Emmylou Harris Moved To Tears After Band Performs Tribute Song

Country singer Emmylou Harris was moved to tears after the band ‘First Aid Kit’ performs a touching tribute song. Like millions of other fans, many discovered their love for Emmylou Harris’ music at a young age. After all, she is an iconic legend when it comes to country music. So much so, sisters Johanna and Klara Söderberg of the Swedish duo, First Aid Kit stood up to tell their story of how they fell in love with her music in their early teens. “It was quite the musical revelation for us. We were so inspired that we wrote this song which is about the joy and the magic of singing together with someone that you love,” Johanna Soderberg said. What the band didn’t expect was that Emmylou would be sitting in the audience! Would you be able to sing or even speak if you found out that one of your icons was sitting in the room? These two weren’t sure. But, the pair hit every note perfectly revealing a whimsey and beautiful love song: I'll be your Emmylou and I'll be your June If you'll be my Gram and my Johnny too No, I'm not asking much of you Just sing, little darling, sing with me The song references Emmylou’s romance with Gram who died in 1973. It also references the iconic romance of legendary Johnny Cash’s and his wife June Carter Cash. What happens next is so sweet and tender. The 71-year-old music legend was caught on camera with tears streaming down her cheeks. She quickly removed her glasses and wiped her tears with a tissue as quickly as each tear fell. When the audience thundered in applause, Emmylou raised her hands to clap above her head. It’s no wonder the First Aid Kit duo honored her. She has become one of music’s most revered voices, releasing close to thirty albums and collaborating with everyone from Dolly Parton to Bright Eyes across her 50-year career. These young ladies embodied the words of 1 Timothy 5:17, “ Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word and doctrine.”

2 Former AGT Contestants Sing 'The Prayer' Duet

Check out this inspiring video of two former America’s Got Talent contestants singing a duet of ‘The Prayer.’ “I pray you'll be our eyes and watch us where we go And help us to be wise in times when we don't know Let this be our prayer as we go our way Lead us to a place, guide us with your grace, to a place where we'll be safe” The two singers are Evie Clair and Angelica Hale, who are both Season 12 America’s Got Talent finalists. Evie lost her father to colon cancer, and Angelica is a kidney transplant survivor. “An amazing group called Kids Kicking Cancer brought together two friends and competitors from America's Got Talent season 12 for a stunning interview with Rabbi G,” reads the caption of this YouTube video. “He invited Angelica and Evie to the Hero's Circle for their examples of strength and light through difficult times. They then sing an epic duet of The Prayer made famous by both Celine Dion & Andrea Bocelli AND Josh Groban and Charlotte Church. This inspiring song was written by David Foster and Carole Bayer Sager. Many thanks to Charity Bids for arranging this incredible collaboration.” Evie and Angelica both have such incredible voices, and they sound so wonderful together! Their voices are both smooth and powerful, and their performance of ‘The Prayer’ will give you goosebumps! “Now this is an epic collaboration!” writes one person on YouTube after watching the video. “That was so touching and emotional with the beautiful harmonies that you both presented upon us is really inspiring! Thank you Evie & Angelica for this wonderful song and spreading the awareness of cancer and the need to eradicate it from society! May God bless everyone.” “That is a beautiful inspiring song. This is the best rendition I've ever heard,” comments another person on the YouTube video. “The two of you are so talented, but, so much more. There is a pure light of care and good in each of you that seem so rare these days. You are an inspiration, each of you. I truly love you both and pray for your continued success.” We hope you enjoyed watching this incredible duet today!

Siblings Perform 'Dreams' Fleetwood Mac Cover in Their Living Room

Check out these siblings performing an amazing cover of Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Dreams’ in their living room. “Now here you go again, you say you want your freedom, well, who am I to keep you down It's only right that you should play the way you feel it, but listen carefully To the sound of your loneliness, like a heartbeat drives you mad In the stillness of remembering what you had, and what you lost, and what you had Thunder only happens when it's rainin', players only love you when they're playin'” The opening shot of the video shows five siblings sitting in their living room, and then the camera zooms in on the vocalists and bassist who starts off the song. Her voice is so smooth, and throughout the rest of the song, you realize how lovely the rest of the group’s voices are as well! The sibling group’s band name is Infinity Song, and they are all so talented! They have such beautiful harmonies, and they all sound so good together. It must be so fun to practice and perform music with your brothers and sisters! Musical talent clearly runs in this family, and what a wonderful cover they did of this classic song. “So beautiful. I just wanna come there and hang out in your living room!” writes one person on Facebook after watching the video. “Another goosebump producing arrangement by a beautiful band. Bless you all,” comments another person on Facebook. It is not easy to reimagine and transform such an iconic song, but the siblings of Infinity Song did just that with their arrangement of ‘Dreams.’ It is definitely one of those songs that you could listen to over and over again! We hope you enjoyed this beautiful and peaceful cover today and it brought a smile to your face!

