One young child had a cute and surprisingly very introspective discussion with his mother about emotions, feelings and choices.

It’s easy to overlook a child’s temper tantrum or any other instance in which they act out for attention. However, children, even at a young age, possess a lot of emotional intelligence. Often, they can express themselves with a stunning amount of clarity and coherence.

In a video posted to YouTube, a 4-year-old child sat down and had a remarkably deep conversation with his mother about emotions, processing them and life in general. 

The short and cute video begins with the little guy addressing his mother, telling her how much she hurt his feelings. He also explains how his feelings at the time affected his decision and “why he didn’t want to make this, a smart choice.”

The video then cuts to the child and his mother sitting down, having a face-to-face conversation. He explains that he was crushed when he was unable to go outside. However, the boy’s mother responds to the youngster that his not being allowed to go outside was the result of his actions. 

The mother is using this episode to teach her son a life lesson. It's one that will serve him well throughout the rest of his days. The 4-year-old is learning that his choices – good or bad – come with consequences. 

He then tells his mother that his sadness eventually turned into something else.

“But after I was a little bit sad, I was a little bit upset, more than you know,” the child says. 

The mother then uses this occasion to dispense another life lesson. No one ever gets what they want all the time, mom responds. 

Mom also explains that life is filled with emotional situations like that at times. People get upset, become angry and even shed a few tears. 

The child answers his mother stating, “That’s emotions, mamma.”

What a beautiful and short video, which perfectly illustrates how intelligent and perceptive children are to feelings and situations.

We all are aware of what safety matches are. The Safety Matches have matchsticks that help to light the fire (we know this is the basic thing to consider).

One animal who needed assistance walked around, searching for help, but was eventually forced to get herself help and found her way to a vet’s office.

As the saying goes, dogs are man’s best friend. Canines are often kind, loyal and loving, making for great companions. Like humans, dogs are also part of God’s creation and deserve love and kindness as a result. 

A video posted to YouTube shows an animal, a pregnant dog in labor begging for someone, anyone to help her. Text in the video states that the canine had previously been abandoned by her owner, forcing the animal to seek assistance on her own.

In the tear-jerking video, the animal, who is 63 days pregnant, walked up and down streets and approached gates hoping to find someone kind enough to get her medical attention. The video adds that the animal walked up to one door, whined and pawed at the door for hours but no one came to her rescue. 

Eventually, the animal in labor found her way to a veterinarian’s office, who gave her the help she so desperately needed. Realizing the dog was in labor, the vet and his team sprang into action, helping the animal deliver her 12 puppies!

The video shows the newly born, cute little puppies helping themselves, battling one another as they nurse on their mom. 

But the story does not end there! 

The video informs viewers that the dog, who walked herself to a local vet’s office, has found a new and loving home. The veterinarian who helped deliver the puppies took in the abandoned animal. 

Those medical professionals showed extraordinary kindness, love and compassion for an animal in need. Animals are part of God’s creation and deserve so much more than being dumped and abandoned like unwanted pieces of trash. 

Proverbs 12:10 “A righteous man respects the life of his animal, but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.”

One video details the devastating and deadly impact of shaken baby syndrome.

Children are the most precious and vulnerable members of society. They rely upon their mother and father for food, clothing and shelter. A baby’s survival depends on the kindness, love and care of someone else. 

A video posted to YouTube shows the dramatic, harmful and deadly change that one child underwent due to shaken baby syndrome. The video, narrated by the infant’s mother, begins by showing a photo of the infant prior to the abuse.

Several more photos of the baby show what appears to be a healthy child, including one picture in which the child rests in her mother’s arms as another little girl peers down at the child.

The accompanying narration from the mother informs viewers that Christa, her daughter, was born a “healthy baby girl” who “up until three months old had no medical issues.”

However, after Christa turned three months old, she was “shaken by her biological father,” according to the video.

Following the abuse, Christa developed a whole host of medical issues. The video informs viewers that the sweet little baby girl was “diagnosed with seizures, cerebral palsy and many other disabilities.” 

The video also shows awful, tear-jerking images of Christa in a hospital bed with several tubes attached to her body. Sadly, though, the child only lived to be three years old.

The woman providing the voiceover says she put the video in order to “raise awareness.”

What a heartbreaking and heart-wrenching video that would have been for the mother to put together. But in doing so, the mother also shows tons of strength and resiliency. Her video could save a child's life, keeping another parent from experiencing similar grief and sadness. 

Children are precious gifts from the Lord. Children, like all gifts, must be cherished, treasured, loved and protected. 

Psalm 127:3 “See, children are a heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.”

