When Mikayla got married, she knew she wanted to do a special dance at the wedding with her father. Joseph Solomon knows that being a Christian isn't always the easiest. And after hearing his powerful spoken word about doubting and wresting with questions for God, I was speechless. This truly spoke to my heart. There comes a time in many of our lives where we find ourselves distant from God and asking questioning. This amazing speech is the perfect reminder that God loves us through it all!
While this may be my celebration, not a single day goes by where I do not think of someone if not many who have been so courageous in their battle against cancer. Some who have lost and some who have won. I respect every choice on the weapons, therapies, (whatever you wish to call it) they chose against cancer. When you are thrown on the battlefield, man, woman or child you are forced into a place of courage and you HOPE.
I have battled it twice and know the fear. I know what it feels like to transition from fear to courage and back into fear feeling despair and then to rise up with courage again and again. Now, I sometimes say, Why me? Why am I alive when so many fought as hard as I did, if not harder? It's God's plan, and we live each day giving our best, serving others and loving one another. No day here on earth is promised but we must love one another.

A young boy with Down Syndrome has grown an enormous pumpkin – winning 1st prize at the Royal Horticultural Show in London.
Ben Ben-Eliezer, 14, lives at a Christian community called the Bruderhof in Kent. Together with his teacher, Mario, he worked all winter turning compost in preparation for growing something spectacular. But just how spectacular took everyone by surprise. By July, the pumpkin already weighed 212 pounds, and in August it was taking 600 gallons of water a week to keep it growing.
Surrounded by his school friends, Ben cut the vine on October 1st in preparation for the show. “We were worried it might be rotten or have a rat underneath” said Ben, but luckily the pumpkin was perfect.
When the big day at the show arrived, the pumpkin weighed in at 1248 pounds and won first prize! As Ben remarked “Even the judges were surprised.”

Thankfully this kitty was fine and they dropped him off at the next port.
Why are we always telling our children “NO!” --? Dr. Dobson believes that parents all-too-often fall back on what's easier for them in the moment, rather than what may be better for their kids in the long run. Loosen up a little, if that’s the case, and try to find a way to say, “YES!”
Lewis Alexander's son is a Marine serving oversesa. As a proud parent, Lewis has stickers on his car to show his support. So imagine his surprise when he went to the store and came back to find a hateful note on his car insulting his son and the military. I can't believe someone would say that.
