Australian DrillDance Routine Is Simply Mesmerizing

Holy schnikeys, this Australian drilldance routine is mesmerizing! Try as you might, you will be hard-pressed to find even the hint of a misstep in the performance!

In America, there are dance teams and drill teams, but Australia appears to have combined the two into a single sport, and this group, named Enigma, has mastered it!

Most people have been in or watched a child participate in cheerleading, marching band, flag corp (color guard), dance team, show choir, or similar activity in which precision and timing are critical. Those are the events where the slightest lack of synchronicity or the failure to remember each beat in a sequence costs points in the competition. They aren’t for the lazy!

But Enigma has chosen their name wisely! This group of gals, festooned and fixed-up flamingos in boots, are quite a mystery! They look more like soldiers—even robots—than a group of young ladies. Enigma exhibits absolute consistency and uniformity in their hairstyles, facial expressions, and steps. And there are lots of different types of steps!

Enigma marches in the traditional fashion, and they do a goose step. They walk quickly and slowly. Though not the technical term, they do a sort of slide step at 1:45, and there is a fancy little toe step at 2:45. That’s also not the correct name. They move backward, forwards, sideways, and diagonally, add arm movements and salutes, and create intricate formations. Imagine the discipline and hours of practice required!

The group of 15, representing South Australia, won gold at the 2022 Australia DrillDance Championships. The Omaha School of Music and Dance published a blog post about the ways in which music and math are related. One of those four is the fact that both use patterns. With that in mind, I’m betting these amazing drill dancers are excellent math students, too!

So often, we pursue individual goals and solo endeavors. And while those reflect wonderful American values, Australia’s Enigma has provided an exceptional example of a collective effort!

“Their purpose is to teach people wisdom and discipline, to help them understand the insights of the wise.” Proverbs 1:2

Joyce Meyer Reminds Us That God Doesn't Make Mistakes

Joyce Meyer reminds us that God doesn’t make mistakes.

We’re living in a broken world, and we’re wondering if we’re the problem. We feel defeated, corrupted, and afraid everyone else is going to learn our little secret: we’re a mistake. But that’s not true.

Joyce shares she felt like God had somehow made a mistake when he created her. She felt less than and unworthy after years of abuse. She felt imperfect and useless after she came to know Christ as her savior.

That’s when the joy of the Lord began to bloom in her heart. Joyce began to set her mind on the truth of God’s word instead of the terrible messages she told herself. She said, “Let me tell you something. It is amazingly freeing when you come to the point of saying, “God loves me. I’m his child.

I’m not an accident. He created me. He has a purpose for me, and maybe other people have spent their whole lives trying to destroy me. But God, he is my healer, and I am on my way back.”

Isn’t that incredible? If only we could believe that. Sometimes it’s hard to stand on God’s word when it feels like the world is against us. Thank goodness for God’s mercy and strength. He lends it to us when we are at the end of our rope. Joyce shares facts about what God says about all of his beloved children.

We are not mistakes. We are not frauds. We are loved and worthy because God doesn’t make mistakes. He created each of us perfectly.

Let’s take a moment to pray. “Father God, when I am feeling insecure, help me to be secure in you. When I feel like I am a mistake, remind me that I am perfect because you created me. When I am feeling down, help me to lean in on your strength and stand on your truths. Amen.”

“I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well,” Psalm 139:14

Tim McGraw Helps Dad Dying Of Cancer Record Song For His Daughters

A father, who has been diagnosed with terminal cancer, wants to make the most of the time he has left with his children, which includes recording a song with country music superstar Tim McGraw for his daughters.

Cancer is a terrible, horrible, awful disease that does nothing but destroys and causes harm. After being diagnosed with terminal brain cancer in 2022, Michael Hugo knew he wanted to create memories with and for his daughters.

One of the things Michael wanted to do was to record a duet with Tim to his song “My Little Girl.” Michael plans for the recording to be played at his daughters' weddings.

So, he posted a video online reaching out to Tim, in which he stated that “whether I’m here or not, one of my, one of my dreams is to be with my, my little girls for their wedding and be there with the dance, dancing with them.”

Michael added that “and if I’m not there, at least I can be part of that.”

After Michael’s request was posted online, Tim, who lost his father to a similar type of cancer, reached out and made the duet happen for Michael and his children!

Tim expressed to Michael and his family how much being able to help them meant to him.

"I’m just glad that I can be here for you guys,” Tim said. “This is like a highlight for me in my career.”

In addition to the wedding duet video recording for his daughters, Michael has also been doing other things to ensure he’s still present in his daughters’ lives after he’s gone.

“What I’ve been trying to do, as much as possible, is give my children all the life lessons I can in a short amount of time,” Michael said. “You know, 30 years of life lessons. And you know, I write birthday cards for their 21st birthday. I have things like that to try to let them know I love them.”

What a beautiful clip that reminds us that life is precious and that every minute with our children and our parents is to be treasured.

Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

10-Year-Old Performs ‘The National Anthem’ And 1 Man Wipes Away Tears

One young man’s rendition of our country’s national anthem was so moving that it caused a grown man to become emotional.

“The Star-Spangled Banner” is a song that likely means different things to different people. Whether your family has a history of dedicated military service, you’re a veteran yourself or you’re a first or second-generation American, those lyrics hold a special meaning to many.

The national anthem is also a song that can cause many people to shed tears.

Given the immense importance of our country’s national anthem, it’s either played or sung before many notable events. One video posted to YouTube shows a young man, 10-year-old Jadon Perez, singing “The Star-Spangled Banner” prior to a golf tournament.

