Best Celine Dion Auditions From The Voice Kids

Here are some of the best Celine Dion auditions from The Voice Kids--and you won’t want to miss hearing them! Having that ‘a star is born moment’ is a dream for most aspiring singers. It’s shows like The Voice that are giving many passionate artists their big break. And for the singers on The Voice Kids who auditioned using the best of Celine Dion’s hits, she may need to step aside and share the stage! The video showcases the best auditions of kids singing her best songs and the reaction from the judges and the crowd is astounding. Celine’s songs are known in every language worldwide. She needs no introduction and neither does her songs like My Heart Will Go On or The Power of Love. In fact, who wouldn’t be a better example to model after? Celine began her career when she was a mere half-pint at the age of 12. She recorded a demo tape of a song she had written with her mother. By 18, Celine had recorded nine French-language albums and won numerous Felix and Juno awards, the Canadian equivalent of a Grammy Award. When the first few chords of her songs were played, the crowds roared with approval. But what shocked the crowds to their delight is when these mere pint-sized singers nailed the high octaves that Celine is known for. One child from France will make you bawl, so be sure to grab a tissue and get ready to praise Jesus for her beautiful voice. She is blind and has the talents of a young budding singer with a long musical career ahead of her despite her blindness. For any of these little singers, thank the good Lord their parents acknowledged their talent and helped them pursue their dreams to sing. It would be a shame not to share their gift with the world and better yet, to mix their talent with Celine’s classics. The result is just incredible. Don’t take my word for it, you be the judge and watch their auditions below, and don’t forget to share with your fellow Celine Dion loving friends. “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and purity.” 1 Timothy 4:12

Disney Christmas Ad Reminds Us Family Means More Than Ever This Year

This Disney Christmas ad reminds us family means more than ever this year. The year of 2020 began with excitement, which very quickly turned into angst for many people. That angst has lasted a long time. As the chaos of the year dies down, the year’s suffering is making way for something much more positive, hope. The folks at Disney UK are reveling in that idea. In their heartwarming video, we see how one gift transcends generations. In the beginning of the video, the year is 1940. A father returns home to his wife and young daughter seemingly after a long time away. Surprising for the little girl, Papa, as she calls him, has a gift for her. The gift is a stuffed Mickey Mouse. By all appearances the cute little girl is blown away by her gift as she holds Mickey close. The years go by and now the video takes us to the year 2005. That little girl has become an adult, a grandma in fact. And what does she do with the gift her father once gave her? She bestows it upon her granddaughter. The years go by for the two as they celebrate the holidays together. The stuffed Mickey Mouse ages along with them, and with time his condition worsens. Once the granddaughter becomes an adult, Grandma figures, why bother fixing Mickey Mouse? She leaves him on the table along with her other junk for the holidays. And she goes upstairs to bed. The granddaughter though thinks differently. After a night out, an idea hits her. Without words she puts her plans into action. She decorates their family room and fixes Mickey Mouse. When the grandmother wakes, she sees amazing Christmas decorations and a repaired Mickey mouse. What a nice gift to celebrate Christmas. The year 2020 draws to an end. Everyone has in some way been affected by the pandemic, politics, or some other form of unrest. Scripture reminds us that no matter where we endured this year, we can come out stronger. “And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation works patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope.” (Romans 5:3-4) The hope we experience as a result of our afflictions is not a hope centered on a particular outcome, but rather on our Lord to shape us into people more like Christ. Hard times have an ability to refine us unlike the seasons of life that go our way. Hard times also bring us closer to those who matter most to us, namely our family. Whether we gift them a stuffed Mickey Mouse, or spend quality time together, or something else entirely, we know that no year, not even a single day is guaranteed. May we all make the most of what God has blessed us with, including our relationships with family.