Betty The Weather Cat Steals The Show As Weatherman Works From Home

One weatherman’s cat, Betty, steals the show as he works from home. Check out this video to see some behind the scenes of the cute, fluffy weather cat. “Do you ever wonder what Jeff Lyons does in between takes? Let’s find out,” says a news anchor to the camera. Then the camera pans over and shows Jeff standing in front of a green screen playing with his pet cat. “I mean, there are some benefits to working from home, as much as I like to be back there with everybody. Betty here, this is the Lyons’ household cat, seems to be enamored with all the lights,” Jeff says during his weather show. While many people are working from home at the moment, their work routines have had to adjust. And this is the case for Jeff Lyons, a meteorologist whose cat interrupts his weather forecasts. But it turns out that people love seeing his cat on his broadcasts! Jeff is the Chief Meteorologist at WFIE-TV in southern Indiana. In order to follow social distancing rules, Jeff has been working from home and set up his new studio where he records his weather forecasts in his dining room. One day while he was working, his cat, Betty, kept hanging around him. So Jeff picked her up and held her in his arms while filming a small segment for the news. And after Betty's debut on Jeff's weather broadcast, people have been tuning in more and more to see her on screen. There have even been people in Europe and Australia viewing the weather segments to get a glimpse of Jeff's new feline co-worker! And Betty now has an official lower third graphic on the show that reads "Betty the weather cat" whenever she is on screen. Betty has been part of Jeff's family for 11 years when she first showed up on a windowsill at their house. Little did Betty know then that when she joined their family, she would have a future in weather forecasting with Jeff!

There is a dog that can be seen in the video coming out of a building with his owners. But he pauses, just for a second, in the middle of the street. It is almost as if he is remembering something that he has to do. That’s when the dog turns right back around and head straight back into the building! Father-Daughter Duet To Leonard Cohen's 'Hallelujah'

This father-daughter duet to Leonard Cohen’s ‘Hallelujah’ is so special. Mat and his daughter Savannah are back again. If you don’t know who they are, then you’ve been deprived of good, wholesome music that also has a message. The pair began singing together when music-loving Savannah asked her dad to help her sing a song to show her friends in choir. The rest is history as their daily lives took an unexpected turn to bless our ears with their God gifted talent. Mat and Savannah shared, “There is just something special about this song. It calms a troubled heart. It reminds us that even though things seem so chaotic, we can still find so many reasons to proclaim, “Hallelujah”. So pass it on, and share some peace in a very troubled world.” In this video, the pair are joined by the very talented Stephen Nelson who plays piano and lends his vocals, which blend beautifully with the father-daughter pair. Their heart rending and beautiful rendition of Hallelujah is a beautiful version you won’t want to miss hearing. There is just something so hauntingly beautiful and relatable about this song. Everyone can relate to the loneliness, devastation, and how God comforts us all in those moments. In fact, a little known fact about the song is how Leonard had reached a low point in his career when penned the lyrics in 1984. His record label didn’t see anything special about the song and they didn't want to release it either. But thankfully, God had other plans. Hallelujah has become one of the most well known cover songs world wide with various artists singing their version of the song. But, the father-daughter duet we all know and love took it to a whole new level, especially the way the pair serenade each other with the lyrics: Now, I've heard there was a secret chord That David played, and it pleased the Lord And their video is going viral with more than 150,000 views so far! Mat and his daughter Savannah sing the song so eloquently, it reminds us there are so many reasons to proclaim, “Hallelujah” regardless of living in a troubled world. Jesus said we will have trouble, not if but will, and this song is a great reminder we can still say, “Hallelujah” through it all, the good and the bad. Not only does this family team nail the beauty of this song. Grab a tissue and be prepared to be blown away! I will extol the Lord at all times; his praise will always be on my lips. I will glory in the Lord; let the afflicted hear and rejoice. Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt his name together. I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears. Psalm 34:1-4

