Listen to these talented high school musicians play ‘O Holy Night.’
“O Holy night! The stars are brightly shining, it is the night of our dear Savior's birth
Long lay the world in sin and error pining 'til He appears and the soul felt its worth
A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices, for yonder breaks a new and glorious morn
Fall on your knees; O hear the Angel voices! O night divine, O night when Christ was born
O night, O Holy night, O night divine!”
The two boys in the video are playing the cello and the piano and they are from Fountainview Academy. This school is a Christian high school based in southern British Columbia, Canada.

As the music fills the snowy field, you cannot help but feel a beautiful sense of peace. They must have been cold when filming this but, wow, it sure does look beautiful!
After the two musicians finish playing the song, the camera takes an aerial shot of the magical snowy scene and then the shot fades to black. What incredible music and videography!

Oh, why? 'Cause that's Christmas to me”

In Colossians 3:23, we learn about doing all things as if we are working for God. It means no matter how big or small, everything we do like tucking a child in at night or singing a song can glorify God. This includes a blind boy with Autism, Christopher Duffley, singing his song, “It’s Been You.”
Grab a tissue and be prepared for joyful tears as you see God work through Christopher. He learned how to sing before he ever held a conversation. Born at 26 weeks, he was premature and then abandoned by his parents after it was discovered he was blind. His aunt found him in foster care and took on the task of raising him. Later, she discovered he had autism.
He didn’t speak until first grade but he didn’t just learn how to talk, he learned to sing. When Christopher began to sing, it was discovered he had perfect pitch. Over the years, he began singing professionally.
Now that he is a young adult, he is grateful to his aunt for raising him as her own. This young man revealed that he is filled with wisdom and humility as he put together a song that talks about his transition from a teen to a young adult.
The song talks about how he feels like he needs his parents now more than ever. With lyrics like, “Who’s going to tuck me in at night? Who’s going to say a little prayer?” He says he wrote it because, “It’s the small things that parents do that are not seen or thought about.”
Christopher knows what a gift his parents are. He also knows that transitioning from a teen to a young adult is tough too.
Well done Christopher! Thank you for the reminder that we are all God’s creation. We all have a purpose to glorify God in all that we do. He created each of us unique and different, yet we all are made in his image.
“And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not to men;” Colossians 3:23
