A father-daughter dance duo earns the coveted golden buzzer during Spain's Got Talent 2021 season.
With an old western backdrop, the father and daughter stand on stage with two cardboard cutouts of cowboy faces. These cutouts cover their own faces. They are positioned beside one another, some distance apart, dressed in black shirts and pants with yellow jackets. Unique to the daughter, she wears a bandana around her neck.
At the start of their performance, both put down their cardboard faces. They walk around some props toward the front of the stage. After engaging in some silent argumentative dialogue, tension erupts. They walk past one another and then the western duel music is cued. We’re suddenly about to watch a father-daughter showdown.
They make faces at each other and gestures with their hands and arms. Seeing the little girl stand up to her larger father is funny. She doesn’t back down either. The music continues for a bit and then shifts tempo. That’s when the girl breaks into dance.
She does some sliding and arm-gesturing before the father breaks into his own popping and locking. They take turns dancing to start, including when they both engage in the movement called tutting. Both are quite impressive on their own. But let’s not forget, this is a team dance.
Some dialogue plays over the music. Then the duo starts dancing in sync with one another. They mimic one another’s movements, and sometimes one does an action to which the other reacts. More surprising and visually beautiful, the digital western background starts moving too. The buildings bounce along with the beat and along with their dancing.
These energetic, bouncy, and fluid movements are some elements that comprise the dance form known as hip-hop.
Not only were the father and daughter immersed in their movement, but the audience quickly joined them. Clapping ensued, and not just clapping from the audience, but the judges too.
Though they were dancing together, their initial showdown must come to an end and goes along with their routine. The showdown ends with the daughter winning. She simulates shooting her father in a quickdraw much like an old western duel. He falls slowly to the ground in a dancerly fashion. After the movement, she goes over and playfully pretends to kick him. He gets up and they get their feedback from the judges including them pressing that coveted golden buzzer.
This routine is definitely something the audience enjoyed but will be something the father-daughter, Sadeck and Neylia, will be able to look back on one day and be glad they did with one another.
This street performer’s ‘frozen in time’ act is unbelievable!
Watching him is like watching a scene from a movie. As life moves around him, he is absolutely still. If viewing him from a distance, he would seemingly be nothing more than a statue. You know what, viewing him up close may offer the same impression. That’s how good he is.
His image is like a mural plastered on a wall or a movie character who has been frozen by some alien technology. He is seemingly suspended in time. In reality, he has trained himself to simply freeze in the moment. How many people can do that?
A few aspects of the video make this performance enjoyable and funny. Most obvious is the way he is dressed. The man’s hair-do is wild and unkempt. His hair shoots straight up like a fictional character. His mouth is open too either expressing shock or excitement. As we view him, he is stuck in the motion of walking, possibly going to work. One arm swings in front of him and the other is held to his side along with a briefcase. The formal attire he dons is complemented by the bright red tie around his neck. That piece of clothing is seemingly frozen in time as it hangs in the air.
While he offers comedy just in his own visual, watching the people around him offers silliness too. Birds fly around him, people smile, some getting close probably to see if he moves. People laugh at him too, but most all, most of us can relate to some form of amazement.
Sometimes old-timey movies featured cheesy scenes where someone is supposed to be dead, but if you look closely you can see them breathing and moving a little, even blinking at times.
This man clearly has a knack for acting. He would be perfect for such a role. This type of talent is something most of us can only imagine doing. Therefore, when we see this (and not on in a movie) we can’t help but be surprised. People online were amazed, too
One person commented, “He’s not frozen in time, the rest of us are moving at hyper speed.”
That’s definitely a humorous take. Maybe we’ll see more of this guy in the future if he ever leaves his spot.
The Voice contestant takes the crowd to church with ‘I Can Only Image,’ and now I feel like I’m at service too!
Dressed in all white, Victor Solomon showed off his vocal talent and faith with his recent performance. He started on a white staircase that continued upwards behind him with a projection illusion. The camera focused in on him for the beginning while a gentle piano played.
But things weren’t quiet and gentle for long. Victor started walking down the stairs and more instruments joined in. This is where you’ll really start feeling it -- feeling the music transport you to church.
By the time he reached the stage, a group of background singers joined him. Each of them was dressed in all white too. That’s the beautiful part. His performance isn’t about the glam. It’s about God and the gift that He blessed Victor with to share His love.
The addition of the gospel singers will surely have you on your feet, thinking you’re in a room full of believers worshiping together!
Victor Solomon auditioned for ‘The Voice’ with John Legend’s ‘Glory.’ Three out of four of the coaches turned their chairs for him, OBVIOUSLY including John Legend. His cover was incredible.
Victor is a senior in college and is blowing America’s minds at only 22 years old. He grew up in the church and has his heart set on gospel music. While Victor was debating which team to choose, John said, “I’ve literally zero times turned for someone singing one of my songs.”
The two of them then did an impromptu duet of John’s song, ‘Ordinary People.’ Victor’s heart chose John Legend’s team because he has clearly idolized him his entire life.
And look how far Victor has come with John Legend leading the way!
Victor’s performance of ‘I Can Only Imagine,’ originally released by MercyMe in 1988, is beautifully moving. I know God will keep sharing His love through Victor!
Listen to these 2 sisters sing ‘When You Believe’ duet from Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey.
Lucy Thomas and her little sister Martha have beautiful voices. ‘When You Believe’ is the perfect song for them to show off the pureness in their singing.
Lucy Thomas is only 17 years old but was a semifinalist on ‘The Voice Kids UK’ three whole years ago. That’s right! She stunned the judges at just 14 years old with mature songs like ‘Moon River.’
She impressed more than just the judges. Lucy got a record deal right after being on the show! Since then, she has released two albums and gains new fans every day.
