Daily Pulse: Matthew 5:38-42 "You have heard that it was said, 'Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.' But I tell you, Do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also."
Why should you give your life to Christ? Because He gave His life for you first. Dr. Swanson concludes his talk on What Is Worth Our Life with some illustrations of the love that Christ has for us and the sacrificed He made.
Richie is one of my caregivers... Believe me, I am so humbled by his amazing humility and willingness to serve. As Richie says, "God certainly gives us gifts and talents, but those are for ushering in salvation. Jesus said He came to serve not be served. And that's exactly what I want to do." Jesus said "Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth." But Jesus didn't just preach this, He actually demonstrated it by washing the disciples' feet. At Life Without Limbs we want to shine this light -- this servant's heart, this selfless spirit, the very spirit of Christ -- for everyone to see. Imagine if people truly gave up themselves and gave to others. They would not only be set free, their actions would radically change the world!
This video talks of shame that others tried to put on me because of my past of living as a lesbian, but thankfully, I have been able to not be ashamed of what Jesus has done for me!

As Christians, we are called to take a step of faith for Christ, to change ourselves, and perhaps by doing that, to change those we encounter along the way. Go and Do is an invitation for all of us to join in the adventure of God’s story arc. It is an opportunity to understand why so many are finding such satisfaction and joy in reaching out to others. It is a chance to climb on board and discover exactly what role each of us can play in actively engaging this world as we, too, “go and do.”

Days before Chad Williams was to report to military duty in Great Lakes, Illinois, he turned on a television and was greeted with the horrifying images of his mentor, US Navy SEAL Scott Helvenston, being brutally murdered on the roads of Fallujah, Iraq. Chad followed in Scott’s footsteps and completed the US military’s most difficult and grueling training to become a Navy SEAL.
Families should stay together because it’s the right thing to do! The foundation of a family starts with sticking together through thick and thin.
The most important thing to have in a family is the love of God, obeying and respecting each other. The bible says “Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table. Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the Lord… Yea, thou shalt see thy children’s children, and peace upon Israel” (Psalm 128:3-6).
What Keeps a Family Together . . . • The Love of the Lord • Communication • Respect

The fire of God destroys the things that hinder his people. It also purifies them. When believers allow mighty presence of God, his fire, to invade their lives, the evil is consumed and the good is promoted.
