In this fun audition on The Voice, a senior contestant turns all four of the judges’ chairs with his rendition of a Frank Sinatra classic, ‘The Lady is a Tramp.’ “She gets too hungry for dinner at eight, she likes the theatre and never comes late She never bothers with people she'd hate, that's why the lady is a tramp Doesn't like crap games with barons or earls, won't go to Harlem in ermine and pearls Won't dish the dirt with the rest of the girls, that's why the lady is a tramp” As soon as the contestant opens his mouth and sings a few notes, three of the judges turn around immediately. The fourth and final judge turns around as well after hearing a bit more of the performance and hearing how the man croons those jazzy notes. He is a wonderful singer and has such great energy! What a fantastic voice and performance! Even after all these years, classics like this Frank Sinatra song will never go out of style. World-renowned tenor Andrea Bocelli joins together with Chinese pop star Na Ying for ‘Remembering.’ For decades, Andrea has been showcasing his incredible vocals with songs such as ‘The Prayer’ and ‘Time To Say Goodbye.’ After a 14-year hiatus from releasing an album, Andrea produced ‘Si’ in 2018. This international success proved that this Italian vocalist is still a powerhouse. Now, Andrea has shown no signs of slowing down with several high-profile collaborations and even a record-breaking classical live stream on YouTube. Today, he’s performing a very special duet with Na Ying, one of the most popular singers in China. And when you hear this unique performance, you will be absolutely amazed. Andrea and Na Ying duet to ‘Remembering’ which is the last track on the upcoming Chinese film, The Eight Hundred. The film follows the story of Chinese soldiers who fought against the Japanese Army in 1937. According to UDiscovermusic, “Global music icon Andrea Bocelli agreed to perform the song after listening to the demo and he smiled every time he sang the line in Chinese at the end of the song, ‘I can die with no regrets, because your smile always fills my heart.’” The beautiful words of ‘Remembering’ tell a story of wartime and a prayer for peace. Time and time again, Andrea impresses the world with his one-of-a-kind sound and meaningful messages throughout music.

Take a step back in time with this classic performance of ‘Good Old Days’ from this talented barbershop quartet. As you listen to these words, you will truly be transported to another place and time. “Rah rah rumble seats and running boards Them was the good old days Knee pants and dime a dance girls Oh Lord them was the good old days” The Sundowners were a popular barbershop quartet in the 1970s. Today’s classic performance comes from a taped recording in Atlantic City, New Jersey during the Barbershop Harmony Society's 1970 International Convention. The Sundowners are belting out the words to ‘Good Old Days’ and the words are even more fitting now than they were back then. “Them was the good old days With Model A's and radios boh dee odee oh doh Rah rah rumble seats and running boards Them was the good old days” It’s so incredible to hear all of their voices combine for such a talented performance. They seamlessly blend together into this beautiful melody and each a cappella note becomes better than the next. I know that it takes a lot of time and practice to perfect these types of arrangements, but The Sundowners pulled it off flawlessly. Years later, this performance still holds it own and is a welcome dose of nostalgia. As our world faces troubling times, it’s always nice to take a pause and appreciate the blessings that surround us. And thinking back on simpler times is definitely a comforting practice.
