Although secular everytime I heard this song I associated the "you" with my Heavenly Father - Thank You Lord for being there & teaching me to turn to You in ALL things!

This triumphant hymn exalts the Lord for his works of creation and his graciousness to his people. It is based on Psalm 8 and comes from the Psalter of 1912. Mr. Joseph Waggoner, Ruling Elder, leads the congregation of First Presbyterian Church (OPC) in Perkasie, PA during the Sunday worship service of July 8, 2012. Mrs. Rebekah Waggoner accompanies on the piano, and Rev. R. Scott MacLaren is the pastor.

Praise the Lord as The Oak Ridge Boys perform the classic hymn ‘Where The Soul Never Dies.’ The song was written by William Matthew Golden, most likely during his 8-year stint in prison. Over a 100 years later, countless artists have put their own spin on the iconic tune including Ricky Skaggs and Willie Nelson.

The words remind us that there is hope in the Name of the Lord and we will all be reunited with our Father in Heaven, one glorious day.

The Oak Ridge Boys are known for their unique blend of country music and gospel. This iconic group consists of Duane Allen singing lead vocals, Joe Bonsall singing tenor, William Lee Golden with his baritone voice, and Richard Sterban singing deep bass. They all joined the group at different times, but this particular lineup of men have been together since 1973.

Today, we’re taking a look back at one of the group’s classic performances as they belt out the iconic words to ‘Where The Soul Never Dies.’
