Since we were born, we all have a desire to have fruit in our lives. We try so many different ways of producing the fruit, but we end up coming short of it. So how do we do it?

Though we may not want bad news, we act like we expect it. But if we want our desires and our expectations to be the same, it’s just not enough for us to understand and accept what Jesus did for us in eternity. We must understand and accept what Jesus did for us in this life here on this earth.
What does God have to do with health and healing? As Christians, don’t we answer one way, but usually act another? Hasn’t something gone seriously haywire, whenever we trust the medical community first—before trusting God?
We all want to have a double portion in our lives, but we are not sure how to receive and walk in it. What if it was about just having an intimate relationship with God?

Continually trying to please God by my good works is like trying to ride a bicycle by not falling off. I can't get anywhere—trying to ride a bicycle by not falling off. I will have my head down constantly, and will be on the ground more than I’m on the seat—hoping God doesn't notice. But to live like God's child, instead of living like an orphan in constant fear of rejection, is to focus on where I’m going. If I fall off once in a while it's just no big deal, because I’m totally focused on where I’m going. And when I do fall off, God is right there to patch me up, give me a kiss on the cheek, dust me off, and tell me: “Now you get back up on that bike and ride! Ride!”
Even those of us with a healthy childhood have had enough exposure to negligent adults in other areas of our lives that we've kind of soured on the sanctity of family. But God is a different kind of father, and His kingdom is a different kind of family than anything we’ve ever experienced in this world. And we have an open invitation to live as His children—in this life, here on this earth.
When we don't feel good we don't feel like doing anything for anyone else. Disease and sickness become words on a big red sign that stops us in our tracks. And what better way is there for the devil to put a stop to God's work than to put a stop to God's people.
