Woman Falls Face First Into Hot Grill But Survives

When we think about summer time, images of days at the beach or pool followed by dinner cooked on the grill comes to mind. Even though these can produce some of the greatest memories, there are some hidden dangers when it comes to heat and grilling out. 44-year-old Regina Benford knows this all too well after a simple move almost cost her everything. Recently, Regina and her husband, Sheldon, were moving their grill from a fire pit that had become too hot when she tripped. Regina’s face fell right onto the grill, but Sheldon quickly pushed her off the grate. Even though it was only seconds, Regina was left burned and with scars. Her eyes were swollen, but thankfully, Regina was wearing glasses, which probably saved her vision. But the strong woman is crediting her husband with saving her eyes and ensuring that her face was not too badly injured. Sheldon is a volunteer firefighter, so he knew just what to do in this situation. He quickly put a wet washcloth on her face to help with the healing. "He pushed me off the grate and saved my face and he saved my eye and by keeping it cool and moist. They say it's the best thing he could have done. He was always my hero but now he is really my hero." Now, Regina is sharing her story with others and just what worked in their situation. Hopefully, these tips may help someone else during their time of need.

'Great Things' - Phil Wickham Acoustic Performance

‘Oh, hero of Heaven, You conquered the grave You free every captive and break every chain Oh God, You have done great things We dance in Your freedom, awake and alive Oh Jesus, our Savior, Your name lifted high Oh God, You have done great things’ We can all agree that God made the ultimate sacrifice for us when He sent His only Son down from Heaven to die for our sins. Because of that amazing sacrifice, we are all saved and free to live out our days in Heaven above. God broke our chains and truly set us free. This was such a priceless gift and we are all blessed each and every day for the love from our Father. You are sure to be reminded of this as you listen to the powerful lyrics of ‘Great Things’ from Phil Wickham. And today, we get to hear a special acoustic rendition of this song, including the story behind how it was written. These words will truly touch your heart and remind you that with the Lord by our side, nothing is impossible. He is our light and our strength when times get dark. He will be the compass that is always there to guide us home. I just love that we get to serve such an amazing Father in Heaven and this song is the perfect way to give praise to His name. This song definitely had me raising my hands in the air and saying ‘amen!’ What about you?

Barbershop Group Performs Beatles Medley

I always love a good a cappella performance. There is just something so amazing about hearing a group of singers come together and use just their voices to create the most incredible sound. And that is exactly what’s happening today with the talented gentlemen from Northwest Sound. Today, this group is performing live Harmony University 2018 in Nashville, Tennessee. I feel like barbershop groups always find a way to choose the perfect songs to showcase their incredible skills and when they blend their voices together, it’s out of this world. Today, these men are taking on a tough challenge as they perform a medley of classic songs from The Beatles. The Beatles are an iconic band and their songs have truly stood the test of time. We all grew up with these songs, but hearing them get the a cappella barbershop treatment is a whole new experience. I’m definitely getting a dose of nostalgia right now. I know it must’ve taken a lot of time and practice to perfect this arrangement but Northwest Sound managed to pull it off seamlessly. These men truly have a talent for performing and they’re definitely using that gift today. What a refreshing sound and a much-needed trip back in time. I'm so glad that this group is sharing their talents on a big stage for the entire world to hear. This Beatles’ medley is bound to have you singing along with every familiar word. Who else is going to listen to this one again?

Boy And Bear Have Jumping Contest At The Zoo

There is truly nothing like watching a child interact with one of God’s creatures. Big or small, all of His creations never cease to amaze me. God truly put so much thought into each and every animal that they are a wonder to behold. And watching them come together with another of God’s greatest creations, a child, is so beautiful. And that’s exactly what happened when 5-year-old Ian went on a recent visit to the Nashville Zoo. When we got to the bear exhibit, he met Luka, a 5-year-old Andean bear. Luka was swimming around the water, but when she spotted Ian, she was immediately interested in the little boy. Just watch as Luka presses herself against the glass in order to see little Ian. That’s when Ian decides to jump up and down and the most incredible thing happens. Luka follows Ian’s moves and starts to jump too. I love watching them engage in the cutest competition and it’s all caught on camera. You never know how animals are going to act, especially at the zoo. But it’s so incredible to see this beautiful creature enjoying her home and having some fun with the visitors that stop by. I’m so glad Ian’s dad was recording every moment because I have a feeling they’ll be looking back on this footage for a long time. Have you ever encountered anything like this when you’ve visited the zoo? I sure would’ve loved to see this whole silly situation in person. How about you?

