I absolutely adore Reckless Love of God by Cory Asbury! I feel every word as I sing this song and a sense of relief fills me. I wanted to do a cover to show the power of God's reckless love and the fact that he will do anything including leaving the 99 to find us again. I've always found the blues a great medium for singing about the gospel - I guess it's a good vehicle for the journey from being lost to finding redemption. I recorded this on an album called Trust in the early 1990s. This live version is from Godsong Cafe, a Christian music show on Shine TV in New Zealand.

I put them to music quite a few years ago as they spoke to me about the surrender which Jesus asks us to make to him. A lot of people respond to this song, both believers & others.
