Sometimes our plans do not meet up with what actually happens in life. In those moments, we are often hit with disappointment. But how should we handle that feeling? “It’s really important for us to tackle our disappointments, talk about them, and figure out what do we do with them?” Lysa goes on to explain that in the moments of disappointment we can find ourselves the most vulnerable. “The enemy knows when he can isolate us, he can influence us.” Everyone experiences disappointment in life. Taking the time to work through it is key. Understanding that sitting on the other side of disappointment is Hope. When we are at our weakest, that is when God is able to do the greatest move in our lives. According to Lysa these times are often when we experience the greatest “revelation about out who [God] is and who we are to Him” Placing our trust in God and allowing Him to move will help us to shift through that disappointment and into the joy that He desires for us. “Our God is good and our God is good at being God!” There is no question that we are loved by the Father and that He has great plans for our lives. When we experience low times, we should turn to Him and let Him lead our steps and be our strength!

When Voices of Hope Children’s Choir stepped onto the America’s Got Talent stage, there was no doubt it was going to be a moving performance! The choir is made up of children of all ages. Each bringing their own unique sound to the group. Seeing their faces light up as they began to sing made us smile too! As the opening chords began for the hit Broadway song, “Defying Gravity”, the audience began to cheer. The four teenage soloists were backed up with the powerful support of the dynamic children’s choir. Their beautiful sound began to grow as they entered the song’s well-known chorus: “It's time to try, Defying gravity, I think I'll try, Defying gravity, Kiss me goodbye I'm, Defying Gravity, And you won't bring me down... “ Tight harmonies and sharp choreography added to the swell of emotions on their faces as they sang their hearts out. It is such a blessing to see children coming together to use their talents in such a powerful performance. It’s obvious they have spent a lot of time working on their music together and have created a family within their choir. Even the judges were visibly moved by their performance. Simon begged the voters to put the choir through to the next round. Heidi Klum exclaimed “...You put so much joy onto the stage. You’re like my happy place. I think you’ve everyone’s happy place. Thank you for that. Well done.”” Agreed. Well done. Very moving, indeed.

This moving video of a mother hen protecting her babies was taken by Anil Kuma Pentakota in India. Sometimes seeing the instinctual love of a mother animal does our heart good. There is little that a mother will not do for their young to protect them and give them the opportunity to grow stronger. As the video begins, the mother hen spreads her wings as her brood of five featherless babies gather beneath them. The rain is beginning to puddle around them as she stands strong against the damp conditions. “This video was taken at a local fish market when there was heavy rain, we can see mother’s love in the natures way,” told ViralHog. “A hen protecting its chicks in heavy rain.” Even through what appears to be an intense rain storm, this mother hen continues to protect her young without complaining. Setting aside her own comfort, this mama’s only concern was for those baby chicks. The babies knew that Mom would protect them as they quickly huddled together to wait out the storm. Commenters on social media were moved by the video, comparing the natural concern of this mother hen to it’s human counterparts. “A mothers love for her children🙏🏼” wrote one commenter. It’s easy to be wrapped up in life and forget what our own parents have sacrificed for us. This video has us thinking back to childhood. There were so many times our our mothers protected us, offered the last spoonful of food, or simply allowed our desires to come before hers. What a blessing to have a parent who cares so deeply for their children. We hope that you remember to thank your mother, father, or other mentor for the love and protection they may have offered to you!

This sweet girl was bullied and teased in school because of her language barrier, but her passion for singing helped her overcome all the negativity. Amanda’s rendition of Aretha Franklin’s ‘Natural Woman’ really impressed the judges and she even earned the golden buzzer from judge Mel B. Now, Amanda is back for another incredible performance and this time she’s putting her own unique spin on a popular Top 40 song. Just listen as she belts out the lyrics to ‘Happy’ from Pharrell. Amanda changed up the tempo to this song about positivity and it truly gives the tune and whole new meaning. It is obvious that this young girl has a talent for performing and she’s giving this audition her all. I think it is so amazing to see her follow her dreams at such a young age. What an incredible opportunity and this is definitely a moment that she will never forget. Thankfully, it has all been recorded so Amanda can look back on this for years to come. 40-year-old Michael Ketterer is a pediatric mental health nurse, father of 6 and outspoken Christian. Together with his wife, Ivey, they have one biological daughter and 5 adopted boys. Recently, this inspiring dad has been making headlines as a contestant on America’s Got Talent. His very first performance of the Bee Gees' "To Love Somebody" left everyone in awe. In fact, this caring father earned the coveted golden buzzer from judge Simon Cowell. To follow up that incredible first audition, Michael belted out a very special rendition of ‘Us’ from James Bay. The performance was so emotional that it brought multiple judges to tears, including the normally tough Simon. Michael has earned praise during his entire run on America’s Got Talent and his most recent number was no different. Just watch as Michael stands on an empty stage and beautifully sings ‘When I Look At You’ from pop star Miley Cyrus. He dedicated each word to his loving and supportive wife. After the song was over, judge Simon did something I’ve never seen before. He made a plea to fellow celebrity and country music artist Garth Brooks. Simon asked, “Garth, if you’re watching the show, please write Michael a song for the final…I just have this feeling about you two having a connection.” After this incredible performance, Michael did, in fact, advance to the finals. So now, we just have to wait and see if Garth Brooks gets the message and responds. Who is rooting for Michael Ketterer to take the whole competition?

