What would you say to an offer of an Abundant Life filled with good things that no one could ever take from you? Jesus offers just that. There’s just one catch. You have to give up your life. Which do you want? The life you planned or The Life Your Creator has specially designed for you?
Most every fear we have leads to the big fear — the fear of death. Even as we are describing Heaven in glowing terms, we are trying very hard not to leave earth. Everybody wants to go heaven, but nobody wants to die. Hebrews 2:14-15 tells us Jesus came to free those who were held in slavery all their lives by their fear of death. Watch and be free of the fear!
Jesus gave a very significant clue about how to understand the real meaning of being born again. He said what is born of flesh is flesh. What is born of Spirit is Spirit. So to understand being born again spiritually, we need to remember what it was like to be born the first time in the flesh. Today we take a field trip to the womb!
Jesus said if we want to see God’s Kingdom, we just have to do one thing. But how to do that one thing may be different from anything you have been taught. Let’s start with a simple question. When did your life begin?
With all the different identities in the world, especially through technology, movies…superheroes and so on, believers in Christ need to understand who they are in Christ Jesus.