Jadon, wearing a Buccaneers jersey and with a microphone in hand, begins belting out the lyrics of “The Star-Spangled Banner.” Right from the get-go, it’s clear this child has a ton of talent. His singing is terrific, giving the crowd a beautiful version of our nation’s anthem.

One man was so touched and moved by the young man’s performance that near the end of the short, 2-minute clip, a man brushes away tears from his right eye.

However, the stakes were raised considerably before Jadon breathed a single note into the microphone. A man on the public address system announced that 10-year-old Jadon Perez would be singing the national anthem.

However, during his spiel, the man states that young Jadon impressed him thoroughly during rehearsal so much that he mentions Jadon should try out for a popular singing competition.

“And I heard him in the warmup earlier and I have to tell you, some of you guys, who know me, know me a little bit, besides working with the Arians, we work on the TV show The Voice on NBC,” the man says. “And I want him to come try out for The Voice. That’s how good this little boy is.”

Jadon rose to the occasion and delivered a moving performance, showing the crowd that he has been blessed with a dazzling singing voice!

Psalm 104:33 “I will sing to the Lord as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.”

Do you Believe in Miracles? Because I do.

Family And Friends Surprise Wedding Couple With 'Stand By Me' Serenade

Weddings are emotional occasions where lifelong memories are created and one couple was the recipient of an unforgettable, touching moment from those in attendance.

A wedding ceremony is a joyous and serious time when two people come together and promise before God and their guests that they will love, honor and cherish one another. The couple also indicates that they understand life together will not always be pleasant but pledge to stick it out and stand by the other.

At one wedding, the bride and groom weren’t the only people who promised to stay together through thick and thin. As the video posted on YouTube shows, the guests surprised the happy couple with a melodic display of their commitment to the newlyweds.

The man officiating the wedding of Jackson and Allison tells the happy couple to turn and face their attendees. He explains how those witnessing their ceremony are their family and “will always stand by” them.

After those words, a man in the front row stands up and begins singing Ben E. King’s 1960s classic “Stand by Me.”

The couple is obviously surprised as the bride asks, “What’s going on?”

Next, a woman, a few rows back, stands up and begins singing the song. She is then followed by a third man who stands and starts belting out the lyrics to the song about commitment and love.

Seconds later, the officiant begins strumming on a guitar. All the guests are then singing “Stand by Me.” It was a beautiful and wonderful moment that caught the groom and bride off guard.

Several people then come forward to the front of the room, standing only a few feet away from the couple.

What a unique moment and a lovely show of devotion and support for the husband and wife as they head down life’s road together.

Proverbs 16:3 “Commit your walks to the Lord, and your thoughts shall be established.”

Dude Perfect Creator Tyler Toney On God, Fast Fame and Strains on Marriage

Money, fame and millions of followers on social media do not automatically make for a happy, fulfilling life. Instead, as one video points out, it can be quite the opposite.

Dude Perfect is a massively popular YouTube channel, with 59 million people subscribed to the account. The channel is made up of hundreds of videos that have racked up millions and millions of views.

Most videos on the channel feature the guys attempting and usually successfully completing insane trick shots. However, in a video for the “I Am Second” series, one of the channel’s creators, Tyler Toney, and his wife Bethany, explained why the fame, opportunities and followers became a burden to them and their marriage.

In the video, Tyler  begins by explaining that the idea for the channel actually originated from a group of guys he met during a college Bible study in 2009.

Soon after putting their first video on YouTube, the guys got a call from Good Morning America.

“And two days later, Good Morning America somehow got ahold of one of our phone numbers and said, ‘Hey, we would love to put your video on TV,’” Tyler said.

Then as the guys continued making more and more videos showing their impressive trick shots, additional opportunities began coming their way.

As the channel grew in popularity, Tyler wanted to quit his job and wanted to create Dude Perfect content on a full-time basis. Bethany, his wife, wasn’t on board at first.

“Naturally, I’m like, ‘No,’” Bethany said. “Because we have a mortgage and we just got married, ‘No, like, that’s, that’s so risky.’”

However, after some prodding and convincing, Bethany gave Tyler the OK to pursue Dude Perfect full-time. However, she gave him a year to make it a real job.

Bethany admits she was envious of Tyler and the Dude Perfect crew.

“He was getting to pursue his dreams,” Bethany said. “He was getting to do what he wanted to do, and I had jealousy of that.”

Bethany also mentioned the difficulties she and Tyler endured while trying to start a family. She talked about several miscarriages. She also stated that during this time, she was upset with God.

“I was so angry at God during that season of our life because I just felt God was ignoring me and that He wasn’t hearing my requests for things,” she said.

She also adds that she began to become “resentful” of her husband because of everything he was doing in his career and that she was at home in pain, struggling with loss.

Tyler, in the video, stated that he did not handle things great during this period. He said he put more emphasis on Dude Perfect and those opportunities than on Bethany during this time.

Tyler and Bethany did eventually get pregnant and had two children. At the time, Bethany found out that she was pregnant again. However, Tyler spent a lot of time away from home, working on Dude Perfect.

“So, instead of being excited about that pregnancy, like I should have been, it devastated me,” Bethany said. “Because all I could see was this is just another child I’m gonna have to take care of by myself.”

Their marriage was not in a good place.

Tyler, after many difficult and stormy days in his marriage, realized that he needed a relationship with Christ. He knew he needed to step up and become a spiritual leader for his household.

He formed a men’s Bible study group, which he mentioned, meets weekly at his house on Thursdays.

Things in their marriage have since improved, Bethany reports.

“Tyler just puts Christ at the center of everything in our family now,” Bethany said. “And whereas before he didn’t do that. And so, it’s just been, he’s a whole new person. I remember telling my mom, ‘I feel like I’m married to a new person.”’

Ephesians 5:25 “Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church and gave himself for it;”
