After Daughter Gets Every Top Answer, Steve Harvey Is Nervous For Mom’s Turn

One young woman’s excellent performance on Family Feud put pressure on her mother and had host Steve Harvey sweating it out for mom.

The 24-hour cable news channels, several prominent websites and social media would lead one to believe Americans are divided deeply on every single issue. That is not the case. Most Americans are entirely civil to one another, able to find common ground in different areas.

Americans have similar thoughts and feelings on a variety of subjects and situations. The popular game show Family Feud is an indicator, even if it’s a small one, that people in the United States do think and feel alike.

One young woman appears to think very much like the average American. She gave Steve the top answer for every question. She did so well that she ended up banking 193 points out of the 200 needed to take home the $20,000 grand prize.

The young woman made her mom’s job very easy. She only needed to get 7 more points. Nothing could go wrong, right?

Well, Steve was more than a little nervous for mom. He explained the situation to Mary Anne, breaking it down with good news and bad news.

“The bad news is there’s a possibility that they will disown you as their mother,” Steve said

He also told her about the good part of her situation.

“Well, you’re gonna love this news right here,” Steve said. “Courtney got a 193 points. You need 7, 7, 7 points.”

After Steve’s information, mom knew that if she and her family did not win the money, the loss was totally on her. Mom was feeling the pressure at this point.

A few seconds later, Steve asks Mary Anne the same five questions her daughter, Courtney, had just answered. Given that mom duplicated a few of her daughter’s answers and even passed and didn’t give an answer to one question, that 200-point mark seemed to be in jeopardy.

Luckily though, mom comes through, and her first answer gives the family more than enough. The family crosses the 200-point threshold and wins the money!

Mom Saves 17-Year-Old Daughter In Cardiac Arrest During Cheer Competition

A woman experienced likely the scariest scenario possible for a parent: seeing her child unresponsive and without a pulse. But this quick-thinking mother acted and helped save her daughter’s life.

While warming up prior to a cheerleading competition, 17-year-old Keianna Joe experienced a scary medical episode. She collapsed suddenly and went into cardiac arrest.

Andrea Joe, Keianna’s mother, said her daughter’s cheer coach ran frantically, screamed for help and asked someone to call an ambulance. Andrea then witnessed her daughter unconscious and without a pulse.

Andrea, a certified medical assistant, sprang into action, working to save her precious daughter’s life.

“I just took over,” Andrea said. “I know CPR. I know how to do this. This is my baby and I have to save her.”

For about 10 minutes, this loving mother worked to save her daughter as she performed CPR on Keianna, hoping to get her heart beating again.

Then, as the video on YouTube mentions, a portable defibrillator arrived on the scene. Thankfully, Andrea had received training on these devices, but there was something different about this one.

“The machine said, ‘shock required,’” Andrea said. “And I mean, I’ve trained on these AED devices before and they’ve never told me, you know, ‘shock required.”’

Nevertheless, Andrea used the defibrillator to shock Keianna’s heart back into rhythm and performed even more CPR on her.

Finally, a heartbeat returned! Andrea had saved her daughter’s life!

After a 10-day hospital stay, Keianna is out, but with a miniature defibrillator in her chest. It remains unclear what caused Keianna to go into cardiac arrest.

Andrea stated, with tears welling up, that on the way home from the hospital, she made Keianna hold her hand.

“She’s with me, she’s here, she’s right next to me and I’ve got her,” Andrea said. “And it’s the best feeling ever.”

What a scary, but beautiful story about love and a woman who refused to let her daughter die.

‘Stand By Me’ Flashmob Stuns Bride And Groom During Wedding Ceremony

One couple was taken aback, the bride was even brought to tears, because of an expected and beautiful show of love and support from guests during their wedding ceremony.

Weddings are joyful occasions in which two people vow to stick together through the good and the bad. That pledge of love and commitment for and to another is made public before those in attendenace and God.

However, guests at one wedding also vowed to love, support and “stand by” the newlyweds. In a display of their commitment to the happy couple, several attendees stood up throughout the church and sang different portions of the 1960s classic “Stand by Me” by Ben E. King.

Some of the guests who participate even have a fair amount of musical ability. The gentleman who sings first, kicking off the incredible performance, has a ton of talent. With just a few lines, he shows off his stunning voice!

The performance caught the bride and groom completely off guard. The bride, throughout the song, has tears in her eyes. At one point in the video, her husband even hands her a handkerchief.

Near the conclusion of the 3-and-a-half-minute clip, several guests march toward the front of the room. When they come within a few feet of the platform, they split, with half going to either side as they serenade the bride and groom.

The clip ends with a well-deserved and thunderous round of applause.

What a lovely and sweet moment that took the newlyweds by complete surprise! It’s also one they will likely cherish for the rest of their lives!

Others who commented on the YouTube video pointed out how much they loved the touching and surprising performance.

“This gave me chills, what a wonderful tribute to them on their wedding day!!!!” one person wrote.

“What a wonderful wedding gift for the bride & groom! It brought tears to my eyes. It was just beautiful! Congratulations,” a second person added.

For Over 18 Years, NY Bus Driver Crochets Hats For Every Student

There are a variety of ways to display kindness and one bus driver in New York state has found a unique approach to using her talent to bless others.

Patty Reitz drives a school bus in the suburbs of Buffalo, New York. But to Patty, the school children are more than just passengers she picks up and drops off every day. They are her “school bus family,” she said.

