Josh Groban's Emotional Song 'River' From New Album

Josh Groban recently released another moving song “River” for his new album Bridges. This song could be an anthem for finding hope when it seems all is lost. In true Groban form, the music is just as emotionally moving as the lyrics themselves. Working through a chorus explaining the doubts and fears that so many share, Groban builds to the uplifting chorus: “So I walk down to the river, Where the troubles, they can't find me, Let the waters there remind me, The sun will be there when we wake, I walk down to the river, Though I might not understand it, It's not always as we planned it, But we grow stronger when we break, So I walk down to the river, I walk down to the river” Groban said on his social media page that “River” was a “really personal song”. The official video for “River” opens with a dark shadowy Groban singing about difficult times for a man who feels alone but cannot find help. It is in the river that he finds his comfort and peace. “For people who suffer from anxiety, suffer from depression, suffer from those things, it can feel very isolating...when you go there and write about those things, you realize you’re actually not alone... Everybody to a certain degree, goes through those kind of things. ” Josh Groban has been an uplifting voice for many with his music. Often the lyrics offer perspective on love, loss, pain, and encouragement. His unique vocals and passion for his music lead the listener through each song and the emotions that come with it. The “River” is just one of those songs and hopefully will become a voice of encouragement for those who are battling tough times – there is shelter in the river. “God’s blessings are like a river. They fill the city of God with joy. That city is the holy place where the Most High God lives.” Psalm 46:4

Hollywood Actor Chris Pratt On Being 'Pro Jesus'

Hollywood actor and “Guardians of the Galaxy” star, Chris Pratt recently shared how his faith is impacted by being in Hollywood. Talking about his experiences in Hollywood, Chris was clear to say that he personally has never felt slighted or shamed for his faith. For this actor, Hollywood has been so open to any form of religion that he has always felt very free to share his personal message of faith and the power of prayer. In his interview with The Associated Press, Pratt said ““I think that there's this narrative that exists out there that Hollywood is anti-Christian or anti-religious, but it's just not the case. They are kind of not anti-anything.”” Pratt continued that for him, speaking about his faith now from a public platform is the right thing to do. The actor shared that he feels called to be a voice. And that no matter what is said about him, he will continue speaking to whomever will listen. He feels that Hollywood is encouraging of being “authentic” to oneself and for Pratt that means being in touch with his faith. “It is an authentic thing for me. That kind of message it might not be for everybody but there is a group of people for whom that message is designed…For me it’s authentic to be pro-Christian, pro-Jesus” The actor was been vocal about his faith recently at the MTV Award Show as well. “God is real. God loves, you, God wants the best for you,” he said. “Believe that. I do.” His message was a part of “Nine rules to live by according to Chris Pratt”. He also included the importance of prayer and accepting grace in one’s life. This actor isn’t mincing words when it comes to sharing his faith!

53-Year-Old Jacqueline Faye Surprised The Judges With You're My World Audition

This adorable 53-year-old Mom just blew the X Factor judges away with her truly stunning voice. Within the first few notes, Jacqueline Faye had the judges and audience completely enraptured in her audition! A self-professed Robbie Williams fan (judge and UK pop icon), Jackie was clearly a bit nervous singing in front of her idol. But those fears faded once she began talking about things familiar. Jackie is a Mom of three from a farm in Oxfordshire, England. She adorably introduced herself to the judges and told of all her loving animals waiting back home for her under the care of supportive husband, Bobbie. When Jacqueline walked onto the stage, as typical with older contestants, the crowd and judges were unsure of what she had to offer. The behind-the-scenes clips had viewers at home completely sold before she even sang one note. There is truly something captivating about Jackie! Singing “You’re My World” by Cilla Black, before the end of the first verse it was clear that Jackie had surprised the judges. ”You're my world, you're every breath I take, You're my world, every move I make, Other eyes see the stars up in the skies, But for me they shine within your eyes” Simon especially looked like he had been “Susan Boyle-d” again! (Susan Boyle was an older contestant on Britain’s Got Talent in 2009 and wowed judges with an unexpected voice.) Jackie’s girls stood backstage in full confidence that their Mom had what it takes to knock everyone’s socks off – and boy did she! What hadn’t shared on camera previously was that she is no stranger to the stage or singing; Jackie had a professional singing career in the past. Once she began singing, the nerves faded for complete confidence in her craft! We were instant fans and can’t wait to hear what Jacqueline will pull out next!

