Be transported back in time as you listen to 40 Fingers perform a live rendition of ‘The Sound Of Silence.’ Simon & Garfunkel originally released this iconic song in 1964. Since that time, many artists have lent their voices to the tune. One of the most well known covers comes from the rock band, Disturbed, in 2015. Recently, a cappella group Pentatonix released their own version and it skyrocketed the tune back into popularity. Today, we’re hearing an entirely new rendition, with a nod to classical music, and it’s absolutely stunning. “Hello darkness, my old friend, I've come to talk with you again Because a vision softly creeping, Left its seeds while I was sleeping And the vision that was planted in my brain Still remains within the sound of silence” 40 Fingers is a guitar quartet comprised of members Matteo Brenci, Emanuele Grafitti, Marco Steffè, Andrea Vittori. This talented group of musicians takes beloved classics and gives them a unique and instrumental makeover. From hits such as ‘Back In Black’ and ‘Bohemian Rhapsody,’ there is always something special about each arrangement from 40 Fingers. Today, they’re sharing a live performance of ‘The Sound Of Silence’ from a recent live stream concert and it’s absolutely chilling. From the melody to the twang of the strings, the performance is sheer perfection from beginning to end. Check out this talented wedding violinist rock the house with his energetic performance at the reception! The violinist in this video is Dominique Hammons, and, wow, is he amazing on his instrument! Right from the beginning, Dominique shows that he has some incredible violin skills, and it is so crazy to see how fast his fingers are moving during a majority of the song! He is definitely in the zone during this performance! What magnificent talent. And as he plays, crowds of guests from the wedding gather to watch the violinist break it down and take videos on their phone of his phenomenal skills. Man, he is so good! “Now that’s pure talent!! God bless his hands. Awesome job!” comments one person on YouTube after watching the video. “The best wedding musician I’ve ever heard,” another person writes online. It is also so fun to see everyone’s reaction that is coming through the doors into the space where Dominique is playing. The guests can’t help but enjoy themselves and dance along to his sweet music. Just another day in Russia? CCTV footage caught the terrifying moment on camera when a curious black bear seemingly snuck up behind a warehouse worker on its hind legs. Close your eyes and imagine for a moment… (wait, open them back up so you can finish reading this!) You feel like you’re nine hours deep into a ten-hour shift at your job at the warehouse company. You’re taking inventory in the back, minding your own business, maybe even planning out what you’re going to make for dinner when you get home. As you’re finishing up taking inventory of the boxes lining the shelves, you hear footsteps approaching from behind you. “Oh that's probably just Dmitri from accounting,” you think to yourself. But as you turn to look, you notice the majority of your vision is taken up by a large black figure looming in front of you. And then it hits you… that isn’t Dmitri from accounting at all! That's a six-foot black bear standing on its hind legs in the Russian warehouse! You shield yourself from the beast in horror as he pokes his slobbery wet nose up against your clipboard. You feel the heat as he exhales his pungent breath against your face and hands. Your heart is beating out of your chest, and you momentarily wonder whether or not those Karate self-defense classes you took when you were 8 might finally pay off. You envision yourself scaring the monster off with one swift karate-chop to the jugular. “Do bears even have jugulars?” you think to yourself, but there's no time left for contemplation. You must take action! You shimmy against the shelves of boxes to try and squeeze past the bear when he suddenly falls back on all fours. Now’s your chance. You toss the clipboard to the side, catching the bear‘s attention and creating an opening to escape through. You make a mad dash for the exit, adrenaline coursing through your veins as you burst out of the warehouse door to safety. You're safe at last. You take a sigh of relief. Dmitri from accounting is NEVER going to believe this. An unimpressed Simon gives an auditioning singer a second chance, and the man nailed his X Factor audition! Simon Cowell is known for his brutal honesty. He’s made singers and performers bawl on stage over the years. But this time around, something astonishing plays out on the stage after a performance. Unimpressed, Simon gives singer Gary Barker a second chance. Then Gary nails his X Factor audition! Gary came bouncing onto the stage and already the judges were not impressed with his theatrics, especially after the music began to play with his song choice. Gary chose Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars’ 'Uptown Funk.' The upbeat, high energy song failed to impress the judges. When Gary belted out the words to the hit song, the judges signaled for the music to stop halfway into the performance. It seems Gary’s chance is over before it even started. Simon was brutally honest. He told Gary they weren’t looking for an entertainer but someone with an incredible voice to coach. Gary then pleaded to try out with another song. Simon relented and warned him to throw out all his bad habits and connect with the music. What happens next is astounding. Gary shows off what he is really capable of, with the song, ‘A Change Is Gonna Come.’ The judges were visibly shocked and questioned why he didn’t go with this performance first. He told the judges, “I don’t class myself as a singer. I class myself as an entertainer.” Simon stops him right there in the moment. “You know what? Sorry. This is absolutely wrong. No! You’re not that kind of person. You don’t see Sam Smith bouncing around,” Simon said. Then, Simon and the rest of the judges tell Gary who he is supposed to be. They lifted him up and encouraged Gary by telling him to be himself, to be proud of his talent, and not try to mimic other artists. Because Gary wanted to be a performer so badly, he tried to conform himself to this world and other things and it was definitely the wrong choice. “I think you are actually way, way better than even you know because you’ve been asked to do stupid things for entertainment,” Simon said. That moment was not only life-changing for Gary, it was also soul-changing as the judges reminded him of who God meant for him to be! “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” Romans 12:2

A newlywed couple skated their first dance on a frozen pond to Ed Sheran’s ‘Perfect.’ And it was definitely just that--perfect! Now most couples know they need to practice not only how they will greet their guests after becoming newlyweds, but they will also practice their first dance. Some couples will even hire a dance instructor or take dance lessons. But one couple took a completely different spin. Instead of dancing, they skated their first dance on a frozen pond to Ed Sheeran’s song, ‘Perfect.‘ I found a love for me Oh darling, just dive right in and follow my lead Well, I found a girl, beautiful and sweet Oh, I never knew you were the someone waiting for me And the best part? Their dance was so romantic and the perfect representation of what it is like when two become one that their first dance on ice went viral! Leah and Devinder are not only both figure skaters, they were also soon to be newlyweds. They posted their figure skating video online. But what they didn’t realize was that when they posted their pre-wedding ‘dance’ video of them skating, that it would go viral. With over half a million views and counting, their moment captures what it means to be in love! In the video, it shows the couple standing on the edge of a pond surrounded by houses and the woods. Snow is on the ground and it looks like a magical winter wonderland. But what happens next leaves viewers breathless. The couple elegantly skates out onto the pond to Ed Sheeran’s song, ‘Perfect.’ It begins with Devinder going out solo on the ice before he skates back around to ask Leah if he could have this dance. And the rest of the video is just magical. Between the way the couple sync up their moves and the words of Ed’s song, it is the perfect picture of two becoming one. "Set me as a seal upon your heart, as a seal upon your arm, for love is strong as death, jealousy is fierce as the grave. Its flashes are flashes of fire, the very flame of the LORD. Check out this pet owner catching her dog practicing making mean faces in the mirror. How hysterical! The funny scene happened on January 26, 2021 in Johannesburg, South Africa. "I was sitting in my room with my dog when I noticed him staring at the mirror,” writes the dog’s owner in the caption of the video posted online. “I first thought he was looking at me through the mirror, then I realized he was looking at himself and started making faces at himself which is when I took the video." You can hear the owner laughing later on in the video at the comical sight. It really is funny to watch, seeing that sweet golden retriever turn from a mild and friendly looking dog to a mean and quite scary looking dog while flashing his teeth in the mirror. People on YouTube were making funny comments about what the dog might have been thinking when he was practicing his mean looking face. "Look, no one is going to take the ball away from us again. No one," reads one humorous comment online. “Hmm...that’s what my teeth look like,” says another online comment, insinuating that maybe the golden retriever just wanted to take a good look at his pearly whites in the mirror. Whatever the reason the dog had for making such a mean looking face at his reflection, it sure got the attention of his owner, as well as people online who watched the video. And it brought some laughter and smiles along with it. Dogs are such great animals that can bring such joy and companionship to our lives. Thank you, God, for these furry friends that you created!