Amazon's 2020 Christmas Ad Reminds Us Of The Power Of Community

Amazon’s 2020 Christmas ad reminds us of the power of community. The video begins with a group of ballerinas and their instructor spending time together in the studio. This is pre-pandemic. “The star of the winter show is,” the instructor begins before crowning one of the ballerinas. This woman will become the star of the video. Following her accolade, we witness her practicing her ballet moves at home. She pirouettes for her family, and they of course cheer her on. With all the recent success, she had much to look forward to and unfortunately couldn’t have predicted what came next - school closures due to the coronavirus pandemic. School closure included dance school. Instead of meeting in the studio, the ballerinas met online to rehearse. She kept honing her skills with her classmates and even on her own. She practiced in her room, on her apartment building’s roof, outside. Despite all of her efforts, an unfortunate letter came in the mail. Her upcoming performance, the one in which she was going to star. . . was canceled. But as the title of the ad says, “The show must go on.” The ballerina's little sister makes this possible. She creates advertisements for a show so that her big sis still gets a chance to dance in front of an audience. The little girl passes out flyers to other people in the complex, including a boy the ballerina has taken interest in. The night of the show comes. The ballerina dances with finesse and strong technique as she graces the apartment complex’s roof. The wind and snow don’t phase her as she moves with complete grace and control. An audience watches from the comfort of their homes peering through their windows as the ballerina moves. While our communities may not look the same during different seasons of life, the connection and support they offer is always possible. Scripture informs us that relationships are needed to keep us on the right path toward Christ. God didn’t see Adam fit to be alone, nor does He see us in that way. May God bless your existing relationships whether with family, friends, a significant other, and coworkers. And if you are lacking in relationships, May God bless you with people who will love, honor, and bring you closer to the Lord. “Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.” (Proverbs 27:17)

Teen Returns Home From Hospital And Sees A Cheering Crowd

What a pleasant surprise! A teen returns home from the hospital and sees a cheering crowd. Having someone waiting for you at home can be quite a nice feeling, especially if you are returning from a long trip away or a stay at the hospital. One teen came home from the hospital to find many people waiting for her in celebration. “I love our friendship. Our friendship is always gonna be close. I’m never gonna move on from her. I know she’s never gonna move on from me. We’re gonna have this close friendship,” Keri said. The teen and star of this video is Keri Fitzgerald. She met her best friend Liege through a program at their high school called Best Buddies. The program allowed them to spend quality time together inside and outside of school. Liege shared, “We started hanging out more often. I would take her to like the chorus concerts or out to dinner, like to get ice cream, or just on little drives or just hanging out at her house and we’d have like dance parties or do whatever we wanted or make TikToks.” A feeling of sisterhood sprang from their growing friendship. Keri’s mother was especially grateful for the development. Her mother noted that there have been moments in Keri’s life where she felt lacking in her number of friends. “And there’s times that she feels very isolated. And Liege has accepted her into her life and has tried to do everything she can to make Keri happy,” the mother said. Part of what makes life a bit challenging for Keri is her diagnosis of Williams Syndrome. The syndrome makes her mentally and physically challenged in various ways that her peers are not. Keri’s mother added, “Just recently in March 17th, it was St. Patrick’s Day. She started getting another sharp pain and come to find out her lung collapsed again. But this time it was much worse. We almost lost her. I mean, that’s how bad it got at one point.” Liege wasn’t allowed to visit Keri inside the hospital, but she visited from the outside, standing beyond the window. Eventually Keri was allowed to go home. Upon her return she found a surprise waiting for her. Liege and Keri’s sister Shannon had organized a big welcome home parade for Keri. Keri was immediately moved by the sight. Many cars were parked along the curb. Horns honked. Some people stood outside their cars with signs. Others stood on the back of their cars with signs. “Welcome home sister!” someone shouted. The event was awe-inspiring and very loving. Keri’s joyful tears clearly agreed. Friendship has the ability to turn us into stronger people, people more focused on God, people better able to hope in dire circumstances. May we take this story and allow it to shape us into people with a more Christ-like perspective on friendship. “A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity.” (Proverbs 17:17)