Former Ballerina With Alzheimer's Remembers Dance After Hearing The Music

A former ballerina with Alzheimer's remembers dance after hearing the music to Swan Lake. Music is very healing, especially to those who have dementia and Alzheimer’s. It is actually used as a tool to help them remember very special memories and events. In this video that went viral after it was uploaded to YouTube, this former ballerina remembered the dancer that she once was. You can see her face light up as the very first chords of the music begins to play. Marta C Gonzalez was a prima ballerina in the 1960s. And she danced to Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake hundreds of times during her career. But later in life, Alzheimer’s disease stole these beautiful memories from her. Marta passed away in 2019. But not before cameras captured an emotional moment when the choreography from the long-forgotten ballet came flooding back to her. Her hands move gracefully to the choreography of the song, and you can see her go into her happy place. As a person with Alzheimer's Marta really struggled with short term memory, and needed assistance with daily life. But through music therapy, she was transported, if even for a brief moment, to a happier time. As the song continued to play, the man who sat by her side held her hand, and kissed it gently smiling lovingly at her. As the video goes on, Marta’s engagement grows from just gentle hand movements, to the wheelchair-bound woman doing the full upper body portion of the choreography. A Spanish music therapy group called Música para Despertar (Music to Wake Up To) filmed Marta before her death but didn’t share the footage until recently. And the incredible video quickly took off! The video intercuts between Marta and a ballerina’s performance on stage so that you can see just how well Marta remembers the choreography. After all the hours upon hours she had rehearsed it, just hearing the music brought back what was once second nature! The video ended with a photo of Marta in 1967 wearing her ballerina costume. It’s touching to watch and by the end of Swan Lake by Tchaikovsky, the whole room is clapping for Marta. She tells the caretaker by her side she’s emotional. The incredibly moving video circulated all across the globe after Música para Despertar shared it online. Award-winning actor Antonio Bandera shared the video, and was blown away by “the emotional power of music.” Jennifer Garner was also awed by the ballerina’s reaction, saying, “Our innate connection to music, to movement, to the arts, is beautiful.” Music truly is a gift from God. It’s so deeply linked to our emotions and personal experiences. What a blessing to see its impact on those battling Alzheimer’s!

Billy Graham's Powerful Speech On Change Is Even More Relevant Today

Billy Graham’s speech on change is so powerful. And it is surprisingly relevant for the season where we find ourselves today! 2020 has come into our lives like an unwanted house guest. It parked itself squarely in the middle of our homes and left us reeling. Between social distancing, schools shutting down, businesses closing, jobs lost, and millions worldwide infected because of COVID-19, we’ve spent most of 2020 going through one difficult season of one change after another. Throw in an election year, and you’ve got a recipe ripe for unrest. But Billy Graham’s powerful speech on change is even more relevant today. A pandemic and an election can be rough on your faith, and Billy reminds us to stick to the facts. The laws of nature will never change. The universe will not change. And God has not changed. God is unchanging today and forever. His plan of salvation hasn’t changed either. In fact, neither has his love for his children and he knows what we are going through because we are in his hands. In this inspiring video, Billy gives us an uplifting message that reminds us, Jesus is the way. Billy goes on to say, “In the midst of everything changing, there are some things that never change. Think of it a moment, the nature of God doesn’t change. “How can a finite mind like mine comprehend the infinite? I cannot… When I quote the scripture, I know I am quoting the word of God.” Billy inspires billions who have witnessed this video. With almost two billion views, the message of this video reminds us no matter what is happening in our world, God does not change. He can and will wipe the slate clean for each of us in the middle of our sins if we only ask him because the way of salvation for our world has not changed. Sit down and get ready to be blessed, uplifted, and full of fire for a God who has you in his hands and be sure to share with someone he needs to know God does not change! “Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable.” Isaiah 40:28

Little Big Town Performs Kenny Rogers Tribute 'Sweet Music Man'

Little Big Town honors country great, Kenny Rogers, with a stunning performance of ‘Sweet Music Man’ at the 2020 Country Music Awards. Kenny Rogers was one of the great voices in the entire music industry. But there’s no doubt that he left a lasting impression on the music world that will never be forgotten. One of his most iconic songs is ‘Sweet Music Man.’ “Sing a song sweet music man 'cause I won't be there To hold your hand like I used to, I'm through with you You're a heck of a singer and powerful man but you surround yourself With people who demand so little of you” Today, the talented quartet of Little Big Town pays tribute to Kenny Rogers with a very special rendition of ‘Sweet Music Man.’ This electric country group is comprised of Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Phillip Sweet, and Jimi Westbrook. Little Big Town was formed in 1998 and they’ve been churning out hit after hit for decades. Now, they’re honoring one of the greatest country singers as they belt out these powerful words during a performance at the 2020 CMA Awards. “Oh, but nobody sings a love song quite like you do Oh, and nobody else can make me sing along Nobody else can make me feel things are right When I know they're wrong, nobody sings a love song quite like you” What an unforgettable tribute!
