers gathered by the water to watch a baptism. Right there in the middle of the ocean, a new person gave their life to Christ and it’s absolutely beautiful. I couldn’t believe how many people were gathered to watch this incredible event. It’s truly a blessed moment when someone makes the decision to accept Jesus Christ in their hearts and give themselves to Him. The recorder captioned the moment by saying “Our God's not dead he is surely alive! Watching this happen right now on the beaches of Panama city! It's things like this that need to go viral!” I absolutely agree with this sentiment. I wish we could see more things like this on the news or on social media. I’m just so glad that this amazing baptism was all captured on video and now thousands of people are able to witness this moment. I bet there was a lot of ‘amens‘ on the beach that day!

Simon Stops Classical Singer And Gives Him New Challenge

25-year-old Daniel Emmet is a Rochester, NY native looking to make it big time. This aspiring singer has been performing in Las Vegas, but he’s hoping to reach a larger audience when he auditions for America’s Got Talent. Daniel came out on stage with an original song of his own that he hoped would impress the judges. He explained his style of performing as classical crossover and he’s ready to give this audition his all. But just a few verses into his song, Simon halts the entire performance. Even though the crowd was cheering for Daniel, judge Simon wanted to know if he had another song to perform. That’s when Daniel informed him that he only came prepared with his original number. “Just singing that song, that’s not enough,” Simon said. Just when Daniel thought all hope might be lost, the notoriously hard judge gave him a rare opportunity that I’ve never heard of before. He asked Daniel if he would be willing to learn a completely new song and come back in 1 hour for a second audition. Daniel accepted the challenge and spent the next 60 minutes learning the lyrics and melody to a song he knew nothing about. The song was Il Divo’s “Passera” and it required Daniel to sing in Italian. But when he returns to the stage for a second chance, the audience was on their feet within seconds. Simon was exactly right about this special singer and Daniel truly has a talented voice when paired with the right tune. The judges all voted him on to the next round and now Daniel will really have to bring his ‘A’ game for the next performance.

Brenda’s heart was breaking as she watched her son, Jonathan, slip into a terrible depression. Jonathan found himself in a dark place and even told his mom on the phone one day ‘it’s not how I’m gonna commit suicide Mum, it’s when I’m gonna do it.’ Brenda knew her son was crying out for help so she reassured him that he was loved and she would always be there for him. Thankfully, Jonathan was able to pull himself out of the depths and turn his entire life around. He quit drinking alcohol, started exercising and even began his own roofing business. Brenda is so proud of her son that she wanted to give him a very special surprise. That’s when she contacted The Kyle And Jackie O radio show. These disc jockeys are known for giving back to those in the community and that’s exactly what’s about to happen to Jonathan today. The hosts had their groundskeeper contact Jonathan’s company about coming out to look at a leaky roof in the studio. Jonathan has no idea that this is all an elaborate set-up to get him to the station for his surprise. Just watch as he enters the studio, thinking he is there for a job. After a few minutes, they ask Jonathan to sit down and they let him know that his mom told the hosts all about his inspirational story. A Cappella Group Sings Johnny Cash 'Daddy Sang Bass'

‘One of these days and it won't be long. I'll rejoin them in a song. I'm gonna join the family circle at the Throne. No, the circle won't be broken. By and by, Lord, by and by.’ The talented ensemble of VoicePlay never cease to amaze me with their incredible harmonies and songs. Somehow, they always manage to choose the perfect tune to showcase their talent and skill. And this a cappella doesn’t just sing, they put on a full performance each and every time. Today, they’re covering a Johnny Cash classic and it’s one song you don’t want to miss. We’ve all heard the original ‘Daddy Sang Bass’ but you’ve definitely never heard a version quite like this. VoicePlay puts their own spin on this classic and it’s absolutely amazing. I just love how it starts out slow and then when they chorus kicks in, the sound completely changes. There's no doubt that this group can sing but hearing them perform this Johnny Cash tune was beyond awesome. I just love how all of their voices blend together to produce a sound like no other. There's nothing like hearing a good old-fashioned song and it's even better when it's a cappella. This classic really transports me back in time. And I just can’t get over all of those talented voices. It must take a lot of hard work and practice to perfect a song like this, but these guys pulled it off seamlessly. I hope we get to hear more covers like this in the future!

