He truly made light out of dark and spoke wonders when He created this world. He spoke to the dark and created our entire world. Our God is truly more amazing than we can ever imagine. He has given us so many blessings in our lives. We will all praise the Lord because He has saved each and every one of us. God sent His only Son to die for our sins and because of that amazing and beautiful sacrifice, we will all live out our days in Heaven above. That is a priceless gift that we can never give thanks for enough. It’s important to remember that when we put our trust in God, we are truly taken to new heights. That’s exactly what the lyrics of ‘WaveWalker’ from Citizen Way will remind you of. We have the Spirit of the Lord running through us and there is nothing that can stand in our way with Him by our side. 15-year-old Makayla Phillips has only had one dream since she was just a little girl. From the age of 3, this Canyon Lake, California native has been watching America’s Got Talent and she’s wanted to be on that stage ever since. Makayla has been practicing like crazy and now, this young girl is finally getting her chance and I think all that hard work is going to pay off big time. Even though she was a little nervous, Makayla walked on stage with a big smile and it immediately caught everyone’s attention. Then, when she started to belt out the powerful words of ‘Warrior’ by Demi Lovato, everyone was in complete awe. I can’t believe such an amazing voice came from such a young girl. It’s obvious that Makayla is passionate about performing and she definitely has the voice to back it all up. Once the song was over, one judge was over the moon for this teenager. Heidi Klum said, "I love you. I think you're absolutely incredible. I love the whole package. I love your smile. I love how you project to everyone. Your voice is incredible.” Then, Heidi stood right up and hit the coveted golden buzzer which sends Makayla straight through to the live shows. Heidi was the last person left with a golden buzzer and everyone had been waiting to see which act she would use it on. I definitely think Makayla deserves all the recognition and I can’t wait to see what type of performance she comes up with next.

18-year-old Isaiah Cormier is thanking God for his girlfriend, Juliet, after a terrifying situation that could have ended his life. Isaiah and Juliet have been dating for over two years and recently, they decided to go on a camping trip with some friends in Colorado. After hiking for the day, they returned to their campsite and noticed some light rain and thunder. That’s when everyone started to put away their belongings so that they wouldn’t get wet. Juliet had just gone into the tent when she saw a huge flash of light. When she looked outside the tent, that is when she saw her boyfriend, Isaiah, laying face down on the ground. Juliet quickly rolled him over and couldn’t find a heartbeat or hear him breathing. But Juliet had just learned CPR last month, so she put her new skills to use and started chest compressions. Thankfully, Isaiah started breathing again and they were able to call 911 and meet rescuers. Isaiah finally woke up in the back of an ambulance and had no idea what was happening. That is when first responders let him know that he was struck by lightning and Juliet has resuscitated him twice. He eventually made it to the hospital where he was treated for his injuries. “I have no permanent injuries and I’m a believer myself. I gotta give that to God.” And even though Juliet is hesitant to say that she saved Isaiah’s life, this young man is quick to thank his beautiful hero.

25-year-old Hunter Price is a country singer from Georgia. It all started when he was just 18 and his mom entered him in a karaoke contest. Hunter had a blast and since it made him happy, he kept doing it. Now, this young man is taking his talents to the America’s Got Talent stage in hopes of winning the grand prize. Hunter was confident when he stepped up to the microphone with his guitar. Then, he started to perform a cover of Bryan Adams’ hit song ‘(Everything I Do) I Do For You.’ This was a song that Hunter had performed at karaoke for years. But before he was even half-way through the song, Simon raised his hand and stopped the whole performance. He said, ‘Hunter, what you were doing was very generic.’ Simon did say that Hunter had a good voice, but he wanted to hear more from him. So that’s when this Georgia singer retuned his guitar and decided to play his second song, an original tune called ‘Left Behind.’ From the very first note, I knew that Simon made the right decision. Hunter completely transformed with this second chance performance and the audience and the judges loved every moment. Then, after the song, we learned even more about this incredible performer and it just might bring a tear to your eye. Simon truly has a way of bringing out the best in people and this audition is the perfect example. I’m so glad we’ll be seeing more of Hunter.