Beautiful 'Hallelujah' Performance From Teen Street Buskers

This beautiful ‘Hallelujah’ performance from teen street buskers is definitely a must-see. It is truly a gift when a young individual discovers his or her God-given talent. And God-given talent couldn’t be more apparent than teen street buskers singing a beautiful rendition of ‘Hallelujah’. This song couldn’t be more perfect during these trying times. The song, ‘Hallelujah’ was originally composed by singer/songwriter Leonard Cohen and released in 1984. He was a musician who was known for soulful, poetic songs that explored the depths of despair, broken love, and politics — all of which are often laced with religious imagery drawn from his Jewish background. The song’s constant refrain takes listeners on a richly structured journey of pain, suffering, and joy mixed with celebration. This song is also rich in Biblical references of the Old Testament, including references to King David and Samson's tragic romances. "Well I've heard there was a secret chord That David played and it pleased the Lord" Between beautifully poetic lyrics, the tragic romance references, and hallowed lamentation, it's no wonder why this song will forever be a classic cover for any band. But it couldn’t be more beautifully sung than by the three teen buskers. In fact, the video quickly went viral with over half a million views within days of its release. One of the teen buskers, Allie Sherlock has almost four million subscribers because of her rich, soulful voice. This song is a perfect pairing for her voice. She is accompanied by Saibh Skelly, Cuan Durkin, performing in the streets of Dublin, Ireland. Grab a tissue and be prepared to cry over the beauty of the song and jump up and down over how gifted these teens truly are. And don’t forget to send it to a friend. “Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord, O my soul! I will praise the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being. Put not your trust in princes, in a son of man, in whom there is no salvation. When his breath departs, he returns to the earth; on that very day his plans perish. Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord his God.” Psalms 146:1-5

14-Year-Old With Unique Voice Stuns The Voice Judges With Lewis Capaldi Audition

A 14-year-old with a unique voice stuns The Voice judges with his Lewis Capaldi audition. You’ll definitely want to hear this one! Imagine encouraging a youth in the way he should go. That’s what happened to 14-year-old, Carter Rubin whose unique voice stunned the judges on The Voice with his Lewis Capaldi audition. The performance opened on a blacked out stage with a piano accompanying a husky, rhythmic voice as he sang Before You Go. The song is about dealing with the aftermath of losing a loved one. As he hits the high notes in these lyrics he moves the judges. "When you hurt under the surface, Like troubled water running cold Well, time can heal, but this won't So, before you go, Was there something I could've said to make your heart beat better? If only I'd have known you had a storm to weather" John Legend gives Carter his vote and when John is finally able to see the singer, visible shock is apparent on his face. He had no idea Carter was so young. The next judge to give him a vote was Gwen. She was visibly shaken and emotional as she listened to Carter belt out such emotional and deep words about loss. Gwen comments, “You do not look like your voice. Okay? Just so you know.” Blake chimed in, “Where is the person who was singing?” John explained, “You sounded polished, you sounded strong. Your voice has control which a lot of people your age would not have. And your tone is just piercing, brillant, and it just shimmers.” Then came the moment for Carter to choose which Judge would be his coach. Would he choose Gwen Stefani or John Legend? Of course we won’t know but if you watch the clip you might be able to decipher who Carter will ultimately choose to help him with his career. Either way, the young man has been blessed with a wonderful talent that will move many. “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.” Colossians 3:16