Dog Found Wrapped In A Trash Bag Gets Loving Home

Erin Lebo was in for the shock of her life when she spotted a black trash bag on the side of the road on day. She pulled over for closer inspection and was horrified to find a dog wrapped up inside. She immediately took the poor pup to a local veterinarian clinic where they discovered that this Shih Tzu was in pretty bad condition. Not only was he severely dehydrated, but he was also left blind and deaf from untreated ear and eye infections. The vet estimated that the dog, who they named Buddy, was probably left in the trash bag for 3 or 4 days before Erin came along. One of the saddest discoveries is when the vet determined that Buddy had most likely spent his whole life in a cage and this was one of his first experiences with kind human interaction. But the gruesome discoveries were far from over. Erin decided to go back to where she had found Buddy to see if there were any other clues to where he came from. That’s when Erin found multiple animal skeletons and what appeared to be doggy dumping ground. Thankfully, she found Buddy in time before he became another victim. Buddy will get to live out the rest of his days in a loving home that truly cares for him and shows him the care and affection that he’s been missing his entire life. I can’t believe someone would throw away innocent animals like this, but hopefully they will be caught and stopped soon.

Just believe and have faith, know that He's with you every day.’ There’s no doubt that little Caleb Serrano has a heart for the Lord. And this energetic little guy loves nothing more than giving praise to His name any way he can. Today, young Caleb is back on the Little Big Shots stage to lead Steve Harvey and the crowd in some amazing worship. Caleb may be young, but his voice and talent is well beyond his age. Just watch as he confidently steps onto the stage and starts to belt out the powerful words of Shirley Caesar's "It's Alright, It's Ok." These lyrics always touch a special place in my heart, but hearing them come from this little fella sends my heart soaring. I just love watching the younger generation praise the Lord and there’s nothing better than Caleb’s worship performance. Within seconds of starting to sing, he has the whole crowd clapping along and I couldn’t help but join in. There’s even people raising their hands in praise right along with Caleb. He truly brought God to the stage and took everyone to church. And when he hits those notes at the end, I was in complete awe. This young man has a passion like I’ve never seen before and I sure hope that he keeps that fire alive for the Lord. Who else wants to hear more worship and praise from Caleb? I know I sure do!

Security Camera Shows 17-Month-Old Falling Into Pool

As the summertime comes around, the kids are all ready to play and have some fun. There are a lot of great memories made during this time but there can also be hidden dangers that all parents should be aware of. This nightmare became a reality for Tanah Zuniga when her 17-month-old son fell into the family’s above ground pool. It was all captured on a surveillance camera as the little boy and his 2-year-old cousin were able to unlock the door and wander outside. The 2-year-old climbed up the ladder to the pool and his little cousin followed after him. The heart wrenching video shows the small boy going right under the water and his cousin trying to pull him up. But his efforts were not working, so the cousin walked back into the house and alerted the parents. That’s when you see both women rush outside and desperately grab the 17-month-old. "When we pulled him out of the water, he was already gone. He was completely blue. His lips were white. He was not moving. He was not breathing," Tanah said. Tanah’s sister, Karly, had previous CPR training, so she immediately went to work on the baby. Thankfully, he began to cough and breath on his own before the paramedics arrived. The toddler was then rushed to the hospital for additional treatment but was able to make a full recovery. Tanah recalls the moment by saying, "God brought my baby back. I truly believe that.” This is such a scary situation but an important warning for all of the parents out there that pools can be a dangerous risk for young children. Please take the proper precautions to make sure that something like this never happens to your child.

Christian Speaker On Why Millennials Frustrate Him

Motivational speaker and Christian Jefferson Bethke receives a lot of questions about God. As a popular speaker, he tries his best to answer them all by going straight to the source, The Bible. He never shies away from the tough topics and he always gives honest and open commentary. It’s definitely refreshing to hear a fellow Christian address some of the topics that come up from time to time. Today, Jefferson is talking about millennials and he’s a little bit frustrated by them. Jefferson considers himself a millennial, so he is not excluding himself in these discussions. There are definitely some things about his own habits that begin to frustrate him. He started the discussion by talking about coffee shops. Years ago, you had to go to the grocery store to get your coffee and now there are shops on every corner. But it seems like some of the specialty stores look down on the chain coffee shops, such as Starbucks or Caribou Coffee. But Jefferson points out that if these larger chains weren’t around, the coffee shop trend wouldn’t even exist. Jefferson draws this comparison with millennials and how they view the older generation, especially in the church community. Sometimes, the younger generation can look down on their predecessors and how they did things such as a ‘stuffy’ church with hymnals and a dress code. But ultimately, these older generations paved the way for us to worship in our own ways. Instead of having a superior attitude and a negative tone, we should be thankful for those that came before us and all they have done.

These a cappella men mashed up some of the best Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons songs and it’s a medley you don’t want to miss. You’ll get to hear some of the classics like ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry’ and ‘Walk Like A Man.’ There’s so much talent in this medley that I can’t even pick a favorite moment. I know it must’ve taken a lot of time and practice to perfect this performance but these men pulled it off seamlessly. What an incredible arrangement from Yo Han Hong. These men truly have a gift for singing and performing and I'm so glad that they are sharing that gift with the world. They always seem to pick the perfect covers to showcase their amazing talent and this medley is a great fit. I’m just in awe of this incredible performance. Who else agrees?