One father has gone to great lengths to bond with his daughters and has gotten attention for it.

Children, while growing up, will explore and try out many different sports and activities. Playing little league, soccer, basketball and football are some of the more popular things children do. Parents may enjoy their children's chosen activities. Unfortunately, there will be other things kids want to do that mom and dad hate with a burning passion. 

However, for one father, his children weren’t interested in soccer or basketball. His two daughters wanted to cheer. So, being a loving, caring and attentive parent, Michael dove headfirst into the competitive world of cheerleading.

Michael and his two daughters – Annabelle and Josie – appeared on The Kelly Clarkson Show, where they talked about their dad supporting their interest and love of cheerleading. Videos even show Michael learning and performing the cheers with his daughters!

Michael explained that his daughters got involved in cheerleading a couple of years ago and he has since come to love and appreciate the sport. 

“I taught myself how to teach them how to do cheers,” Michael said. “Every day we’ll go outside, we’ll stunt in the front yard. I’ll help them with their tumbling, and it’s really been a bonding experience between all three of us.”

Annabelle confessed that Michael has come a long way and is getting better at the sport.

“He’s getting better every time I teach him because when we stunt in the yard and work on our flexibility,” she said. “And he’s a great dad.”

Josie mentioned that Michael is a supportive and dedicated father who never misses one of her cheer competitions. 

What a terrific example of an incredible and loving father! Those two young girls will remember for the rest of their lives the memories their father created with them while cheering.

In the first clip, we witness Sally Webster doing the fastest zipline in the world with confidence. She is an 85-year-old nursing home resident from Wales. She shares afterwards that she would do the zipline again. Next, is an 81-year-old skateboarder from Japan who began boarding at 79. He picked it up quickly and has been able to enjoy the ramps with the younger participants. Then, an adorable couple decides to go sledding. The attempt did not turn out how they expected, so the great-grandma decides to roll down the snowy hill.

We also see a video of Chuck Branskey, who is 96-years-old, dancing the floss to Dean Martin. Afterwards, a 94-year-old named Gracie is seen graduating and receiving her high school degree. She dropped out at age 16 to get married and worked as a school bus driver for many years, now she has a diploma. Then, we view Joel, a car man. He loves to cruise in his convertible. Lastly, we see a group of senior citizens recreating Rihanna’s Super Bowl halftime show. The women are adorable. The group shares about how they are active at their home and love to dance. Watching them brings joy to our faces as we witness fun times and people living life to the fullest.

Even though some people might look down on the elderly, the Bible makes it clear that God values them and they are to be respected and still have a beautiful purpose. It is a blast watching these older people live their dreams.

“And I will still be carrying you when you are old. Your hair will turn gray, and I will still carry you. I made you, and I will carry you to safety.” Isaiah 46:4

Check out this traffic stop video that led to doctors discovering a brain tumor after a woman was pulled over for erratic driving! It’s an odd one!

Notice the red car traveling in the passing lane. While it may not be going at an extremely high rate of speed, there are no stalls or slowdowns on the highway, and the car is moving at least as fast as others on the road. However, it isn’t the speed that is the concern. It’s the fact that the car collides with the curb and median multiple times. It even looks like it might cross into another lane on the driver’s side or the lane going in the opposite direction! The driver’s blinker is also on as if to indicate a lane change, but she never makes one. 

The video skips to the point at which the driver is standing outside the car and being questioned by South Carolina police officers. They ask her if she has been drinking, because this is their suspicion. They believe that she is driving impaired or drunk. She says that she has had a couple cups of tea, and it’s almost as if she doesn’t understand what they are asking.

When specifically asked about alcohol, the woman says that she’s had none. In fact, she says she doesn’t drink alcohol “anymore.” She has an accent, so English may not be her first language. But, her response seems honest to the officers, and, when she talks about taking pain relievers for her headache, they decide to call an ambulance. 

While the incident probably didn’t feel fortuitous at the time, that officers’ decision was a lucky break for the lady and an example of good instincts on the part of law enforcement. Most of all, it was a gift from God, our protector!

When the driver arrived at the hospital, doctors located a brain tumor! The “crazy” lady driver endured an 8-hour medical procedure, and her life was saved!

Had that traffic stop not happened, she might have killed herself and others on the road. Or, she might not have learned that she had a brain tumor in time to treat it. But, it did, and she was restored! 

Months after the stop, the not crazy lady driver located the officers who detained her that day, and she thanked them for their intervention.   

“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones God’s messengers! How often I have wanted to gather your children together as a hen protects her chicks beneath her wings, but you wouldn’t let me.” Luke 13:34

One woman, a star of stage and screen who has experienced a long and successful career, recalls where she first discovered her talents.