Barbershop Chorus Sings Frank Sinatra 'Come Fly With Me' Cover

A barbershop chorus sings a Frank Sinatra ‘Come Fly With Me’ cover that you won’t want to miss! This all-male youth barbershop chorus group, Boomtown Chorus, originated in Orange County, California. They started in the fall of 2011 by their original member Joey Buss and competed at International Youth Barbershop Chorus Festival in Tucson, Arizona in 2012. They won the championship for choruses with an average of member age that was under 19-years old. Frank Sinatra was born on December 12, 1915, and he passed away in May 1998. Frank was a legendary American singer and songwriter. He was one of the most famous pop, swing, and jazz artists of his time, and was one of the most popular musical artists in the 20th century. Frank is remembered as one of the best selling music artists of all time. Something interesting about Frank was that he never learned how to read music, he worked his way up from a young age, and improved his musical abilities. Frank was also known for being a ‘perfectionist,’ he was always dressed to impress and had a strong stage performance. He would constantly request that he would record live with his band. During his time he got the nickname ‘Old Blue Eyes’ because of his bright memorable eyes. Frank was also included in Time Magazine’s 20th century’s most influential people. After he passed away Robert Christgau called him the “greatest singer of the 20th” century. Frank continues to be an iconic figure in the jazz community. He sold more than 150 million records worldwide while he was alive. ‘Come Fly With Me’ is Frank Sinatra’s 14th album he released in 1958 and was nominated for a Grammy for Album Of The Year. These young men from BoomTown Chorus perfectly embody Frank in their performance and give us a wonderful cover of this timeless song. Their harmonies definitely make this a memorable cover of this classic song!

Quartet Performs Unique Rendition Of 'Bohemian Rhapsody'

A quartet performs a unique rendition of ‘Bohemian Rhapsody,’ and they take their performance on the road. The classic rock ballad, Bohemian Rhapsody, has withstood the test of time and been covered numerous times by many artists. This particular cover is unique because it is strictly an instrumental piece. There are no lyrics being sung, only played on the piano and string instruments. Simply Three & William Joseph did a spectacular performance in this cover because you can really feel the soulfulness. Their performance is infused with emotion and really resonates! Simply Three is made up of Glen McDaniel, Nick Villalobos, and Zack Clark, and they were originally founded in 2010. The men are known for doing various covers of genres, and popular musical artists such as Adele, Gershwin, Coldplay, Twenty One Pilots, Ed Sheeran, and Micheal Jackson. Their website shares that they are, “Classically Trained. Pop Influenced. String Driven.” “By reshaping convention through this style of genre-hopping, the trio continues to seek the true essence of classical crossover with original works as well as innovative arrangements that showcase their technical virtuosity and heartfelt musicality,” their site explains. William Joseph also played a huge part in this wonderful cover bringing the grace and elegance of his pianist abilities, making this a timeless classic of this wonderful song. William is described as an electrifying performer with a cinematic style. He has shared the stage with world-class artists including John Mayer, Beyoncé, John Legend, Michael Bublé, Andrea Bocelli, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Blake Shelton, Ray Romano, Robin Williams, and Barbra Streisand. Queen was a British rock band from London formed in 1970 whose record sales exceeded 170 million. All four members were inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2003. Bohemian Rhapsody was originally written and performed in 1975, and was featured on the album, A Night at the Opera. Bohemian Rhapsody won Grammy Hall Of Fame in 2004, Brit Award for Song of the Year in 1977 and MTV Video Music Award for Best Video from a Film in 1992.

Barbershop Quartet Sings Elvis Presley 'All Shook Up' Cover

Barbershop quartet sings Elvis Presley ‘All Shook Up’ cover, and it’ll have you tapping your toes! If we can agree that people coming together to join voices in a song is good, then more people singing together would be even better! At least that’s the motto for the Barbershop Harmony Society. It’s their goal to introduce more people to barbershop harmonies. This is definitely one video you don't want to miss. The members’ voices harmonize beautifully with each other’s and the energy with this group is contagious. You can’t help but smile as you watch these guys who are clearly having a blast themselves. Babyfaced and clean shaved, the group does the perfect arrangement of the classic hit, complete with many of Elvis’ signature moves. They sing in perfect harmony which is what the Barbershop Harmony Society is all about! They said, “Harmony compels us to blend, to cooperate, to create beauty. Indeed, to love each other. It’s time to think of the gift of harmony not just as a treasure for our own enjoyment, but as a tool for direct social impact.” Their mission and passion for musical harmony is one of the most Christ centered gifts in the world of music. If Elvis were alive today, he would have approved of the quartet’s version of his second biggest hit. This was one of Elvis’ most popular songs of all time after "Don't Be Cruel"/"Hound Dog", and it spent eight weeks atop Billboard's Top 100 Singles chart. Billboard declared this the #1 single of 1957. "Don't Be Cruel" was #1 for 1956, the only time in the history of Billboard that the same artist recorded the #1 hit singles of two consecutive calendar years. When this song was released, Elvis was in the midst of an incredible hot streak. He had the number one single for 25 weeks in 1956, "Heartbreak Hotel". If singers want to bring people together and get them dancing or put them in a good mood, Elvis’ song is a no brainer. “Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight. Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all. If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.” Romans 12: 16-18