Tables Turn On Hidden Camera Show With Man's Reaction

The TV show ‘What Would You Do?’ is a hidden camera show hosted by John Quiñones. In the program, strangers are put in difficult circumstances and cameras watch how they respond. The reactions can range from person to person but it's always interesting to watch and see what they say afterwards. The dilemmas are always relevant to the current times and sometimes, they have actually happened in real life. This particular clip is a pretty common situation nowadays. A woman in her 40s is ready to have a baby, but her friend and husband are not happy about it. In fact, they have some pretty disapproving words for this woman. She decides to announce her news at a restaurant and other patrons are taking notice of her loved one’s reactions. The woman and her loved ones are all actors placed in the restaurant by the ‘What Would You Do?’ crew. It starts off with the normal reactions from customers, but it’s the very last gentleman that caught everyone off guard. As the fake husband expresses his displeasure with his wife’s decision, you can see the patron beside them on his phone relaying what it happening to someone on the other line. Then, when the woman is left alone, he decides to sit beside her and share his inspiring story. This was definitely an outcome that no one saw coming, including the producers and television crew. This is why I love this show and how it truly captures the real emotions of strangers. God definitely had a hand in this.

Tiny Porcupine Manages To Fend Off Leopard

I think we can all agree that leopards are one of the king’s of the jungle. These predators are known for their speed and hunting skills in the wild. We’ve probably all seen a video or clip on one of those nature shows about a leopard stalking their prey and finally going in for the attack. But this particular hunt didn’t go quite like the leopard had planned. Ard van de Wetering was travelling through Kruger National Park with his wife when he spotted a leopard trying to prey on a prickly porcupine. When you first see a porcupine, you probably don’t think of a fierce animal. But this little guy definitely held his own when approached by the leopard. Every single time the leopard tries to move in for the attack, the porcupine turns to use his quills as defense. The quills may look soft, but they are actually the porcupine’s greatest defense. And it’s obvious that this tactic is working because the leopard cannot manage to take down his prey. Ard said that this scene went on for over 30 minutes before the leopard realized he wasn’t going to defeat this prey and moved on. God’s creatures are truly amazing and it’s so incredible to watch them interact in their natural habit. This scene is the perfect example of never judging a book by its cover. The porcupine seemed like easy prey for the leopard, but God’s clever design allowed the prey to escape. Who else was so fascinated by this entire scene?

Dad Uses Son's Toy Piano To Cover Classic 80's Ballad

Chase Holfelder is a popular online performer and personality. He’s best known for his covers of popular songs where he changes the key from minor to major. This slight change can completely transform a song and give it a whole new feeling. Today, Chase is going in a whole different direction with his 80’s cover and it’s just as incredible. Just watch as this talented musician sits down at his son’s toy piano and starts to play. The entire video is set in the little boy’s nursery and it’s completely adorable. Then, Chase starts to belt out the lyrics to ‘Alone’ from Heart. This song was made famous in the 1980’s and it’s still a popular song to perform today. And for Chase to be able to perform a stunning rendition of this tune on a kid’s piano absolutely amazes me. This just goes to show how much talent he truly has if he can pull off an incredible cover tune on this simple toy. Chase is obviously a very gifted musician and he has the ability to adapt to different genres and styles. I don’t know how he came up with the idea to use his little boy’s piano for a song, but I sure am glad that he did. I never would’ve imagined the song would turn out this good but Chase pulled it off perfectly. Who else is in awe of this cover song? I really hope we get to hear more songs like this from the toy piano.

Pizza Delivery Driver Plays Customer's Piano

When we order a pizza, we don’t really give much thought to who makes it or delivers it. Sometimes, it can become so routine that we’ve forgotten the delivery driver just minutes after they’ve left. Well I think it’s safe to say that this family will never forget their 18-year-old pizza delivery driver Bryce Dudal. Bryce works at the local Hungry Howie’s pizza place in Sterling, Michigan. Recently, he was given the task to deliver a pizza to the home of Paul and Julie Varchetti. When he handed over the food, Bryce couldn’t help but notice the piano in their home. "I noticed the piano right here and said, ‘'Oh wow, that's a really nice piano,' and he was like, ‘You play?' and I said, 'Yeah, I play. I’ve been playing for about 11 or 12 years now.' That’s when something incredible happened and Paul invited Bryce into the house to check out the piano. Then, Bryce sat right down and started to play a stunning rendition of Beethoven’s "Moonlight Sonata." The homeowners couldn’t get over the talent in this young boy who was delivering their pizza. Paul whipped out his phone and started to take a video. He decided to post it online but he never imagined the response he would receive. It’s gone completely viral and now everyone is talking about the piano-playing pizza delivery driver. And when you see how he incredible he plays, you’ll be in awe just like everyone else. Pizza and a show, now that’s my kind of service!

