Candace Cameron Bure had an inspiring take on hearing the word “no.” The actress, author, and podcast host shared how she responded when she was told no in her life. Watch the short clip to hear the encouraging and powerful way Candace has reacted whenever she encounters an obstacle.

It requires a fair amount of persistence and perseverance to accomplish anything and to get anywhere in life. Whether it’s personal or professional, there will be a lot of ups and downs. Many of those obstacles will come from people, naysayers who say something is impossible. They will say why this or that cannot be done, or they will simply respond with “no” and move along.

“No” is a word everyone is familiar with. Although it may only be two letters, hearing it can be soul-crushing, depending on the situation. In a clip posted on YouTube, Candace shares the unique way she has handled it when someone told her no in her life. Instead of allowing the harsh, straightforward response to keep her down, she has turned those situations into opportunities.

“We have figured out solutions to a lot of nos in my life and my career,” she said. “And so, people have shut that door and said, ‘No, that would never work. We’ve never done that before.’ And we come back and go, ‘Great, you’ve never done that before. Let us show you a way in which we can do that.’”

Later in the clip, Candace added that when someone responds negatively and states something is impossible for whatever reason, we should remember that we serve a mighty, all-powerful God capable of anything.

“And so, it’s a good lesson for all of you guys,” she said. “Don’t take a no at face value, and if someone tells you, like, ‘No, it’s never been done.’ Well, it doesn’t mean God can’t do that for you, and God can’t do it differently through you.”

A barber’s gentle approach to a young man with autism touches hearts. The man went at a pace that was comfortable and to the young man’s liking, never pushing him any further than he wanted to go. The world is often a scary, sad and cruel place. Have a glance at the evening news or spend five minutes on any popular social media platform, and you’ll quickly come to the same conclusion. Sadly, people have the ability to inflict immeasurable pain and suffering upon one another.

Undoubtedly, love, kindness and patience are in short supply today. Many people say they desire to improve the world and make it a better place, so why don’t they? Why not start by being kinder, more loving and patient with those in our spheres of influence? That is precisely what one barber did in a clip posted on YouTube.

The clip begins with the barber approaching the young man, Kyson. From his initial reaction, it’s clear that this is an entirely new experience for him, and he’s terrified. However, the barber remains calm, cool and understanding throughout the process.

The barber talks to the young man the whole time, trying to understand what makes him so afraid and uneasy. Anytime something arises that upsets Kyson, the barber slows things down and patiently reassures him.

Eventually, the little guy feels comfortable enough to hop into the chair and is coaxed into getting his haircut. While cutting the young man’s hair, the barber starts conversing with him, asking if they are now friends.

Later, the clip shows Kyson’s second visit to the barbershop, during which the barber demonstrates the same level of kindness, love and patience.

“That’s the gift when you’re like, when you see him transition from being terrified to just trusting, you know?” the kind and understanding barber says.

A quick-thinking 6-year-old saved his grandmother’s life after she fell into a diabetic coma. The brave little guy knew exactly what to do during the scary emergency and stepped up in a big way. Watch the short but powerful clip to hear what the child did that saved his grandmother’s life.

One could easily describe life as a series of unpredictable events. Anyone who says they know, with 100 percent certainty, what the future holds is either a liar, insane or likely a little of both. We don’t know what will happen in five minutes from now, let alone in five years. Sure, we can have vague, general ideas of how things might play out, but we will never know for sure.

Part of life’s unpredictability means that emergencies can and do occur. The best thing we can do for them is to be prepared and know what to do in case they happen. Even then, we can’t be sure how we’ll react when placed in that situation and when facing those circumstances. A clip posted on social media tells of a young man who stepped up in a big way when he found himself in an emergency. His actions saved the life of his grandmother.

Nolan Accoo was spending time with his grandmother, playing on his iPad as grandma sat nearby watching television. Unfortunately, their quiet night was disrupted because that’s when disaster struck. The child’s grandmother went into a diabetic coma.

However, just days before this happened, Nolan’s father sat him down and explained what he should do if a situation like this were to occur. Instead of freezing at the moment and allowing fear to keep him from acting, Nolan did just as instructed. He got her some juice, and then, when the paramedics arrived at the apartment, he let them in to tend to his grandmother.

“I just thank God because if he wasn’t there, I don’t know how that would have ended,” Nolan’s grandmother said.

A protective herd springs into action to shield a baby elephant from an intruder. A group of older elephants wasted no time coming to the defense of a much smaller elephant. A short clip posted on social media shows how a group of elephants responded when they believed one of their own was under attack. The 33-second clip begins with a baby elephant chasing off a goose that had somehow found its way into the elephant pen. As the elephant runs after the bird, it makes a noise, possibly a signal to the other elephants. Likely, the noise from the tiny elephant was some kind of sign that it was in distress, especially when considering what happened next.