Triple Whale Sighting Stuns Cruise Passengers

All of God’s creatures are absolutely amazing. He put so much time and detail into creating each one and they are beautiful to witness. One of the most majestic animals in the sea is the whale. These incredible creatures can come in all different sizes but they are truly spectacular to see in person. People come from all over the world to take in these wonders. Sightseers will take cruises or boats to see all different species of ocean creatures, including whales, and they get to capture once-in-a-lifetime memories. Tourists in Nova Scotia recently came across a mesmerizing moment during a boat cruise with the Ocean Explorations Zodiac Whale Cruises. While they were sailing, three whales swimming near their boat greeted the passengers. Edmond Giroux was a passenger on the cruise and was able to capture every incredible moment on film. Just watch as all three whales leap out of the water to the amazement of each passenger on board. It’s so incredible rare to see three whales breach at the same time. I know this is a sight that everyone is going to remember for a long time and I’m so glad that Edmond was able to hit record at just the right time. Moments like this truly remind me of God’s incredible touches on this Earth and how His creatures never cease to amaze me. There is beauty all around us and we have Him to thank for it all. I sure hope I’m able to see something like this in person one day.

Mesmerizing Dance Crew Brings Judges To Their Feet

The members of Zurcaroh traveled all the way from Austria to audition for America's Got Talent. This acrobatic dance troupe knew that this talent show was one of the biggest in the world so they wanted to compete with the best. In their first audition, these incredible dancers stunned the judges with their gravity-defying flips and tricks. They explained that they were not a professional dance group, but rather one that allows anyone to join regardless of their dance skill. Well, Zurcaroh definitely knew what they were doing because they earned the coveted golden buzzer from host Tyra Banks. Today, this talented troupe is back with another epic performance and I think it’s even better than their first. Just watch as they stand hand-in-hand and start to dance to ‘Baba Yetu.’ At first, the moves start off simple, but before I knew it they were tossing dancers into the air and pulling off mesmerizing acrobatic tricks. I know it must take so much time and practice to perfect all of these skills but this group pulls off each move flawlessly. I have no idea how they get their bodies to move like this and I find myself replaying the dance over and over again. Zurcaroh definitely won me over with their performance and it’s obvious that the judges were loving the show too. In fact, this dance troupe ended up placing second in the entire competition. They definitely deserve every praise and cheer and I hope we continue to see more of this talented group.

94-Year-Old 'Candy Man' Passes Out Free Hershey's Bars To Make Others Smile

Bob Williams is not your typical retired teacher and coach from Long Grove, Iowa. He’s still teaching the world to be kind and care about each other –one Hershey’s candy bar at a time. This 93-year-old started passing out candy bars almost two decades ago as a way to reach his community with kindness. He hoped his gesture would put a smile on people’s faces and help them have a good day. Now, Williams is known as “The Candy Man” around his town. “It just makes me feel good. It’s guaranteed to light up most anyone’s life. You’ll see.” Each week, WWII Veteran, Bob Williams, visits his local Dollar General store to stock up on the candy bars that he stores in his freezer for just the right moment. Williams uses the giant Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Bars to encourage others. “You’d think I’d given them keys to a new car,” he said. “Honest to God, these people were thunderstruck." It’s estimated that he’s passed out a whopping 6,000 chocolate bars since he began this tradition. The first two he purchases always go to the cashiers at the Dollar General, the third to someone in line with him. Always given with light conversation and a smile, Williams is setting the example for how easy it is to bless someone. As Bob passes out the bars he tries to learn each person’s name and remember it! Bob's story reached Hershey’s after an employee’s relative read about him in a newspaper and passed the clipping along. CMO Jill Baskin knew that Bob was on to something and felt this was the perfect time to use his story as an example for others. The company began “heartwarming the world” campaign and of course, Bob was the easy choice to be one of the featured stories. "Right now there are not a lot of things everyone can agree on, but everyone can agree on Hershey."

