Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ:

It has been five long years since we posted this video and since that time over 5,000 folks have viewed this page and some 3,300 have viewed this FedCURE/PBS video. As many of you know and what we have learned, many may not, Congress abandoned parole for all federal offenses committed after 01 November 1987. FedCURE co-authored the last three federal parole and good time allowance bills in the 108th, 109th and 111th Congress with Rep. Danny Davis (D-ILL). In five years since, the federal inmate population has grown from 200,000 to 220,000. Our goal is to reduce the inmate population and recidivisim by half.

To this end, FedCURE continues its work, speaking and educating in all corners, to enact the BARBER AMENDMENT ~ legislation to establish a hybrid system of parole and increased good time allowances; repeal mandatory minimum sentences; fast track compassionate release for terminally ill inmates; restore PELL grants; and develop 'White House Faith-Based Neighborhood Partnerships Reentry Programs,' for all federal offenders; and promote a system that incarcerates fewer people and provides humane conditions for those who are incarcerated or under post-incarceration supervision via parole or supervised release.

In the mist of a devastated community residence of St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana representing more than ten churches came together for a night of corporate prayer to cry out to God on behalf of their land and those running for political office. What makes this historical is the fact that pre-Katrina this type of meeting never occurred, nor would anyone have considered such a coalition of African-American, Hispanic and Caucasian churches coming together. Enhancing this event is the fact that on Saturday residence of St. Bernard will vote in the first major election since Hurricane Katrina hit the Parish. The Christian unity in this storm ravaged community should be inspirational to believers everywhere.

Adrian freely received $100 at the 6pm service at REVOLUTION Church, Lakewood, CA and accepted the challenge of freely giving it away to impact his world. He was inspired to purchase, make, and distribute food to the homeless as well as purchase flowers for the terminally ill at a neighborhood clinic. Watch and enjoy this inspirational story!

On June 24, 2002, a chartered bus contracted by Metro Church from Garland, Texas, was headed to Louisiana State University for church camp. At 9:10 a.m. outside of Terrell, Texas, it veered off the highway crashing into a concrete bridge support pillar, ripping the bus in two and killing the driver and four teenagers. Terri De Shazo-Arnett’s son, Jeremy, was a p##!enger. Thrown outside of the bus Jeremy’s twisted and broken body lay motionless while emergency crews gave attention to others, believing he was dead.