God endows everyone with different gifts, talents, skills and interests. However, sometimes uncovering those special skills and talents can be difficult. But other times, He provides the perfect opportunity to use and refine those gifts. 

Broadway star Kristin Chenoweth, in an interview on The Today Show, described how she got started singing in church as a child growing up in Oklahoma.

“God was a huge part of my life and how I found my gift was through church music,” Kristin said. 

She also added that she first began as a member of the children’s choir in her church but wanted to do more. She wanted to be a member of the adult choir as a child. So, she auditioned for a solo and got the part. 

Kristin added that she enjoys singing for all faiths, which she says gives her the opportunity to spread the message of God’s joy and love.

“I love to sing for all kinds of faiths because I believe that we worship a God who is loving,” she said. “And if I can spread that joy, as much as I can, then I’m going to try because that was one of the things God told me when I was a little girl.”

Later in the interview, she mentioned that God also pushed her to talk publicly about an extremely personal part of her life because of what it may do for others.

“I remember, Savannah, even talking about my adoption and I’d just started talking about it recently,” she said. “Because I got the impression on my heart: ‘This will help other people.’”

Near the end of the clip, Kristin talked about forgiving others and the power of God’s grace.

“I’ve started forgiving people that I feel have hurt me 'cause I’m the one that’s hurting and that’s God’s grace,” she said. “He says, ‘See my child, if you’d have done this the whole time, you wouldn’t have carried that on your journey.”

James 5:13 “Is any among you suffering? Let him pray. Is any cheerful? Let him sing praise.”

One bride received quite a shock when she was treated to a performance by an actual Disney princess on her big day.

The Walt Disney Company has produced dozens of beloved and classic films. Besides Mickey Mouse, the most well-known Disney characters are their princesses. Snow White, Belle, Cinderella, Mulan and Ariel are just a few of these princess characters that have a special place in the memories and hearts of many people.

During her wedding reception, a bride, sitting on a chair in the center of the room next to her husband, is asked an odd question: “What is your favorite Disney movie?” She responds by saying, “The Little Mermaid.”

What happens next absolutely leaves the bride stunned. The expression on her face is priceless. The man did not even have to name the woman on his arm. The bride instantly knew it was Jodi Benson, the woman who voiced Ariel in the film.

But this once-in-a-lifetime moment became even better. Jodi sang “Part of Your World,” the iconic song from the beloved animated film. Before her performance, Jodi said this was her first time singing at a wedding that did not involve someone in her family. 

As the music begins and Jodi starts singing, the bride instantly begins tearing up. It’s a treasured and cherished part of her childhood that has come to life.

A television screen in the room even plays the scene from the film where Ariel sings “Part of Your World.” 

The bride, still in shock, mouths the song along with Jodi, every single word. The bride’s joy and utter happiness throughout the video are evident and unbelievably sweet. 

The clip ends with a photo of the bride as a child wearing a shirt with Ariel.

Being sung to by Ariel is something the bride will remember for the rest of her life!

One musician is putting the instruments and the microphone down for good and instead will focus his energy and efforts on more faith-based activities.

Following God and being a disciple of His often requires a fair amount of faith. Sometimes the Lord can push us in a direction, onto an unknown road, where the future is more than a little murky and unclear. Stepping out in blind trust and obedience to God’s calling is often scary and filled with uncertainty. 

Country music singer Granger Smith announced on Instagram that he is giving up music and will now pursue the ministry. The “Backroad Song” singer said that his tour this summer will be his “last ever tour.”

He said that his final tour, which will go through Labor Day, is going to be all about his fans and will give him the opportunity to say thank you.

He added that God placed a “strong desire to pursue ministry" in his heart. Granger said he and his family will pour into their local church. Granger will also be learning from his local church leaders. 

He mentioned that he has “been attending seminary” at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Granger called this period in his life a “time of learning and growing.”

Later in the video, Granger stated that he got to the point where he could not continue working in the music industry, performing on stage and serving the Lord. He could not do both. So, he made a decision for the Lord.

In the video, Granger specifically mentions reading Mark 8:34, in which Jesus instructs the crowd and His disciples that anyone who follows Him must “deny himself and take up His cross.” He called performing on stage, seeking personal adulation and praise from the crowd and attending seminary, pursuing ministry a “contradiction.”

Granger ended the video by stating how excited he is to be answering God’s call on his heart.

“You can see what a life change this is for me and how hard it is and yet so exciting,” Granger said. “And I’m so hopeful about this future and about what, what it holds for me and my family.”