So, much like in any other family, Patty gives each of the children who ride her bus a gift. He gives each child a handmade hat. Patty has been crocheting for more than 18 years, ever since she picked up the hobby in 2005.

Patty, lovingly known as “the hat lady,” buys the materials herself and then spends the hour and a half that it takes to make each hat.

At this point, Patty estimates she has made more than 7,000 hats for children in nearly two decades.

The children who ride Patty’s bus love the homemade gifts from their kind and loving bus driver.

“I think it’s cool,” one young lady said.

“I love her hats,” a second girl said.

One young man described Patty’s handmade hat as “really nice and comfy.”

So, what keeps Patty motivated and continuing to crochet hats for the elementary school children who ride her bus? Why does she spend all the money and invest all the time into the hats? For Patty, the reason is very simple and also sweet.

She states that it’s all about seeing the smiles on the children’s faces, claiming that “it’s worth it.”

What a terrific and creative way to exhibit Christ-like love to some of the smallest and most vulnerable members of our society.

Colossians 3:12 “Put on therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, humility and perseverance.

Little Boy Shows Off His Dance Moves During School Concert

One young child was unable to contain himself and got up and strutted his stuff during a school function.

Children, for the most part, are uninhibited and likely to do or say anything without regard for social norms. This type of blunt honesty can be refreshing and even amusing at times. But there are other instances when, for the parents, a child’s carefree actions and words can result in headaches and apologies.

However, one clip is a child simply enjoying and participating in a school concert. The video, posted on YouTube, displays the little guy sitting in the front row, when the music hits him.

Unable to contain himself, the little boy must get up and dance as Rema’s “Calm Down” is played. He is putting on a dance clinic all by himself. The rest of his little friends sit, seemingly oblivious to the show in the front row.

The child’s initial dance moves elicit a few laughs and even several shouts from the crowd. He is having the time of his life and doesn’t care who is watching!

Also, his moves would probably put most people to shame!

But as has been said, joy is infectious, as is seen in the video. Seconds after the child stands up and begins twisting, turning and letting the music guide him, other children get in on the act. Several children around him take to the floor, dancing and hopping around to the popular track.

The short, cute video is an excellent reminder of the innocence and joy of childhood. Most children simply want to have fun and just enjoy themselves. Adults in that situation would have been too concerned with appearances and what others might think to ever even consider doing something similar.

Psalms 149:3 “Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises to him with the tambourine and harp.”

News Reporter Hugs Son During Live Broadcast After School Shooting

Good reporters can tell a story, report from a scene without adding their thoughts, feelings or opinions, but for one journalist, this was easier said than done, and for good reason.

Unfortunately, it feels like every other day there is a new school shooting. At this point, the way these horrible and devastating events play out are all very similar. Schools are placed on lockdown for hours as authorities hunt for the perpetrator while journalists update the public on the number of people injured and killed.

However, for Fox News reporter Alicia Acuna, a school shooting in Denver, Colorado became extremely personal. She was sent to report on a shooting at a high school where her 17-year-old son is a student.

That mother must have been experiencing overwhelming fear, dread and anxiety while wondering whether her child was unharmed or injured.

Luckily, Alicia was able to reunite with her son. While reporting about the shooting, with yellow police tape behind her, Alicia gave her son a big embrace live on air.

However, prior to the hug, Alicia, with obvious emotion in her voice, mentions that she has not seen her son since word of the shooting first broke.

After the quick but loving hug with her son, the mother actually apologizes for the show of emotion.

“I’m so sorry,” she said. “I just, there’s no way you would have let your kid walk by.”

There probably isn’t anyone who would blame the concerned mother for showing emotion and hugging her son in such a situation. Most people, more than likely would not have been able to keep it together long enough to report, knowing that their child may have been a victim.

What a beautiful reunion and display of love from a woman who is a mother first and a reporter second.

Romans 12:9 “Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor that which is evil. Cling to that which is good.”

Pizza Delivery Driver Helps 90-Year-Old After She Fell Outside

One man, while working, spotted an elderly woman in distress and sprang into action, lending a much-appreciated helping hand.

It does not require a lot to provide someone with assistance, to make their day a little better. Really, the only elements necessary are spotting a need and someone who is willing to act. Joey Herrera, a 29-year-old pizza delivery man, is that kind of person as he became a Good Samaritan for a 90-year-old woman.

In the clip posted on YouTube, Joey had just completed a pizza delivery in a Tampa Bay, Florida neighborhood when he spotted Annie Goshen. Annie, while out working in her garden, tripped over a rock and fell. The 90-year-old grandmother was unable to get up.

Luckily, Joey saw Annie in distress and came to her rescue. The clip shows Joey guiding Annie into her living as she sits in a chair.

After she gets settled, Joey isn’t done with his good deed. He remains concerned about her, offering to provide her with even more help. Joey also called 911 to check on Annie.

“Do you want me to get you any water or anything?” Joey asks Annie.

In the video, Annie expresses her sincere gratitude and embraces Joey lovingly.

“It literally felt like I saw my own grandmother on the floor,” Joey said.

After learning about their mother’s episode and how much worse it could have been if Joey hadn’t shown Annie love, compassion and kindness, they were eternally grateful. They referred to Joey as a “blessing.”

Joey, for his kind act toward Annie, received a $350 check from her daughters.

But that’s not all. Joey’s place of employment also bestowed a bonus upon him for his good deed.

What a beautiful act of kindness from a man who was concerned enough about the well-being of another person to lend a helping hand.

Ephesians 4:32 “And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you.”
