This is a book written and narrated by Dimitri about his Great Uncle. Gus was a WW2 B-24 pilot and flew missions over the dangerous part of the Himalayan mountains called "The Hump". Dimitri wrote his story for school last year (Jan. 2011). Gus was alive when this was written but sadly he passed away on Jan. 3, 2012. I thought this was a fitting tribute to him.
