Caridad, music by Ezekiel du Bois

Caridad is from a collection of four pieces I was inspired to write very reminiscent of our ministry to the frontier farmers and villagers in Columbia, South America where we lived for six months.

Each evening after the days work the people would bring out their native instruments relax by playing a local game of sorts consisting of a clay mound, pitching pebbles at pieces of paper to knock them off. There would always be a little three piece harpa group with a small handmade harp, an old guitar and a primitive fiddle like instrument.

The songs were so happy and filled the air with mirth mingled in the air with the sweet fragrance of papayas and mangoes as the crimson sun was setting.

Liberation, Music from “Journeys Through The Beautiful Place”

In this track I express the unspeakable freedom I experienced in my travels in Heaven with Jesus. The freedom from anxiety, the pure joy, the ease of everything, and the harmony of all the creatures with their Creator, I tried to capture in this track.

The album ‘Journeys Through The Beautiful Place’ reflects the marvelous beauties of Heaven and the playful nature of our Lord Jesus. On our travels through Heaven together, we swam, played in the surf, soared through the air, swung through the forest on vines and rested together in a hammock.

The playful and restful nature of the Lord is beyond our comprehension. If there is any one thing He desires for His Bride in Heaven, it is complete and unadulterated happiness and fulfillment, especially in her love relationship with her Heavenly Spouse.

Round the bend was inspired by my husband’s experience when he came in a long boat, down the river of life and around a bend to a palace…a work of art dedicated to one of His Brides.

In our travels together He continually did childlike things with me, playful and fun things, taking away all my fears and resting me in the pleasures of innocence.

I hope these songs reflect His joyful and playful nature towards us and that He comes to visit you in your reveries as you listen to this album. We pray for that.

Endless Embrace, Music from “Journeys Through The Beautiful Place”

This was a really special piece because it was all so spontaneous and I felt like the Lord was playing the piano keys. Other people who heard it being played really sensed the presence of the Holy Spirit. I just sat back and marveled.

When it was done, I felt like the Lord had given me a gift in this music. This may sound really silly, but the piece reminds me very much of the scene from Superman returns, where Lois Lane puts her feet on his and he takes her up into the night sky and allows her to hear the people crying out for help down below on the earth. In any case it reminds me of them ascending together.

Perhaps this piece is reminiscent of the Rapture soon to come. All I know is that I feel very much that the Lord is embracing His Bride in an endless embrace, one that will last through all eternity.
