Powerhouse Vocalist Bailey Rae Sings 'Sweet Music Man' From Kenny Rogers

Ah, the Voice. We love the show for the incredible new artists. We also love the show for various performances of our favorite songs. One such artist did not disappoint. Powerhouse vocalist Bailey Rae sings 'Sweet Music Man' from Kenny Rogers and it is incredible! Bailey Rae grew up in Oklahoma accustomed to the rodeo lifestyle and always had a love for anything country but her true passion has always been music. She started singing in church and by the time she was thirteen, she was traveling the country and performing in opries. Through her blessed talent, she became the 2020 Ambassador for the Texas Country Music Hall of Fame which is no small feat. Now that she made it onto The Voice, she is the first country singer to ever join John Legend's team. Blake Shelton hoped to steal her. When she auditioned, she delighted the judges with her version of singing Lee Ann Womack’s “Does My Ring Burn Your Finger,” caught the ear of coach John Legend. Since then, Bailey has been working hard to make it to where she is today on the show. Earlier this year, she released her first two singles, “Never Been This Lonely,” and “I’m in Love.” But the gifted young lady stole the show when she won the wildcard instant save after competing against Team Kelly’s Tanner Gomes, Team Gwen’s Payge Turner and Team Blake’s Worth the Wait. Dressed in a white cowboy hat and fringe pantsuit, her voice crooned old country song lyrics but managed to make the song sound brand new. Her performance was lonely, lovely, sweet, and filled with passion. She had the audience’s approval with her performance as she gave a nod to Kenny Rogers who passed away earlier this year. Losing a loved one is never easy. Losing a legend can be even more difficult. May Kenny rest in peace and may God bring him comfort and may God continue to find favor with Bailey Rae’s musical talents! "See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him." 1 John 3:1

God Finished The Work

Biblical Devotional Poem

In The Garden by Carl

I come to the garden alone
While the dew is still on the roses
And the voice I hear, falling on my ear
The Son of God discloses
And he walks with me
And he talks with me
And he tells me I am His own
And the joy we share as we tarry there
None other has ever known
He speaks and the sound of His voice
Is so sweet the birds hush their singing
And the melody that He gave to me
Within my heart is ringing
And he walks with me
And he talks with me
And he tells me I am His own
And the joy we share as we tarry there
None other has ever known
I'll stay in the garden with Him
Though the night around me be falling
And He bids me go, through the voice of woe
His voice to me is calling
And He walks with me
And He talks with me
And He tells me I am His own
And the joy we share as we tarry there
None other has ever known

11-Year-Old Sings Live Rendition Of 'Hallelujah'

11-year-old Blake Walker stuns with this acoustic rendition of Leonard Cohen’s ‘Hallelujah.’ The powerful song was originally released in 1984, but it wasn’t until Jeff Buckley released the song on his 1994 album, ‘Grace’ that the song really started to gain momentum. Since that time, it’s become a worldwide phenomenon and truly cemented itself in music history. Over the years, many artists have covered the tune, which sounds like a perfect blend of a rock ballad and a gospel song. “Well I've heard there was a secret chord That David played and it pleased the Lord But you don't really care for music, do you?” Today, young Blake Walker is putting his own spin on this modern day classic. You may recognize Blake from the viral Rise Up Children’s Choir and Junior Choir. Over the years, this talented choir has performed countless covers of worship songs and contemporary hits. All of these performances have garnered millions of views online. Now, Blake is striking out on his own with a stunning acoustic rendition of ‘Hallelujah.’ “Well it goes like this The fourth, the fifth, the minor fall and the major lift The baffled king composing Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah” From the arrangement to the vocals, this Leonard Cohen cover is absolutely amazing. It’s wonderful to hear such a young talent share his gift with the world. There’s no doubt that Blake is a great vocalist and I hope that we continue to hear more from this teen in the future.

