The talented Ndlovu Youth Choir performs a unique rendition of ‘Africa’ from Toto on America’s Got Talent. We first met this inspiring choir during their audition for the fourteenth season of AGT. The choir was created in 2009 as a creative outlet for kids in South Africa. Led by artistic director Ralf Schmitt, this talented group has gained a following all over the world. On their Facebook, it states that “the choir seeks to deliver an experience of infectious joy, a toe-tapping and energetic South African music ranging from Afro-Pop classics to traditional South African music and original compositions irresistibly combined with mesmerizing choreography.” With their special style of sound and over-the-top performances, this choir provides hope and inspiration to the members and listeners. Their first performance easily impressed the judges with their energetic presentation of an original song, ‘My African Dream.’ The blend of vocal talent with dance truly makes this an audition to remember. Week after week, this incredible group has entertained the world with their unique numbers. Now, they’ve made it all the way to the finals and they are not holding anything back. Just listen as they belt out the words to the classic song ‘Africa’ from Toto. In perfect unison, these members sway across the stage in their brightly colored outfits and one-of-a-kind sound. Her second performance was an enchanting rendition of ‘Caruso’ that led guest judge Jay Leno to press his golden buzzer. After two more performances, including an unlikely opera rendition of “(Everything I Do) I Do It for You” from Bryan Adams, Emanne cemented her place in the finals. Now, she’s taking the stage for the last time in this competition and she’s not holding anything back. Just listen as she beautiful belts out the words to ‘La mamma morta’ from Act 3 of Umberto Giordano’s opera, Andrea Chénier. This 1896 opera classic in the play by the character Maddalena di Coigny to Gérard. The emotional song tells the story of how Maddalena’s mother died while protecting her during the French Revolution. This tune has so much history and depth, but Emanne portrayed a full range of emotion using just her vocals. There’s no doubt that this young talent has a gift for singing. From the very beginning, Emanne has stood out among the pack. She will certainly be a name we see for years to come.

Week after week, we’ve been touched by Kodi’s ability to overcome and thrive. Now, he’s made it all the way to the finals and he isn’t holding anything back. ‘What Would You Do?’ is a popular hidden camera television show hosted by John Qui'ones. The show is notable for putting strangers in difficult situations and then recording their reactions. Each episode gives us a glimpse into the response of the public, which can be unpredictable from respond from episode to episode. Sometimes, there is anger while other times there may be a flood of tear. Many of the episodes are inspired by real life events or news stories. In today’s world, many kids are not familiar with the concept of paper money. As more people utilize plastic cards and electronic payments, the use of cash has drastically dropped. And, in some cases, children do not know the value of these ‘pieces of paper.’ This episode of What Would You Do starts with a child actor and a woman portraying her mother. They are sitting in a café when the mother excuses herself to visit the restroom. That’s when the young girl finds cash in her mom’s wallet and decides to rip it up and make confetti. Nearby patrons notice the shocking moment and their reactions are recorded. Some people try to physical stop the actress while others just look on in disbelief. It was truly an eye-opening moment that is all too real. This episode reminds us all to teach our children and grandchildren the importance of paper money. Longtime Jeopardy host Alex Trebek reveals that he is undergoing a second round of chemotherapy after health setback. In March of 2019, beloved television personality Alex Trebek announced to the world that he had been diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer. But he pledged to continue hosting Jeopardy and mustering up all of his strength to defeat the grim diagnosis. The 79-year-old inspired viewers by opening up about the realities of cancer and the treatment he is undergoing. After finishing his first round of chemotherapy, Alex was making great progress and shifted to immunotherapy. Sadly, his numbers skyrocketed and doctors informed the host that he would need to undergo another round of chemo. But, just as he always has, Alex is taking every moment in stride and keeping an optimistic attitude. In fact, he hasn’t missed one single day of work since his diagnosis. “I talk to the audience sometimes and I get teary-eyed for no reason. I don’t even bother to explain it anymore, I just experience it. I know it's a part of who I am and I just keep going.” And when it comes to facing the future, Alex opened up saying, "I realize that there is an end in sight for me, just as there is for everyone else. One line that I have used with our staff in recent weeks and months is that when I do pass on, one thing they will not say at my funeral is, 'Oh, he was taken from us too soon.' Hey guys. I’m 79-years-old." This inspiring man is certainly in our thoughts and prayers during this time.

