Actor Tim Allen On Overcoming Tragedy And Addiction

Critically acclaimed actor Tim Allen opens up on the tragedies and triumphs that led him to his success today. Over the years, Tim has been one of America's favorite dads on television! He started as Tim ‘The Toolman’ Taylor and now plays Mike Baxter on the hit show ‘Last Man Standing.’ But Tim's life didn't start out full of glitz and glamour. The Hollywood actor was just 11 years old when his father was tragically killed by a drunk driver. That was a turning point in Tim’s life. The loss led him to turn to drugs to try and ease the pain. That addiction eventually led him to prison. His time behind bars convinced Tim that he needed to change his ways and start leading a better life. He pursued a career in comedy, including standup. This led to the starring role in Home Improvement. During the height of his success, Tim still wrestled with alcohol addiction. Another run in with the law urged Tim to kick the habit for good. Now, he has been sober for more than 20 years. For the past seven years, Tim has portrayed conservative father and husband, Mike Baxter on ‘Last Man Standing.’ In an age where being conservative in Hollywood is frowned upon, Tim has found his niche. He’s also looking forward to the upcoming release of Toy Story 4, in which he voices animated toy Buzz Lightyear. The road to success was not easy for Tim Allen, but he’s sharing his struggles in hopes that his story may resonate with someone else.

Optical Illusion Dance Crew Earns Golden Buzzer

Talented dance crew Art Gee earned the golden buzzer on Spain’s Got Talent with their optical illusion act. The men stepped onto the stage wearing dramatic outfits. One side of their body was clad in white while the other side was clothed in black apparel. When the lights first when down and the men took their spot, we weren’t sure what their routine would be but it wasn’t long before we found ourselves in awe. When the music started and they began to walk and move around the stage, it was an instant hit. The dancers start to perform for complicated moves and the real imagery of the performance is seen. As they jump, skip and flip we can barely figure out which leg goes with which person. This optical illusion makes it look like there is another set of dancers or that the men are floating in mid-air. I’m sure that this routine took so much time and effort to perfect. It truly requires so much attention to detail and making sure that the costume are just right. The audience was cheering for Art Gee and the judges were on their feet too. And just when I thought the audition was all over, the judges all joined hands and pressed the golden buzzer for the unique dance crew. Now, they automatically move on to the next round. What a crazy routine! These incredible talented men obviously chose the right creative routine for their talent at this worldwide entertainment competition!

He lets his mind and emotions move through his fingers and onto the keys. Many people call this talent a true gift. Piano has truly been a life-changing discovery for the young man. As a victim of bullying, Brad used piano as a means of escape and way to show others that nothing could hold him back. "I was a victim of bullying. People -- teachers, professionals, students -- they didn't understand autism. They thought I was never going to graduate high school." Now, Brad is an accomplished musician with 19 albums and hundreds of songs and he’s sharing those sounds with his community. Each summer, Music For Everyone places public pianos all across Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Matt has made it his mission to get out every single day and play the piano for strangers passing by. Singer MacKenzie Brings Judges To Tears With Emotional Song For His Wife

Singer MacKenzie channels Prince for an emotional audition on America’s Got Talent. 31-year-old MacKenzie has been singing since he was a young boy on the farm. He would go out into the fields and perform for the cows. Now, he’s taking his dreams all the way to the big stage of America’s Got Talent. Before his performance, Mackenzie made sure everyone knew that his loving wife was the reason he is auditioning. “She believes in me when I don’t believe in myself. She’s the force that pushes me and I absolutely would not be where I’m at today with her in my life.” The couple just celebrated one year of marriage, so MacKenzie dedicated his performance of ‘Nothing Compares 2 U’ to his wife. “All the flowers that you planted mama In the back yard All died when you went away I know that living with you baby was sometimes hard But I'm willing to give it another try 'Cause nothing compares Nothing compares to you” This iconic song was written by Prince and made famous by Irish artist Sinead O’Connor in 1990. Now, MacKenzie is hoping that this power ballad will be his ticket to the next round. He belts out each word with ease and even brings one of the judges to tears. After the song, Gabrielle Union gave credit to MacKenzie’s wife and muse. “Denise, you gave him wings. As we celebrate you, MacKenzie, we celebrate Denise. This is all a bonus. I’m just rooting for you in life.” With talented vocals and a heartfelt story, MacKenize earned his way to the next round of competition.