Hospice Workers Create Snow To Honor Patient's Wish

Check out this sweet video of hospice workers in the UK creating fake snow to honor one patient’s wish and bring a smile to her face! In the video, a hospice worker brings a patient named Helen outside in her bed to enjoy seeing some fake snow that they made fall all around her. And the patient lights up at the magical sight! How heartwarming! “Who saw our lovely clip of Helen enjoying her special wish for snow in the St Richard’s hospice gardens last week?” reads the caption of the video that was posted on Facebook. “We’ve been humbled by the reaction to the story, which has reached more than 100,000 people on our own social media and millions of others having been shared by news outlets across the world! It also saw supporters sharing some really moving stories about their experiences of our care; thank you to everyone who took the time to do so.” The caption continues: “It is always our privilege to help make time spent at St Richard’s as personal and special to our patients and their loved ones as possible and, of course, none of that is possible without our incredible supporters. You see, while we deliver the Christmas magic, it’s you who makes it possible with your generous gifts and donations. Something which makes up more than three quarters of our funding. So, thank you - from us all.” After seeing the video online, many people went on to share how the staff at St Richard served their loved ones so well while they were in their hospice care. “During my wife’s Lesleys last 4 months of life, you gave her so much love. You were so kind to her. There will always be a place in my heart for you,” reads one Facebook comment. “Wonderful, you did a similar thing for my mum who wanted to feel the sun on her face one more time,” writes another person online. What a wonderful act of kindness from these hospice workers who go above and beyond to bring joy to their patients!

Contestant Stuns With Finale Rendition Of 'Hallelujah' On The X Factor UK

During the 2008 Christmas finale of the 5th season of the X Factor UK, finalist contestant, Alexandra Burke, stunned audience members and judges alike with this powerful performance of Leonard Cohen’s ‘Hallelujah.’ Originally written for his 1984 album ‘Various Positions’, Cohen’s ‘Hallelujah’ found little success initially, but grew rapidly in popularity after being used in movies and TV shows in the early 2000s. After rising in popularity in the early 2000s, hundreds of covers were released for ‘Hallelujah’ from various artists in many different languages. One such performance was by X Factor UK winner, Alexandra Burke. The stage was set with a large tree covered in lights including a large Bethlehem star resting at the top. The mist rolled onto the stage and surrounded the singer as the familiar chords began to be played on the piano. Alexandra looks angelic herself in a long shimmery golden gown, her hair cascading over her shoulders in long mermaid waves. Her voice is strong and deep, and there is such presence in her performance as she begins to sing. Now I've heard there was a secret chord That David played, and it pleased the Lord And things definitely went ‘next level’ as a chorus of people dressed in all-white took the stage silently behind Alexandra. Around 2 minutes into the performance, their voices joined the singer, and it is truly powerful. Alexandra released the condensed cover of the song during this episode of the X Factor, reaching the number one spot on the UK singles list just four days later. The single held the number one spot for three weeks, sold over one million copies, and eventually led to Alexa being signed to a recording contract! “Then I heard what seemed to be the voice of a great multitude, like the roar of many waters and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, crying out, “Hallelujah! For the Lord our God the Almighty reigns.” Revelations 19:6

Nativity ...a fierceness

As an artist, it's important for us to express what we feel and what our vision is. This is interpretation of the nativity and of the Angel's power that guided them. If we knew what the angel or the wisdom the wisemen heard ..this would be my interpretation..in essence of me within my own art, at this point in my life I would be the electric power the people saw and heard when they went to go find the baby...the fierceness of this story...and the baby, Christ, can be considered by the fierceness and to the knowledge of Christ being born in reference to the season the child within peoples hearts being born. Creation itself coming to life and the power to radiate and within reach for human minds to interpret.....the Nativity.

The fierceness of the Nativity

As an artist, it's important for us to express what we feel and what our vision is. This is interpretation of the nativity and of the Angel's power that guided them. If we knew what the angel or the wisdom the wisemen heard ..this would be my interpretation..the offset of rhythmic dynamics to show individuality alongside with stills of love and creation and of the muse. In essence of me within my own art, at this point in my life I would be the electric power the people saw and heard when they went to go find the baby...the fierceness of this story...and the baby, Christ, can be considered by the fierceness and to the knowledge of Christ being born in reference to the season the child within peoples hearts being born.