Three other massive, full-grown elephants came to the youngster’s defense. The first one on the scene, possibly the mother, somewhat roared, most likely trying to scare away the uninvited winged guest. The three elephants then proceeded to form a circle around the small elephant. They were doing what they could to keep the youngest member of their herd safe.

A community has come together to support an 80-year-old man still working to pay medical bills. The elderly gentleman continues to go to work because of a promise he made to his late wife. Retirement is a lifelong goal for most people. That time when someone can kick back and relax and not have to worry about going to a 9-to-5 is a period many people dream about. When someone reaches the point where they no longer have to work, it is no wonder that they are often said to be in their “golden years.”

Sadly, though, not everyone can afford to retire. For one reason or another, a lot of people have to continue working even at an advanced age. However, someone in their 80s or 90s shouldn’t have to work. We were created for more than simply working until we drop dead. That’s exactly what one woman thought when she saw Gary Saling bagging groceries, and she decided to do something.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Gary explains that his wife Carol developed and later died from a form of dementia. However, he explains that he made a promise to her when she was sick: he would not put her in a nursing home but would instead keep her at their home. He turned to bagging groceries to help pay off the thousands in medical bills owed.

Duana Johnson saw the kind and gentle elderly man working at the supermarket and decided to do something.

“I saw Gary bagging groceries, and I thought, ‘What’s this guy? Why’s this elderly man still here?’” she asked.

The woman who is the head of a ministry in her Utah town started a donation account at a bank on behalf of Gary.

“So, we started a fundraiser, and people have been messaging saying that they, they see him all the time,” she said. “And they really love him. He’s always nice. He’s always kind. He’s always, like, you know, greeting them and smiling.”

A class immediately erupted in cheers following a student’s life-changing announcement. The youngsters were beyond thrilled for their classmate and wasted no time expressing their excitement and happiness. Life is often not a fair or fun experience. That is especially true when someone comes down with a life-threatening medical condition. These are never easy circumstances, but they become exponentially more challenging and gut-wrenching when the patient is a child. No one ever wants to see a child suffer. Sadly, that is a situation that is all too familiar.

However, while it’s human nature to immediately jump to and envision the worst possible conclusion whenever someone mentions cancer, people do and can beat that horrible disease. A clip posted on social media shows a young man who was battling cancer informing his young classmates that he is now cancer-free.

In the video, the young man is captured quickly walking through the halls. It’s almost like he’s a man on a mission, ready to tell everyone possible about his good news, and why should he be? Cancer is an awful, horrible thing, and whenever it is defeated, it should be shared widely and celebrated.

As the little guy entered the auditorium, he was greeted with enthusiastic cheers and applause. His mere presence was enough to send his classmates wild, but the best was still yet to come.

While standing at the front of the room, an adult informs the youngsters sitting on the ground that Braxton wanted to stop by and share some important news with them.

“I’m cancer-free,” the young man says proudly.

The students erupt into cheers and applause, loving the news that they have just heard that their beloved classmate has defeated cancer.

What an absolutely beautiful announcement and reaction!

A dedicated and determined husband completely dismantled their car to recover his wife’s lost wedding ring. Nothing would stop or stand in his way in the search for his wife’s wedding band. One’s wedding day is easily one of the best days of their life. It’s the day when two people in love make a lifelong commitment to one another in front of God and their friends and family to stick it out and remain by each other’s side regardless of what life may throw their way. Of course, there are many ways to keep and preserve the memories made on that special day, during that ceremony. Photos and videos are just two ways in which the moments on that special day can be forever captured, looked back upon and cherished. However, the wedding ring is likely the most important sign and memento from that all-important, life-changing day.

So, that’s why whenever someone loses or momentarily misplaces their wedding ring, they immediately get that awful feeling in the pit of their stomach. That was a feeling Jessica Foster likely felt when she lost her wedding ring in her and her husband’s BMW. However, her husband, Geno, was not going to be stopped. He was going to find that ring and actually took apart their car to find it.

In the video posted on YouTube, Geno is seen digging through what remains of his BMW. He has removed everything from it, leaving only the frame.

Eventually, Geno found what he was looking for: the ring between two pieces of carpet near the vehicle’s center console.

“I just knew I had to do whatever it takes to find the ring,” he said. “I wasn’t going to stop looking for it.”

Comedic legend Carol Burnett has shared her favorite role from The Carol Burnett Show. She did not hesitate in the slightest when she was asked to name the character she liked playing the most on the classic television program. In a clip posted on YouTube, the legendary comedian, in an interview from 1995, was asked to name her favorite character she played on the show. Without hesitation, Carol replied to the question with Eunice from The Mama’s Family skits. As she explains, it had nothing to do with the laughs she would inevitably get while playing that character, but more to do with the character itself.

“I think it was Eunice,” Carol said. “She started out as such a witch. She was just horrible, and then, as it developed, you could understand where her rage was coming from. It was this mother and feeling trapped and her dreams of being a movie star. Of course, were, you know, ridiculous.”

Later in the clip, Carol mentions how Eunice always wanted to be something else and was constantly striving for more.