The former sandwich shop workers and cruise ship performers stunned the theater with their powerful rendition of ‘The Impossible Dream.’ After finishing in third place, the duo went on to release a number one album in the UK. Now, they are back on the stage that started in all as contestants on Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions. This special format features 45 competitors from all of the Got Talent franchises. For six weeks, these all-stars will battle it out to see who will be crowned the ultimate champion. The list of contenders includes past winners, finalists and fan-favorites. Just listen as Richard and Adam belt out the words to ‘The Power Of Love’ from Frankie Goes to Hollywood. “The power of love A force from above Cleaning my soul Flame on burnt desire Love with tongues of fire Purge the soul Make love your goal” These brothers gave this classic pop song an opera makeover and it’s truly unlike anything I’ve heard before. They have certainly come a long way since their initial audition and I have no doubt that they will continue to climb.

Faith in humanity was officially restored after one neighbor’s simple gesture for a boy with Down Syndrome went viral. Six-year-old Finn enjoys walks with his family. He especially loves to look at all the flags blowing in the win. His mom, Brooke, said, "If it's moving, if the wind is blowing, he would sit there for an hour and just watch the flag go back and forth, which is kind of the beauty of Finn, too." But one flag, in particular, always seemed to catch Finn’s eye. Neighbor Todd Disque has a beautiful American flag mounted on a tree. The flag hangs overtop of the very sidewalk that Finn uses for his family walks. He would always stop to look at the mesmerizing display. Sometimes, he would even sit down on the sidewalk and just stare. Todd noticed the interaction and decided that Finn needed a more suitable place to rest. That’s when he built a wooden stool just for the boy and placed it beside the tree. When Finn was on one of his neighborhood walks, the simple stool brought his mother to tears. "It's such a small gesture, but things like this really restore your faith in humanity. Like, there's still good people out there that want to do kind things for no other reason than just to be kind." It’s moments like these that truly remind us how something so small can make the biggest impact on others. Let us use this beautiful display to inspire us in our own acts of kindness.

One student choir made a captain’s last flight a moment to remember with a sweet impromptu serenade. Ronald Smith has been an airline pilot with United Airlines for 32 years. Today, he’s on a flight from Chicago to Brussels and it will be his very last as a pilot. Ronald is set to retire, but not before receiving one final send off that he never saw coming. When the student choir of the LGE (Lycée des Garçons d'Esch-sur-Alzette) heard about the pilot’s retirement, they decided to honor him in the best way they knew possible. After other passengers disembarked, the choir remained behind. When Ronald came out, they stood in a semi-circle and began to sing the words of ‘Viva La Vida’ from Coldplay. “I used to rule the world Seas would rise when I gave the word Now in the morning, I sleep alone Sweep the streets I used to own I used to roll the dice Feel the fear in my enemy's eyes Listen as the crowd would sing Now the old king is dead! Long live the king!” This contemporary tune was given a complete makeover as these teens perform an a cappella serenade. As the crew gathered around, it was truly a moment of honor for this pilot. Moments like this are far too fleeting and it was such a blessing to see these students take a pause from their day to show this act of kindness. We wish Captain Ronald all the best in his retirement.

Salsa dancers Paddy and Nicko return to the Britain’s Got Talent stage for a routine that left everyone is awe. We first met this unlikely duo when the competed on Britain’s Got Talent back in 2014. At the time, Paddy was 80 and she made quite the splash as an energetic salsa dancer with her younger partner, Nicko. The entertaining pair finished in ninth place and caught the attention of the world. We learned that after Paddy’s husband died, she decided to take up dancing lessons. That’s where she met her teacher, a now partner, Nicko. Today, Paddy is 85-years-old and she is currently the Guinness World Record holder for the 'Oldest Acrobatic Salsa Dancer.’ But age doesn’t mean a thing and Paddy and Nicko are out to prove that once again. They are back on the stage that started it all as contestants on Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions. This special format features 45 competitors from all of the Got Talent franchises. As soon as that first line hits, everyone always seems to jump in! The members of VoicePlay look like they are having such a fun time in this video while they are singing with the kids at Camp A Cappella, the first and largest a cappella camp in the world. And the campers are smiling from ear to ear and having such a great time singing as well. They are in their element! The song has such a full sound with all of the voices contributing, and you can feel the fun energy that is exuding from everyone in the video when you listen to the music. The harmonies are wonderful, and the different parts really add to the song. Singing can bring great joy to yourself and to those around you. All throughout scripture, singing and music are mentioned many times when talking about joy, and it’s a wonderful gift that God has given us. What a blessing it is to make music and listen to music that others have created!
