Someone decided they were done taking care of Pika, so they stuck her in a hole in their backyard where she lived for a year before police found and rescued her. Though her story may start sad, this sweet girl is now living her dream. She has a forever family full of furry friends and one loving human who spoils her rotten! And we gotta say, we think this little girl deserves it!

Victor's mom left him on a street corner 3 years ago and never came back. But there Victor sat, come rain or come shine, hoping his mom would return. That's when Victor met Ginger, a local chef, who saw something special in this young man and had to learn his story. When she heard his story she had to share it and now Victor's life has taken a huge step forward thanks to his incredible spirit and some help from new friends.

Dennis knows what it is like to feel alone in a school surrounded by other kids. In many high schools across the country, students sit alone and feel more isolated than at any other time in their day. So Dennis and some of his friends started a club called 'We Dine Together' where they made it their mission to just find people who looked lonely and make a new friend. Their program is spreading to other schools and their simple kindness is changing lives.

Funny mom Kristina Kuzmic never fails to keep things honest! Kristina was once a single mom struggling to make ends meet and she thought that her kids deserved better than her. It broke our hearts to hear her say that, but moms know that feeling! She has a message of encouragement that we all need to hear!

Rocco knows that his momma has really bad asthma and she taught him what to do if there was ever a bad emergency. Rocco is only 7 years old, but when his momma collapsed and couldn't breathe, he jumped into action. Hearing the 911 call and how he stayed calm is truly incredible. This little man is no doubt a hero!

We can often get wrapped up in wanting and worrying about the things that we don't have. It's so healthy to take a pause and ponder all the wonderful things that we do have. This list is a great reminder of where true happiness and contentment comes from.

This community in Kansas City has got it right with this project. They have come together to build a village of tiny houses, specifically for homeless vets. The houses are clustered to give the vets a sense of neighborhood and belonging and the organizers are also providing free PTSD counseling. What an amazing gift! We're sure that there are so many vets around our country who could benefit from a program like this. Is this an idea that you could get started in your community?

This dance therapist is having great success as he helps them reconnect with their bodies and their natural impulses to move to music. It's wonderful to hear the patients talk about rediscovering their will to live full lives!

At 91, Norma was diagnosed with terminal cancer. But instead of choosing treatment, she decided that she was going to live her last days to the absolute fullest. She piled herself into an RV with her son and daughter-in-law and they set off across the country. Norma tackled 13,000 miles of highway and 32 states and ticked off a whole bevy of bucket list items. God Bless this woman...what an amazing spirit!

Laura Hardy stubbed her toe one night and, though it hurt, she didn't think much of it. That was until she had lost all feeling in her toe and doctors realized something more serious was happening. It turns out Laura had a potentially dangerous disease that was stopping blood from making its way to her feet. Now thanks to that stubbed toe, Laura is back to being healthy!

Gavin was born blind, but his parents reminded him that that was no reason to stop going after his dreams. So Gavin started singing. When you hear this sweet little boy sing the National Anthem you'll be amazed. His story and his voice...he is truly an inspiration!