The Piano Guys Use Technology To Create World's Largest Piano

Check out this creative video where The Piano Guys use technology to create the world’s largest piano and move that piano all over the world! At the beginning of the video, we are informed that it was filmed using the iOS and Android app “AR Pianist.” Jon, the pianist, and Steve, the cellist, used this app to create a fun video of them performing their rendition of ‘Für Elise.’ And how cool is it that they can still play together even if they are not in the same room at the same time. The technology that we have available to us is so impressive! Steve shares on their YouTube page about the first time he heard Jon play ‘Für Elise.’ “Steve (the cellist) here. Jon and I have been playing together for many, many years -- even long before The Piano Guys. I’ll never forget the first time I heard Jon whip out his own playfully deranged arrangement of one of the most well-known pieces ever written,” Steve says. “I was backstage getting ready to join him for the next song and he began the first notes of Für Elise. I admit I cringed a little, like many I had heard it far too many times.” Steve continues. “But then all of the sudden it wasn’t Für Elise anymore, it was a piece of music that caused me to involuntarily tap my foot and grow a goofy grin on my face. I fell in love with “Für Elise Jam” -- because Jon wasn’t playing it to mock Beethoven or try to ‘improve’ on Beethoven (no one can do that) -- he was sincerely just having fun. And the audience and I could feel that. I remember thinking, ‘we need more of this.’ Perhaps that was one of those propitious premonitions of things to come.” “And now we’re at 10 years with the Piano Guys, releasing our 10th album. And this song had to be part of it. Oh, and I hope you don’t mind that I added a little cello. After all, there’s always room for cello.” What a wonderful story and what a creative use of technology for this performance! We hope you enjoyed it!

Battle Round On The Voice Has The Judges On Their Feet Cheering

Check out this battle round on The Voice between Bailey Rae and Sid Kingsley. Their performance of ‘Tennessee Whiskey’ by Chris Stapleton has the judges on their feet and cheering them on! “Used to spend my nights out in a barroom, liquor was the only love I've known But you rescued me from reachin' for the bottom, and brought me back from being too far gone You're as smooth as Tennessee whiskey, you're as sweet as strawberry wine You're as warm as a glass of brandy, and honey, I stay stoned on your love all the time” “I love this song!” Kelly Clarkson says excitedly just as the music begins to play. Both Bailey Rae and Sid Kingsley have such amazing voice, and together, they sound phenomenal! It’s amazing how well their voices complement each other. The judges are swaying back and forth and loving every minute of this performance. We are, too! After the contestants finish singing, the judges give the pair a standing ovation! They both did an incredible job, but John Legend gave the winning spot of the Voice battle to Bailey Rae. But at the last second, Kelly made the decision to steal Sid to be a part of her team! “It is awful to have to choose. One without the other wouldn’t give that astonishing version,” comments one person on YouTube after watching Bailey and Sid battle it out. “Both gave me their best.” “John Legend has proven he can cross all genres of music. These two contestants are equally phenomenal,” writes another person on YouTube. “Thanks to Kelly for saving Sid!” So after this battle round on The Voice, it looks like Bailey and Sid are going on to the next round. We can’t wait to see what songs these two choose to perform next!

Since then, she has sung the national anthem at more than 40 events, including the MLS Cup Final with a record breaking 73K people in attendance. Last year she was invited to perform on American Idol in front of the celebrity judges (Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan) and was awarded with the Golden Ticket, even though she was too young to compete. ‘A Change Is Gonna Come’ is a powerful and popular song that has been covered by many throughout the years, and Malea Emma’s cover of the song is just wonderful! We hope you enjoyed it.