Normally, when we think of thieves breaking into cars, we imagine them busting out the window and breaking the glass. This used to be how the majority of car thefts occurred. But nowadays, thieves are having a much easier time because they simply have to open a car door. So many people are leaving their cars unlocked and vulnerable that these burglars don’t have to make much effort anymore. First, we see security camera footage of an unlocked car in the driveway. The robber opens the door and determines that there is nothing of value for him to take, but he does use the garage door opener inside the vehicle to open the bay. Once he is inside the garage, he finds 2 bikes that are worth his time and rides off with them. When Inside Edition heard about the rise in thefts from unlocked cars, they decided to conduct their own investigation and the results were shocking. One reporter spent the day with the Mount Pleasant Police Department in New York State to determine how big of an issue this was. As they walked around a crowded parking lot, they found door after door unlocked and many had valuables in plain view such as wallets or car keys. But the most shocking find was an unlocked car that was running with a child in the backseat. Anyone could’ve hopped in the car and driven off with the toddler. This video is definitely eye opening and it’s a great reminder to always lock your car. It’s a simple thing that could change your whole life.

God truly put a lot of time and effort into placing all of the beautiful creatures on this Earth. He knew exactly what He was doing with each and every one and they are all a sight to behold. From the most majestic and grand animals, like whales and elephants, all the way down to the bugs and the bees, each creature holds something special. When we truly take the time to look at them, you will discover an elaborate world of God’s creation. These bees are the perfect example. A group of beekeepers in small town in South West Michigan were harvesting honey a couple weeks ago when a worker bee fell into the honey extractor. They knew that they couldn’t let this poor creature die, so they rescued her and placed her at the entrance to the beehive. That is when the most amazing thing started to happen. Her fellow bees worked for over 30 minutes to clean off the honey from all over the body. They all pitched in and every amazing moment was capture on camera. This beekeeper knew ‘that her sisters would help her’ and that’s exactly what happened. I never knew that bees would do something like this but it is so incredible to watch God’s masterpieces in motion. I cannot help but to marvel at the details that He put into every single being on this planet. Have you ever seen anything like this before? What other fascinating sights have you seen in nature?

I think we can all agree that there’s nothing sweeter than the relationship between 2 siblings. It is truly a special bond unlike anything else in this world. God definitely knew what he was doing when He placed these amazing people in our lives. And as time goes on, the relationship only gets stronger and stronger. Even though distance may separate some family members, the love never goes away. These two elderly sisters have been apart for nearly 10 years. One sister is a 96-year-old woman who lives alone in South Carolina and her 86-year-old sister lives in the U.K. As time went on and they got older, neither one thought they would be able to see each other again. But thanks to an incredible family member, these two sisters were reunited and every precious moment was caught on camera. I just love the moment that these two set eyes on one another and share the sweetest embrace. I know this was an opportunity that they never thought they would get, so that makes it even more beautiful. Despite the time and distance, it’s like these two sisters were never apart. You can really sense the love between these siblings and that bond that can never be broken. This video definitely gave me all of the feels. God truly knew what He was doing when He blessed some of us with siblings of our own. What is a special moment that you share with one of your siblings or loved ones?

There’s no doubt in my mind that God knew exactly what He was doing when He placed animals on this Earth. Not only do they provide us with sustenance, but some animals actually provide us with companionship and love. These special creatures become a part of our family and they are truly more than just pets. Our pets hold a very unique place in our hearts and it’s always a heartwarming relationship to witness. As the years go by, the relationship only gets stronger. This is especially true for dogs. They are known for their friendship and unconditional love. These furry friends will love us no matter what and that’s one of the reasons dogs are known as man’s best friend. Unfortunately, as time goes on, we become faced with the fact that our pets will not always be with us. This man in the city of Vibo Valentia in Italy is going through this exact situation. His beloved dog suffers from bone cancer and is unable to take normal walks. But this kind dog owner wanted to make sure that his friend still got outside so he made a special device to help walk the disabled dog. Several times a day, these two will go out on walks together and it’s absolutely amazing to watch. There is obviously a very special bond between these two and it’s so sweet to watch this man take care of his best friend. Who else who do this for their furbaby? I know I sure would.