When you post a picture online, it becomes free for anyone to comment or remark on. And that’s exactly what happened recently to Evan Wilt when he went to enjoy a candy bar. Haley Byrd, Evan’s girlfriend, handed him a Kit-Kat bar and Evan took a bite out of the entire thing. Most people break off a piece and eat them one by one, but Evan had never had a Kit-Kat before so he just went for it. Haley had never seen anyone do this, so she immediately took a picture and posted it to Twitter. That’s when people from all over started to comment on Evan’s huge ‘mistake.’ The post went viral and Evan was Internet-shamed. Some people even called for Haley to break up with Evan over the incident. Thankfully, Haley stuck with him and this candy bar faux pas turned into the sweetest moment. After Evan became famous for his Kit-Kat bar incident, Hershey reached out to him and offered to help if Evan ever decided to propose to Haley. The candy bar company had no idea that Evan had actually been planning a proposal for a while. Hershey created a personalized ring box in the shape of a Kit-Kat for Evan to use during the special moment. With her whole family watching, Evan pulled out the 3D Kit-Kat bar and handed her the ring. They even celebrated with a candy-themed party after Haley enthusiastically said yes. I’m so glad that Evan turned this moment into something positive. How sweet of a story is this?

If you’ve been on the Internet or social media recently, you have probably seen police departments all over the country participating in a fun challenge. Police officers are performing and recording hilarious lip syncs and then tagging other departments to do the same. Recently, The Norfolk Police Department was challenged by the Corinth Police Department in Texas to record their own lip sync and it’s gone completely viral. This department truly pulled out all the stops for this one and it’s absolutely hilarious to watch. And can you believe that they did this all in one take? Just watch as they travel all over the station as more and more people join in on this lip sync to Bruno Mars’ hit ‘Uptown Funk.’ There is so much personality and energy throughout this whole number that I caught myself singing and swaying along. Then, just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, the whole crew went outside for an epic finale. I know this must’ve taken a lot of work and practice to set this all up, but they pulled it off perfectly. It looks so natural and easy for all of these men and women and it’s obvious everyone is having a great time. The Norfolk Police Department challenged a few other places, so I’m excited to see more of these funny lip syncs. Who else is looking forward to seeing more videos like this? There’s nothing better than hearing a group of people come together and join their voices in perfect harmony. A choir is such a great place to build community and spread a message of love and joy. And that’s exactly what the massive choir from California is doing with their America’s Got Talent audition. The Angel City Chorale was formed to bring people of different backgrounds all together and make something beautiful. That was the goal from the beginning and it’s happening each and every day with this talented group of men and women. The choir took their entire production to the big stage in hopes of winning the grand prize, even though no choir has ever won America’s Got Talent. But there’s something different about this group and you’ll see it as soon as the production starts. In perfect unison, these men and women use their bodies to create the sound of rain and thunder. Then, they get the whole audience to join in before they belt out the classic lyrics of ‘Africa’ from Toto. I’ve never seen a choir performance like this before. They didn’t just use their voices to create music and that’s so amazing to watch. I know this must’ve taken so much hard work and practice to pull off, but the result is absolute perfection. The Angel City Chorale easily impressed the judges and we’ll definitely be seeing them back on the big stage. Now, I’m wondering what on Earth they are going to do to top this epic performance.

There is so much power in the name of the Lord. The more we give to God, the more He shows us just how powerful and amazing He can be. He is so good and has given us so many blessings in our lives. That's exactly what the lyrics of 'Hallelujah, Our God Reigns' from Passion will remind you of. Today, we get to hear a special acoustic rendition of this beautiful song and it's absolutely amazing. I just love hearing how this song came to life as the artists discuss the story behind these powerful words. He has given us mercy when we don't deserve it and more blessings than we can count. God will truly open up our hearts to love Him even more. I am so glad that this group is singing out to our Lord in the most beautiful way. I always love when artists use their God-given talents to give praise to His name. It makes me want to join in right along with them. What a beautiful reminder that we should always have faith that our Lord will take care of us and see us through any struggles. Who else is saying amen right now?

There’s no one in our lives quite like our mother’s. Since the very beginning, our moms have cared for us and made sure that we had all the love and support that we needed. Personally, I think mothers are a gift sent down from God and they are truly such a blessing in our lives. Just like our Father in Heaven, our moms will stand beside us through the good and the bad. No one knows this more than NFL player Marquise Goodwin. Goodwin plays for the San Francisco 49ers as a wide receiver. Throughout his whole life, Goodwin’s mother has always been there for him. This year was a particularly rough year for the talented athlete. His wife suffered a miscarriage and a month later his father passed away. But through it all, his mom has been the solid rock he could lean on. That’s when he decided to do something extra special for this amazing woman. Goodwin has known for a while that he wanted to buy his mother a house. He even went a looked a used homes with her. But ultimately, he knew his mom deserved a new home and that’s exactly what he was going to get her. So, he blindfolded her and his sister Deja, who has cerebral palsy and recorded the entire moment. Just watch as Goodwin removes the blindfold and reveals the incredible surprise to the family. It’s obvious that they are overcome with joy at such an epic gift. I know there will be a lot of amazing memories made in this new home. God bless this young man!

