Being a mom is the toughest job in the world. And all of us have a tendency to beat ourselves up about the littlest things from time to time. So this mom came up with a way to remind us to be kind to ourselves. Mom blogger Kristina Kuzmic is known for sharing messages that are so honest sometimes it feels like she is talking specifically to you. And when she was talking to some of her fellow female friends recently she realized how hard we are on ourselves.
The things we say to ourselves are insults we would never say to our friends. We’d never even consider being that hateful to the people we love, and yet we are frequently that hateful to ourselves. This broke Kristina’s heart and she knew she needed to do something about it. So she asked her girlfriends to come over for a conversation. Whether it was about their appearance, or being a bad mom, or even not keeping the house clean these women were so bravely honest.
Then Kristina handed them a photo of themselves as a little girl and asked the women to tell that little girl all those hateful things. Of course, none of them could bring themselves to insult those sweet little faces. I never would have thought about it like this, but when you see it pointed out it is truly eye-opening. We all need to learn to be kind to ourselves and love ourselves the way we love others!
The East Sussex Wildlife Rescue and Ambulance Service jumped into action on Christmas Day when they found a deer with it's antlers caught in a wire fence. The poor animal was struggling to free himself, but couldn't get out of the wire. There was even a small herd of female deer by his side, concerned for their male friend.
Thankfully, these rescuers arrived just in the nick of time and, together, they helped subdue the deer. Then, they removed the wire caught around his antlers. At first, the deer was apprehensive about his rescuers, but once he realized they were only there to help, he started to calm down.
Finally, the wire was all gone and they released the deer back into the wild to be with his family. I'm so glad that this kind group of people arrived when they did and they did not hesitate to do what was needed. I'm so glad there are people like this in the world and that they were able to help this deer be free again. God bless these rescuers.
There is nothing like seeing the joy on a child’s face when they find out they are going to get a sibling. So, when this mom found out she was expecting baby number two she knew her daughter would be thrilled. The sweet little girl loves babies and having a little brother or sister of her very own would mean the world to her.
This cutie also happens to be deaf so this adorable exchange is all in sign language. Just watch as this momma sits down and narrates her exchange. I love when she pulls out the ultrasound photos of newest addition to the family and asks ‘What is that?’ Immediately this big-sister-to-be knows that that is a photo of a baby. But then she gets a little confused as to who is having the baby.
At first, she thinks the baby is for her, then she thinks grandma is pregnant and then she realizes that her mom is actually the one expecting. Her joy is already shining through when she realizes that the baby in in her mom’s belly, right now.
As soon as she puts the pieces together she is overcome with happiness. She leaps toward her mother with a big hug for her baby brother or sister and it's the absolute sweetest! This is such a special moment and this sweet baby is already so loved. She is going to be an amazing big sister!
When this bride and groom decided to tie the knot, they knew they wanted to make their wedding extra special. This two were both lead dancers and traveled the world with the original Riverdance production. When they thought about their wedding reception, they knew a lot of fellow dancers would be in attendance so they came up with a brilliant plan.
Just watch as the groom leaps onto the floor and starts to get the crowd going. You can see other dancers surrounding the floor and soon, the bride and others join in on the fun. I always love watching Riverdance. It takes so much talent and skill to pull off those incredible dance moves and it never ceases to amaze me.
I can hear the excitement from the audience and I know this is a special performance that they won't forget. What an amazing surprise. I'm so glad they caught everything on camera and they can watch this again and again.
Members of Grand Lake United Methodist Church in Celina, Ohio were so moved by their Christmas Eve sermon that they did something incredible.
Just watch this amazing video that showcases pieces from the pastor's touching speech. After the sermon about generosity, the congregation decided to bring his words to life. Together, they took up an offering and then several dozen churchgoers drove to the local Waffle House. There were five women working at the Wapakoneta restaurant and you can tell that there were overcome with emotion at the scene. And when they finally realize that they will be splitting $3500 in tip money, they are overjoyed. These waitresses weren't able to be with their family on Christmas Eve, so this gift meant so much to them. And it speaks volumes about this church and the congregation. What an amazing way to bring the kindness of Jesus to life and spread His powerful message.
I'm sure this is a moment these women will never forget. I'm so glad they caught it all on camera!
Jameel McGee’s life didn’t get off to the best start. He grew up in an abusive home, but he was determined not to let that pattern continue with him.
So when Jameel had a baby boy, he vowed to do better, but one night when everything changed. Jameel was buying milk for his baby boy when the next thing he knew he was being arrested for drug possession by police officer Andrew Collins. Jameel knew he was innocent but it was his word against Andrew’s and, ultimately, he was sentenced to 10 years in prison for a crime he did not commit. Jameel vowed to get revenge on the officer who put him in there. What he didn’t know was how Andrew’s story would change his life. Andrew also came from an abusive home and one day an officer came to his house and brought peace, and from that day Andrew vowed to do the same. But Andrew’s best intentions slowly fell away as greed took over. Andrew had become a crooked cop, the kind he never hoped to be. He finally got caught and found himself totally broken and facing jail time of his own. Andrew’s wife convinced him to talk to a pastor and everything started to change. He truly started to understand the mercy and grace of the Lord.
While Jameel was in prison he found his own heart softened as he grew closer to the Lord and he decided to forgive Andrew. But what neither of these men knew was how the Lord would cross their paths time and time again to show the world what true forgiveness looks like. You cannot miss their story!