If you follow The X Factor UK, you may recognize Anthony Russell as a contestant on the 2017 season. This talented singer made it all the way to the Judge’s Houses before he left the competition to deal with personal issues. Anthony was doing great in the competition, but he realized that he was starting to go down a rocky path and needed help. Performer Louis Tomlinson, who would go on to be a judge in 2018, had been following Anthony on the show and decided to reach out to the young man. He offered to help Anthony on his road to recovery and now, this talented young man is back for a comeback audition and he’s hoping to impress the judges again. Clean and sober, Anthony decided to perform an incredible rendition of Avicii's 'Wake Me Up.' It’s obvious that this young man has an amazing voice and he was truly meant to be on stage and perform. But this audition was more than just a song for Judge Louis. He was brought to tears by Anthony’s performance and just how far this young man has come in such a short amount of time. Anthony earned a standing ovation from all of the judges and the entire crowd and he will be moving on to the next stage. I’m so glad that he got a second chance at following his dream and I hope we continue to see more of Anthony throughout the competition. Who else is rooting for this brave young man after this emotional comeback audition?

In our technology-driven world, it only takes a phone or a camera to completely change someone’s life. That can be both good and bad. Recently, actor Geoffrey Owens found himself in the middle of a viral phenomenon that caused him to speak out. Geoffrey is best known for his role on ‘The Cosby Show’ and he’s continued to work in the industry in the years since. But, most of the jobs that he’s received have not been steady work, like a television show, so Geoffrey needed another way to help pay the bills for his family. That’s when he took up a part-time job at Trader Joe’s as a cashier. They offered him the flexibility that he needed to go on auditions and he was able to make money to support the family. But when someone snapped a photo of Geoffrey at work, it immediately went viral. Comments flooded in, both positive and negative, but when some people started to ‘job-shame’ him for working at a supermarket, Geoffrey decided to speak out. In an interview on Good Morning America, Geoffrey said, "I was really devastated, but the period of devastation was so short…My wife and I started to read these responses from literally all over the world. Fortunately, the shame part didn't last very long." So many people have come out to support Geoffrey for doing what it takes to make sure his family is taken care of and there is absolutely nothing embarrassing about that. Geoffrey Owens has definitely made a lot of new fans and I hope that we continue to see him on our screens.

When you are a police officer, your days are anything but predictable. When you start a shift, you never quite know what your workday is going to be like. And every officer knows that some days can be far more emotional than others. Deputy Tyler Milton had a very emotional day recently when on shift with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. When he noticed a vehicle driving erratically near the freeway, Deputy Milton pulled the car over for what he thought would be a routine traffic stop. That’s when a man rushed out of the car with a baby in his arms. He said that the 9-month-old was not breathing and he was unresponsive. Deputy Milton quickly radioed for help and tried on his own to revive the infant. Help soon arrived when Deputy Alissa Farrington came on scene and they decided to transport the baby to Long Beach Memorial Medical Center. Thankfully, while they were on the way to the hospital, Deputy Milton was able to perform CPR on the baby boy and he began to breathe on his own. Footage from the hospital shows a string of police vehicles outside the emergency room and one officer rushing from their vehicle with the infant in their arms. I’m so glad that these police officers were able to help this boy and their quick thinking definitely saved his life. Our heroes in blue are truly amazing and we cannot thank them enough for what they do each and every single day.

It’s never easy to watch a loved one with failing health. It’s even harder when you know there are people out there that can help, but you can’t reach them. That’s exactly the predicament that 53-year-old Marc Weiner and his family have found themselves in. Mark had both of his kidneys and his bladder removed because of cancer. And now, he’s in need of a kidney donor and he needs one fast. Times Square is known for being a busy tourist destination full of people and life at all hours of the day. So many people from around the world visit this New York City staple and it’s where Marc is hoping that he finds the help he needs. A friend of the family is in the billboard business and when he heard about Marc’s situation he decided to do something to help. He donated space on a billboard in Times Square and now every 7 seven minutes, a plea for a kidney for Marc appears. Marc will have the billboard space for 3 months and that is worth an estimated $100.000. Both Marc and his wife were overcome with gratefulness to this priceless family friend. Marc’s wife said, “They’re lifesavers. They are true angels and we said ‘What can we do to thank you?’ and all they said is ‘Nothing. Let’s just get him a kidney.’” We are definitely thinking about Marc and his family during this time and I pray that the billboard reaches someone who could be a match.

Francis Chan is a Christian preacher who has been spreading God’s message for years. He is also a speaker, author and helped start Cornerstone Community Church in 1994. What started out as a small 30-person church quickly grew into one of the largest churches in Ventura County, California. Now, Francis continues to speak the gospel and this particular sermon is one that will hit you hard. Francis starts off my bringing a long piece of rope onto the stage and stretching it out. He asked everyone to imagine that the rope went on forever and that the rope was a timeline of your existence. At the very end, there was a small bit of red on the rope. The rest of it was all white. That’s when Francis went on to illustrate that the red part represented your time on Earth and the white part was your eternal life that you would spend somewhere. “What blows me away is some of you, all you think about is this red part. It’s all you think about. You’re consumed with this.” Sometimes, we get so caught up in our Earthly distractions that we forget that this period of our lives is just a blip in the grand scheme of it all. Francis continues by saying, “The Bible teaches that what I do during this little red part determines how I’m going to exist for millions and millions and millions of years, forever.” This simple demonstration will truly open your eyes about our eternal life and what really matters.