There’s a reason that they say dogs are man’s best friend. These furry friends are more than just animals, they truly become a part of our lives and families. Some dogs even start to take on the traits and emotions of their humans. These amazing creatures are truly smarter than we ever give them credit for. Take this dog, Nacho, for instance. Nacho is an adorable boxer who fits right in with the family. In fact, he fits in so well that he acts just like another baby around the house. This funny guy even thinks that the baby’s toys and items are for him. Just watch as his owner finds Nacho hilariously sitting in the baby’s car seat. He was going to run some errands with his human and Nacho thought that he found the perfect seat in the entire vehicle. He turns around and sits his behind right in the baby’s car seat and I’m laughing so hard. I can’t imagine his owner’s reaction when she came out and saw Nacho sitting in the seat looking right at her. The seat does look awfully comfy, but I think Nacho might be a little too big for this one. This funny boxer has definitely made himself a part of the family and he’s expecting to be treated exactly the same. Has your fur baby ever done anything like this before? What would your reaction be if you saw them in a situation like this? I think I’d be doubled over in laughter!

When we raise our children, we all do our best to make sure that they know right from wrong. We also strive to teach them how to be safe and avoid potentially dangerous situations. One of the first lessons we teach our young children is about ‘stranger danger.’ It’s a simple lesson that may feel like it doesn’t even need to be said, but our words and lessons are so important to the kids. Thankfully, 7-year-old Emmy McCardell took her mother’s words on strangers to heart and it probably saved her life. Emmy was outside her house sunbathing when a stranger in a vehicle pulled up. He greeted Emmy and then asked if she would like a bicycle. Quick-thinking Emmy immediately jumped up, shouted ‘no’, and ran inside to her mother. 'Hey there's a tricky guy who tried to get me,’ Emmy said to her mom. A camera outside of the house captured this terrifying moment on video, so Emmy’s mother was able to give it to the police department for further investigation. They agreed that the man’s actions were suspicious and this could’ve been a potential kidnapping situation. But Emmy remembered her mother’s words on ‘stranger danger’ and did the right thing by running right inside. T his is such a scary moment, but thankfully everything turned out all right for this family. Now, this footage is serving as a warning to other parents to make sure that their children know what do when a stranger approached. We can never be too careful with the lives of our kids.

It’s never easy to watch a loved one experience a disease such as Alzheimer’s. They rob people of their memories and take away a lot of what makes up a person’s personality. Anyone who has fought this heartbreaking disease will tell you that certain parts of losing your memory hurt way more than others. Sisters Ann Patrick and Marguerita Wilson haven’t seen each other in more than 15 years. Sadly, both sisters suffer from Alzheimer’s. But today, these long lost sisters are reuniting and it’s such a beautiful moment. 88-year-old Marguerita’s condition is not as advanced as her sisters, so she immediately recognized Ann. She burst into tears and embraced her sister in a sweet hug. There are so many emotions in this moment that you can’t help but tear up yourself. Both women recognize something familiar in the other, even if they can’t quite put their finger on it. They come together just like they see each other every day, without missing a single beat. Even though they may not remember this encounter, thankfully, someone decided to film it all so everyone will be able to cherish this moment for years to come. I can’t imagine the heartache it must be to watch your loved ones go through this terrible disease, but moments of hope like this make the days much better. I’m praying for all the families going through similar situations right now. Just know that God is with you each step of the way and He will never leave your side.

If you are a pet owner, you know what it’s like to love and be loved unconditionally. There is truly nothing like the friendship we receive from our fur babies. Dogs, in particular, tend to hold a very special place in their owner’s hearts. And there’s definitely a reason that they call a dog man’s best friend. Our animals truly become a part of the family and when they are no longer with us, the void is felt. One of the worst experiences for a pet owner is if their beloved animal is ever lost. It’s such a sad feeling knowing that your loved one is out there and could potentially be all alone and not able to get back home. That’s exactly what happened to this one woman when her sweet dog was missing for over 2 weeks. All she wanted was to bring her baby home and after days of searching and waiting, she finally got the phone call she had been waiting on. The City of Jackson Animal Shelter received this woman’s dog and they were finally going to be reunited. I thought it was going to be sweet, but I had no idea there would be so many emotions going on. Just watch this happy dog as he realizes that his human is right in front of him. He does a happy dance and she starts to join in too. There’s no denying the happiness that is on each one of their faces. I’m so glad that this dog was able to return home safely.