Elderly Best Friends Perform Surprising Balancing Act Audition

Elderly best friends Edson and Leon perform a balancing act that surprised all the judges on America’s Got Talent. These two men met nearly fourteen years ago. These Brazilians both shared a mutual love of performing so they decided to combine their efforts and work together. Now, 84-year-old Leon and 54-year-old Edson are showing that age cannot hold you back from pursuing your dreams. This duo stepped onto the stage in business suits, so no one knew quite what their act would be. After a brief introduction, the men moved to the middle of the stage and the music started. Everyone looked a bit apprehensive until Leon and Edson removed their coats and started to perform a jaw-dropping balancing routine. Edson acts as the base as Leon is lifted up in the air with ease. Both of these men are considered elderly, but there is nothing in this routine that supports this claim. This is the perfect example of why age is just a number. Once the music stopped, the entire theater was on their feet in applause. Not only does an act like this time a considerable amount of time and practice, but it’s physically demanding as well. Simon Cowell had nothing but praise for the entertaining duo. “This was a surprise. It was exactly why we created this show, to find people like you. This was genuinely one of my favorite acts.” The pair easily earns four ‘yes’ votes from the judges and they will move on to the next round of competition. You go guys!

Bullied 11-Year-Old Earns Simon Cowell's Golden Buzzer With Violin Audition

11-year-old violinist Tyler Butler-Figueroa overcomes bullying to earn the golden buzzer on America’s Got Talent. Tyler started to play the violin at age 7 after nearly losing his life to cancer. He was just 4 years old when his mom, Kisua, noticed something was off with her son. “A mother’s instinct said ‘Let me get him to the emergency room.’” That’s when doctors gave her the devastating news that Tyler had leukemia. After being treated with chemotherapy, Tyler began to lose his hair. During this time, he struggled with bullies. “I was really sad and embarrassed at the same time to go to school. They used to make fun of me and laugh at me because I was different.” When Tyler noticed a flyer for free violin lessons, he begged his mother to let him attend. He immediately fell in love with the musical instrument and started to come out of his shell. “When I play the violin, it helps me forget about all the bad stuff. I just didn’t want to be the kid with cancer so now I’m the kid who plays the violin.” Now, this inspiring young man in competing on America’s Got Talent and sharing his story with the world. Tyler brought the judges to their feet with his unique instrumental rendition of ‘Stronger’ from Kelly Clarkson. The number even included some skilled dance moves with his light-up shoes. After the audition, Tyler was brought to tears out of pride and accomplishment. But it was judge Simon Cowell’s comments that send the whole place into a frenzy when he said, “I think you have such an amazing talent, such a personality. And I would like to say something on your behalf to the bullies…” That’s when Simon reached over and pressed the golden buzzer for this child violinist. Now, this teen will continue on in the competition and live out his dream on the big stage.

Couple Performs Acrobatic Ballet Routine That Brings Judges To Tears

In this stunning audition from World’s Got Talent, one couple performs an incredible acrobatic ballet routine that brings the judges to tears. At the beginning of the video, the dancers can be seen on an elaborately decorated stage, made to look like a beautiful lake underneath a humongous full moon. The dancers then run toward the giant moon and embrace under it. The scene is magical, right from the beginning. The song that the two are dancing to is “Never Enough,” sung by Loren Allred. The song was also used in the soundtrack of The Greatest Showman. This inspirational number was a great backdrop for the breathtaking talent that was performing on the stage. What was phenomenal about the act was not that the ballerina was incredibly graceful or had such beautiful movements, it was that she did a majority of her pointe work on top of her partner! Her performance included dancing in pointe shoes while doing stunning arabesques and turns on her partner’s shoulders, even on his head! Something that is very challenging on solid ground, and near impossible on a non-flat surface like another person’s body. “First of all, standing on your toes, as a ballerina, is hard enough. Standing on a person, is almost impossible,” one of the judges shared with the dancers after their performance. “You picked the perfect song; you picked the perfect stage. This is World’s Got Talent and you have the talent of the world on your shoulders. It was amazing.” All during the performance, the emotion that was displayed by the dancers could really be felt by the audience. They gave it their all and it showed! But the best emotion that was captured was the pure joy on their faces after one of the judges pressed the golden buzzer for them. What a beautiful celebration of such awe-inspiring talent!