Police Officer Lip Sync Shares Message On Domestic Violence

We've all seen the latest lip sync challenge all over the Internet or social media recently. Police departments from across the country are participating in this fun challenge where they record themselves singing to a popular song. The challenge is pretty simple, police officers will record themselves singing to a song of their choice and then they must post the video online. They can also challenge another department to do the same thing. These videos have been popping up all over the Internet and it seems like each one is getting better than the last. Most of these videos are fun and carefree, but some departments are taking this challenge a step further. That’s exactly what is going on with the Pickens County Georgia Sheriff's Office lip sync. The officers decided to use this opportunity to shed light on the issue of domestic abuse. The video starts out like all the others with the police department dancing and singing along to a fun song. But shortly after, the tone changes and a powerful message is sent. Sadly, domestic violence is something that our police officers have to deal with on a regular basis. But this department is hoping that their video will bring awareness to this terrifying issue. I’m so proud of the Pickens Country Georgia Sheriff’s Office for using this opportunity for a bigger purpose. No wonder everyone is talking about this lip sync challenge. It’s been viewed over 10 million times on social media and that number is growing. What did you think of this powerful message?

*Viral Video* Young man with Rare Disease Sings for Cancer Patients While Hospitalized

A hospital can seem like a sterile and sometimes gloomy place, but one patient is lifting the mood at Duke Hospital with his own music.

Music has taken the place of food for Dustin Chapman, 21, of Whiteville, North Carolina, because he hasn't been able to eat or drink normally for months.

Chapman has a rare disease called Achalasia, where the esophagus muscles basically quit functioning. To cope, Chapman is using his talent to encourage himself and countless others who listen. A video shared on Facebook of Chapman singing and playing the piano at Duke inspired more than 2,500 shares within a few days.

Three years ago, Chapman's condition required surgery on his esophagus. For 18 months, he could eat anything he wanted, but now Duke doctors are trying different things to enable him to be able to swallow food and liquids.

"In 2017, all my problems started coming back," said Chapman.

While he and his family wait for answers, Chapman found his best therapy was at one of the few pianos in the hospital.

Chapman's performance at the Duke Cancer Center last week got rave reviews.

"I had cancer patients coming up to me, and they were just crying, and they were like, 'That was probably therapeutic for you, but we needed that just as much as you did,'" said Chapman. "It was very rewarding."

Chapman is a music major student at Catawba College. He says he enjoys writing and performing his own gospel and country songs.

Sara Spicer - Jump

This video is a very uplifting and empowering music video that needs to be shared with so many people that just need an encouraging, supportive word!
----------------------------
It’s in her blood. Sara comes from a musical family who recognized her tone and pitch at just four years old when she started singing “Somewhere Over The Rainbow”. Not long thereafter, she joined her mom and dad on stage and eventually opened for Tanya Tucker. Seeking meaning and comfort following the passing of her mother, she turned to songwriting. Sara wrote her first song “Heaven’s Gate” in tribute to her mom, the woman who gave her vocal chops, an appreciation for Patsy Cline and a love of all things country.

Fast forward to 2016. Sara toured the US, became a seasoned live performer with an all-girl country group. She spent her spare time writing songs with her songwriting partner, Heidi Hamels, and recording with Nashville producer Zac Maloy (Carrie Underwood, Blake Shelton, Daughtry), getting the opportunity to perform at legendary Blue Bird Cafe. Sara adds: “Performing is my life. It’s not a job to me, it’s my passion and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.”

Jump. Not one to play it safe, Sara left her group, moved to Nashville and “jumped” into becoming a serious songwriter and recording artist, finding her style with her wide-ranging voice suited to her songs. Sara draws inspiration from a broad range of country and popular artists — from Patsy to Dolly to Celine & Christina. In her debut EP, “New Girl” (HH Entertainment, 2018) Sara shows a sweet, ethereal beauty in her ballad “Fireflies” to soaring highs and grit of her first single, “Jump”, and “Pray and Pray and Drink”. At the same time, she and her co-writers Maloy and Hamels are equally comfortable as simple storytellers in “New Girl”, the somewhat biographical title song. Sara is proud to include her version of the Lauren Alaina penned ballad “Leaving Me” to round out her debut EP. Sa