A lot of people think that once you get older, it means you are limited in what you can do. People will tell you all of the things that you will miss out on or the things that you are no longer allowed to do. But age is really nothing but a number and if you set your mind to something, the possibilities are endless. 81-year-old Mr. McCoy knew that he could do a backflip in the pool, but there were a lot of doubters around him. He decided to prove everybody wrong and there is proof on camera to back it all up. Just watch as Mr. McCoy gets in the pool, surrounded by three friends. From there, they help lift this grandpa up into the air and he goes flying. And with perfect precision, Mr. McCoy does a backflip with cheers all around him. It is obvious that this man is young at heart and everyone loves it. I cannot get over how great he looks for someone his age and all of the life and spirit that he has. It truly shows that age can’t hold you back when you are determined and strive to be your best. This is not only entertaining, but it’s also very inspiring to watch. Mr. McCoy may be a grandpa but I think that he has more energy than most men half his age. I sure hope this is what I am like when I’m in my eighties. Who else agrees?

Nature has a way of being completely unpredictable. You never know what will happen when you’re wandering in the woods. That’s one reason why you always need to be on alert and aware of your surroundings. This could be the difference between life or death in nature. And that’s exactly what happened to Jessica Boshoff and her husband Dale Boshoff when they were on a hike with their friend Jordan Illsley in the Canadian Rockies. They were just a few minutes into the hike when they came across a large grizzly bear. The bear was right on the trail in the path that the three needed to take. But when they were faced with a scary situation like this, all three knew to keep calm and make very little movements. They all started to slowly back away from the bear, in case he tried to do anything. Instead of trying to go past the giant creature, they decided not to risk anything. When they were further away, Dale pulled out his phone and started to record the encounter. You can hear the Australians remark on the size of the bear and we all get to see the giant creature move along the trail before continuing to head away from the group. It’s truly amazing and terrifying all at the same time. Not a lot of people can say they came that close to grizzly bear. I’m do glad that the group was safe and unharmed. What would you have done in this situation?

There’s an old saying about never missing something that you never had. And that’s completely true. You never really know what was different until you actually have the opportunity to see it from the other side. I think that’s exactly what is happening to this groom on his very special day. 24-year-old Griffin is about to marry the love of his life in just a few hours. He’s all dressed and ready to go but there is one thing he has left to do. His bride-to-be, Blaire Ahlers, wanted to give him something extra special on their wedding day and she made sure it was in his room before the ceremony. Now, Griffin is opening this present and it’s completely life changing. Griffin is colorblind and has never been able to see all the wonders that the world around us offers. He has seen Enchroma glasses before, which allow colorblind people to see color, but they are very expensive. Blaire wanted to give her future husband a gift he would remember so she purchased the glasses and Griffin is seeing the real world for the very first time. Just watch as he walks around the room, glancing all over, before he finally looks outside. You can see the emotions all over his face as he realizes what he has been missing this entire time. Griffin said, "I put them on and truth be known my whole life changed.” This is definitely a gift that he will never forget and it’s made this special day in Griffin’s life even more memorable.

A house fire can be completely devastating. Not only have you been through a very scary experience, but you are left without the place you know and love and all of your possessions. It’s hard to adjust to a new place and start over with nothing, but this is the reality for many people around the world. This man knows all too well about how terrifying a house fire can be and just what it’s like to return to where you used to live and see nothing but rubble. This man is returning home for the first time since a devastating California fire came through his home. He walks up the long drive and all you can see is smoke and dirt. But this man was there for one reason and that was to see if his beloved dog had survived the ordeal. They were separated during the initial fire and this owner has been worried sick the entire time. Now that it is safe to come back, he’s hoping his best buddy managed to come through alive. Just watch as he rounds the corner of the driveway and the dog comes running right at him. I know that both of them are so happy to see each other and a lot of prayers have been answered. I can’t imagine being separated from my furbaby from something like a fire, but I’m so glad that these two were able to be reunited and everyone is okay. God was truly with this dog the entire time.

When you have talent and a dream, there’s truly nothing that can hold you back. It’s always incredible to watch people follow their passion and live out their best lives. 29-year-old Alfina Fresta is the perfect example of following your dream, no matter what the rest of the world says. Alfina has Cerebral Palsy and many people think that limits your entire life. But Alfina is proving all of these people wrong in the best way possible. This incredible woman has a voice like no other and when you hear her sing, it will absolutely blow you away. The Sicilian woman is affected by spastic dystonic tetraparesis and is visually impaired but none of these things has stopped her from sharing her beautiful voice for all the world to hear. Recently, Alfina performed at the Sicilian Festival of the Family in Etna, Italy and her powerful performance was seen all over the Internet. Now, she’s back for another performance and it’s even better than the first. Just listen as Alfina stands up and belts her heart out to this moving tune. She is assisted by Stefania Licciardello who helps hold her up during the performance. I think everyone in the audience was stunned by this incredible voice and I felt the exact same way. There is so much talent and skill in her voice and it’s one you have to hear to believe. I sure hope we get to hear more from this amazing woman. Who else is in awe of this beautiful voice?