Background Singer Carmen Carter Overcomes Body Shaming For AGT Audition

55-year-old Carmen Carter steps out into the spotlight for as unforgettable America’s Got Talent audition. For years, Carmen has been performing as a background singer. You’ve probably heard her voice, but no one has ever known her name. All that is about to change after Carmen sets foot on the America’s Got Talent stage. When Simon asks why she never achieved a solo career, Carmen shared her heartbreaking backstory. When she was younger, a composer wrote music for Carmen. A record company representative flew out to hear her sing but delivered some earth-shattering news. “He told the person that wrote the music for me, she’s wonderful but she’s too fat.” After that body-shaming incident, Carmen moved to the background and remained there. Now, she’s ready to pursue her dreams and take that chance at being a lead singer. Just listen as she belts out the lyrics to ‘Never Tear Us Apart’ from INXS. This soulful rendition struck a chord with the judges and the crowd was on their feet in applause. Judge Simon Cowell was so impressed with the talented singer. "There has never been a person who has ever bought a record they loved based on how old or how big the artist is. You didn’t come out here as a victim. You came out here to prove a point, and 4,000 people gave you a standing ovation. I think you have an amazing voice.” I think it’s safe to say that no one will be forgetting Carmen’s name any time soon.

Hospital Honors Late Nurse Being Wheeled To Donate Organs

It was a heart wrenching moment captured on camera when one hospital honors a late nurse in a very special way. 58-year-old Mary Desin worked as a nurse at UPMC Hamot Hospital in Erie, Pennsylvania. Mary worked at the hospital for over 30 years and was well loved by all her co-workers. Sadly, she passed away suddenly from a brain aneurysm. Mary was registered as an organ donor. Once her fellow co-workers learned that she would be wheeled to the operating room to retrieve her organs, they decided to do something special. Over 100 members of the hospital staff lined the hallway leading towards the operating room to honor this incredible woman. Just watch as she is moved down the hall as these co-workers pay their respects. They all somberly bow their heads and pray as attendants wheel the bed through. It was a moment that struck a chord with the whole world. Once the video was posted online, it quickly went viral and millions saw the selfless gift Mary gave through organ donation. Her son told Good Morning America, “She would want everybody to try to help anybody they possibly can.” What an inspiring woman and this honor walk will be a moment that is remembered by the family for a lifetime. Luke 6:38 “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”

God Leads Walmart Cashier To Pay For Family's Groceries

On a regular trip to the grocery store, one family got half of their groceries paid for after God led a Walmart cashier to cover some of their total. “She swiped her card and I happened to look, and she took $100 off my total,” explains Ashley Jordan after Sharnique Dasant came around the cashier counter and used her own credit card to help pay for Ashley’s groceries. It was something that Ashely never would have expected to happen to her. Most people wouldn’t use $100 of their own money to help out a family that they have never met, but Sharnique says that is was the voice of God that led her to swipe her card. Ashley was shocked by the kind gesture and immediately tried to pay her back. “I tried handing her the money,” explains Ashley. “And she was like no, ‘Let me give you $100, I just have to give you $100.’” The mother of three was so grateful for Sharnique’s act of kindness and said that her gesture took some pressure off her shoulders. She hopes to be able to help out a stranger, just like Sharnique did, one day in the future. “I plan to pay it forward in the future, any way that I possibly can to help somebody,” says Ashley. “Because the feeling that I felt when she did that was overwhelming.” Because of Sharnique’s obedience, she was able to feel closer to God and learn how to discern how the Holy Spirit is leading her in her actions. And because of Sharnique’s act of kindness, Ashley was able to have an increased sense of God’s faithfulness. What a beautiful reminder for us to listen to when God is speaking to us, and to always have our eyes open to when we can be a blessing to those around us.

'Bigger Than Us' Josh Groban Live Performance

The talented Josh Groban gives an incredible live performance of his new song ‘Bigger Than Us’ at Madison Square Garden in New York City. When he enters the stage at the beginning of the song, you can hear the loud cheers from his adoring fans. What an incredible opportunity it would be to see him perform live! As soon as Josh Groban starts singing ‘Bigger Than Us’, you are immediately capitated by his extraordinary voice. He is such a great performer with such strong vocals. And the lyrics of this song have such power, too. “I feel so small With my hands up to the sky I am reaching out tonight 'Cause this is bigger than us I give my all But it's just too much to hope No I can't do this alone 'Cause this is bigger than us Bigger than us” The high energy in this video at Madison Square Garden is infectious. The full orchestra that fills up the stage definitely helps create such a great atmosphere for the show. Behind Josh, you can see a full string ensemble, drums, piano, electric guitar, and many other musicians that add to the fullness of the song. God really blessed Groban with an amazing voice, and it’s no wonder why audiences around the world love to hear him sing. I also cannot help but to see this song through a spiritual lens when I hear the lyrics. Josh sings about facing battles in this song and reaching up to the sky, reaching to something bigger than us. We know that we can have hope during difficult times, because God is always with us. We don’t have to walk through the valleys of life alone. He is our stronghold; He is out firm foundation. And what a blessing that is!