Motivational speaker Clayton Jennings shares a valuable lesson about the grace of God and how there is a purpose to every season of our lives.
Just listen as he shares a story where a mom complained about where she and her family lived. They lived on a lake in Michigan with their little three-year-old boy and when winter came, the wife expressed how much she hated the cold. She was so miserable but her husband told her that he believed that God had them there for a reason. And that's exactly what happened one night when she was cooking dinner with her son in the kitchen. At first, her son was running and playing near her but when she turned she noticed that he was not in the kitchen with her anymore. She thought he was playing a game of hide-and-seek, so she went to go look for him around the house. But then she looked out the back window and saw that the little boy somehow got outside! She was so frightened because he was standing right in the middle of the lake and she knew he could not swim at all. But because of the condition of the weather, the lake was frozen solid. When the two of them got back inside, she cried to God and thanked Him for the weather that she had been complaining about this whole time. If it had not been so cold, the outcome would have been very different.
This is such an important reminder for us that God assigns a purpose to every season of our lives. So instead of complaining when something does not appear to go the way you imagined, start thanking God for where He has you.
The talented men of The Virginia Gentlemen never fail to impress with their incredible vocal skills. This a cappella group is always looking for new ways to showcase their talent and bring smiles to the crowd. And that's exactly what they did with their latest performance.
Just watch as this men's choir performs the classic song 'Some Kind Of Wonderful.' As soon as the crowd realized what song what about to be performed, they started to cheer so loud. Note after note, I was in awe of how they effortlessly combine their vocals to create the most amazing sound. I know a cappella performances are a lot of hard work but it definitely shows in this number. From start to finish, I was cheering along with the crowd.
I always look forward to The Virginia Gentlemen and their perfect song choices. And this is truly a rendition that you have to hear to believe.

Anyone who has fought this heartbreaking disease will tell you certain parts of losing your memory hurt way more than others. For Steve, the part that hurts the most is losing the music.
Steve is a software developer who loves to play the piano. For most of their marriage Steve wrote beautiful masterpieces for Joanie songs. Those songs are a piece of who Steve is and sadly they are a piece that Alzheimer’s is trying to take away. So when Steve sat down and tried to play some of the songs by memory and the songs stopped coming, this couple knew they needed to do something. Steve had never bothered to write the songs down, since no one prepares for Alzheimer’s to come knocking. That’s when their friend Naomi, a talented pianist, stepped in to help. For the past 2 years, Naomi has worked to piece together and save Steve’s songs.
The songs are now recorded so that they will never truly be lost. And when you hear the new song that Steve was able to write with Naomi's help, you’ll be reaching for the tissues. It is no wonder that the world is becoming captivated by Steve and Joanie’s story.

This poor deer was trapped and helpless when her head became stuck in a pipe. That's when a couple in the woods of Quebec, Canada stumbled upon her and knew they needed to help.
The man tried with all of his strength to pull the pipe off of the deer's head, but it would not come off. His wife continued to encourage him, but it seemed like they might not be able to save her. Together, they knew they couldn't leave this poor animal, so the man decided to comfort her and let her calm down a bit. Then, he started to pull on the pipe again and didn't stop until the deer was finally free. After this terrifying ordeal, she needed a few seconds to gather herself together before she ran off into the woods.
I'm so glad this couple was there to help this sweet animal in her time of need. There's no telling what might've happened if no one was around. God bless this man and woman!
21-year-old Pavin Smith is an up and coming baseball player. Recently, he was chosen as the seventh overall pick in this year's amateur baseball draft. Pavin signed with the Arizona Diamondbacks and they gave him a $5 million sign on bonus. A lot of young people would've spent this kind of money on material possesions, but Pavin knew exactly what he wanted to do with a portion of it.
Just watch as his parents open a letter from Pavin and begin to read it out loud. This heartfelt note tells his parents how much he appreciates their love and support over all the years and that he wouldn't be where he is today without all of their hard work.
Finally, Pavin writes in the letter that he has paid of his parent's mortgage and when they read this part, the tears are almost instant. What an amazing gift from this sweet son. I know his parents must be so proud!

There's no doubt that Chris Rupp is an incredible musician and vocalist. His cover songs are always a delight and his amazing voice never ceases to amaze me.
Today, Chris is singing 'What Are You Doing New Year's Eve' and you've got to hear it. Chris decided to give this festive tune a jazzy makeover. This unique arrangement gives a new feel to this old song. I always love when Chris covers a song and this incredible rendition one is no different. Somehow, he always manages to bring new life to the classics and his amazing vocals are the perfect fit for this one.
This dose of nostalgia is just what I needed for the end of the year. What a great way to put a spin on this song and now I'm going to listen to it again. Who else is with me?