WWII Vets Bust Out The Moves While Waiting For An Honor Flight

There is nothing better than seeing an older person truly enjoying themselves and reconnecting with their youth! These nimble WWII Vets are shimming to their favorite tunes while waiting at the airport for their Honor Flights. Something truly contagious takes over when you hear the boogie woogie tunes from the 1940s. Most famous of the female partnering singers were the Andrew Sisters. With tight harmonies and creative lyrics, these sisters led the way of the 40’s war-era music. Now, several groups nationwide have stepped up to reenact these toe-tappin’ songs from WWII as a connecting point with the veterans and ambassadors to future generations. As the WWII veterans begin to age, their families are trying to get them to Washington D.C. to view the memorial built in their honor. These Honor Flights carry hundreds of veterans yearly to the States’ capital. The celebration starts long before they board the planes to D.C. often with Andrews Sisters groups giving them an exciting vintage performance to set the mood. This fantastic video was one such Honor Flight. These fellas weren’t going to take that flight sitting down! When the first gentleman heard “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy” it was as though time had stood still and he was straight out of high school. With quick feet, he showed that not only did he have moves, he hadn’t forgotten them! From a Shim Sham step to a soft shoe routine and into “crazy legs” this vet was ready to dance the day away! It wasn’t long before the floor was quickly filled with lots of dancing seniors. They were so excited to get back to those dance steps that perhaps they had thought were long forgotten. As with many Honor Flights a few of the assistants, who clearly love and appreciate the WWII era, were on hand to dance with these amazing gentlemen! We loved how they tried to “cut in” on each other and neither wanted to give up their very talented dancing partner!

Choir Stuns Judges On X Factor With 'This Is Me' Performance

“I am not a stranger to the dark, Hide away, they say, 'Cause we don't want your broken parts, I've learned to be ashamed of all my scars, Run away, they say, No one'll love you as you are” Performing “This Is Me” from The Greatest Showman, LMA Choir gave a truly stunning performance on The X Factor UK. Judges Robbie Williams and Ayda Field were quick to their feet in support of a moving song! We loved hearing the backstory on how the group was formed and seeing their support of one another. The group is made up of students from a local musical theatre class. From the first few notes of the opening solo, it was obvious that this group was made up of incredibly talented vocalists! The choir itself is not very large but their passion and obvious love of performing is contagious. “This is Me” has become an empowering anthem after the success of The Greatest Showman film. The strength in the words conveys to young and old alike, those who have suffered because of being “different”. We truly believe that our strength comes from God, but it is important to remind ourselves that He intends us to be strong, victorious, and confident in the unique person He created us to be! “I won't let them break me down to dust, I know that there's a place for us, For we are glorious” We love the joy that the LMA Choir brought to this performance! A very non-traditional choral group that packed an impressive and inspiring performance!

95-Year-Old Musician Julian Lee Plays Piano After Suffering Stroke

95-Year-Old Julian Lee has been ”tickling the ivories” his whole life. But this great jazz musician hasn’t played in years after a stroke left him unable to use his right arm. When famous trumpeter James Morrison dropped in to visit Julian they decided to play some tunes together. Julian was born in New Zealand. He was blind from birth but that didn’t stop his obvious love of music. By age six, he was hooked. His ability to hear music and arrange complicated patterns made him wildly popular in the 1960s. Julian arranged pieces for Frank Sinatra, Peggy Lee, Chet Baker and a host of other jazz “greats”. In the 70’s Julian moved to Australia and began a well-known career there. He continued to play and even hosted a weekly radio program. More recently Julian has suffered from strokes. He stopped playing after losing the use of his right arm. When a few of his jazz musician friends stopped by for a visit, they couldn’t help but encourage Julian to play again. And boy, did he! The friends set up a keyboard near Julian’s chair and within moments, he was playing with his left hand like nothing had happened. His “runs” on the keyboard were amazing but what was the most capturing was Julian’s smile as he got into the music. There is no stopping this great pianist from doing what he loves most and is so passionate about! We’re all smiles too seeing Julian in his element again with his friends!

'Christ Is Risen' - Mack Brock Acoustic Performance

‘Hallelujah, Christ is risen from the grave Hallelujah, Christ is risen from the grave All throughout eternity Our song will be the same Hallelujah, Christ is risen from the grave’ God truly made the ultimate sacrifice for us when He sent His only Son to Earth to die for us on the cross. After three days, He rose from the dead. After that, all of our sins were forgiven and now, we're free of our chains and can live out our days in Heaven above. That is such a glorious blessing, indeed. Because of this second chance at life, we know that He lives through us and always stands beside us. It’s an incredible feeling knowing that we have the love and strength of God running through us and we are sure to be reminded of this as you listen to the lyrics of ‘Christ Is Risen’ from Mack Brock. Today, we get to hear a very special acoustic rendition of this song and it’s absolutely beautiful. We all need to be reminded from time to time of God’s amazing grace and power. He has truly given us so many blessings in this life and there is no way we can thank Him enough. I just love how Mack Brock puts his whole heart into this song and you can tell that he has a passion for leading worship. This is one of those songs that will stick with you long after it’s over and I find myself coming back to it again and again. Who else is saying amen?