Martha is only 11 years old and already following in her sister’s footsteps.
‘When You Believe’ was written by Stephen Schwartz in the late ‘90s for the movie ‘The Prince of Egypt.’ The song won an Academy Award for ‘Best Original Song,’ and there’s no wonder why!
This uplifting song inspires hope and perseverance through its lyrics.
"There can be miracles
When you believe
Though hope is frail, it's hard to kill"
Seeing someone so young sing a song like this and truly feel the words is inspiring on its own. I’m sure Lucy and her family know there can be miracles!
Just as the song says, there can be miracles if you believe. Believe in Christ and He will move mountains. Believe in Christ and He will make miracles happen. Even when you feel your faith is low, that tiny spark of belief puts God on your side.
And Jesus said to them, Because of your unbelief: for truly I say to you, If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you shall say to this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible to you. Matthew 17:20
It’s the universal language of motherly love that even mammals understand. No words were spoken during a viral moment between a mom with newborn and gorilla at the zoo. Garnering millions of views, the video shows a gorilla by the name of Kiki gazing at Emmelina Austin’s five-week-old son, Canyon through the glass of window of her home.
Kiki is a mother of five. The latest addition to her brood includes a seven-month-old baby boy named Pablo! After she birthed Pablo, she held her son for the first two months and wouldn't put him down.
According to her caretakers, she is only just now letting her older daughters help take care of him. Because Kiki is so maternal, the joke at the zoo is that if a baby were to fall into her enclosure, they wouldn’t get the baby back out because she loves babies so much.
It was very apparent in the video that this is very true about Kiki. When she saw Emmelina holding her son, the bonds of motherhood were communicated without one word. Kiki gazed adoringly at baby Canyon for well over five minutes. She even tried to touch him as she held her hand up the glass!
Then, she brought her son Pablo to Emmelina for a proper introduction. For the next several minutes, mothers Kiki and Emmelina sat with their babies inches apart--merely separated by glass bonding as mothers.
Emmelina said, “You could just see the love in her eyes. Her face was just so in love. She was showing her baby my baby. You could just see the emotions in her eyes.”
While humans may be the only ones with a dedicated day for being a mom, it seems that everyday is mother’s day in the animal kingdom. Kiki reminds us just how dedicated, fierce, and loving all moms are. It will certainly be a moment Emmelina will never forget!
"And his mother treasured up all these things in her heart." Luke 2:51
What an incredible way to tell mom just how much she means to you. The Clark family band sings, ‘Have I Told You Lately,’ in honor of mom.
There are three words that mean the world to moms, “I love you.” There are so many ways to say it, but the Clark family decided to tell their mom, Aubree, just how much she means to their family through music.
Dad, Colt Clark is a full-time musician. At least he was before the pandemic hit. His schedule kept him out six nights a week while mom, Aubree worked as a photographer and homeschooled their three children.
Suddenly the family found themselves sheltering in place at home with a lot of time on their hands. Colt decided to embrace the opportunity and teach music to his kids. It turns out all three of his kids-- Cash, Beckett, and Bellamy-- inherited his musical talents.
10-year-old Cash plays the guitar, bass, and percussion, 8-year-old Beckett plays the drums, six-year-old Bellamy plays percussion and is a backup singer!
At first, the family started playing songs together for fun. Then they began filming their music sessions to send to friends and family. Soon, their friends and family were requesting to share their musical moments! Soon their videos were attracting thousands.
Eventually, the family went viral after they recorded a Beatles song that garnered over 10,000 views in less than an hour. Colt believes the reason the family became an internet hit is because everyone in lockdown needed a little more joy in their lives.
But then Colt decided to do something extra special for his wife instead of their fans. He taught his children to play the song, ‘Have I Told You Lately’ as a way to thank the mother of his children and to let her know just how incredible she is.
Needless to say, the song touched the depths of Aubree’s heart as the four people she loves most in the world expressed the words she needed to hear. The video is so sweet and the kids are so happy to show off their hard work to their mom that it will just melt your heart.
"Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: 'Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.'" Proverbs 31:28-29
Listen as this barbershop quartet performs Frank Sinatra classic, ‘Come Fly With Me.’
Frank Sinatra songs ALWAYS sound incredible when performed by a barbershop quartet. ‘Come Fly With Me’ is no exception -- it’s perfection.
This restored footage is from the Barbershop Harmony Society’s 2004 International Convention. The competition took place in Louisville, Kentucky that year.
A user commented that the group, Realtime, came in seventh. It’s hard to imagine a performance better than this! These quartets are extremely talented!
Realtime members included John Newell, Mark Metzger, Tom Metzger, and Tim Broersma. The quartet ended up winning first in the 2005 international competition -- no surprise there!
The Barbershop Harmony Society has over 150,000 subscribers on Youtube and aims to support all-things barbershop. That means the group supports educators, students, and barbershop preservation. The organization posts restored historical footage of different groups every week as a part of its “Way Back When-sday” series.
Barbershop quartet performances aren’t exactly ‘showy,’ but they’re always so much fun to watch! Realtime is dressed in all black and white clothing, particularly on the baggier side. One of the members is even holding a cocktail glass to fit the theme of the song!
Frank Sinatra’s ‘Come Fly With Me’ was originally released in 1958. The catchy tune was written by Jimmy Van Heusen and Sammy Cahn and was so catchy that a handful of future artists would record their own versions.
The recent and popular cover recorded by the lovable Michael Bublé has to be the next best thing to the original. He has a deep, smooth voice just like Sinatra. Although, these quartets sure do give Sinatra a run for his money!
The singers’ outstanding talent both individually and as a group created an outstanding rendition of a timeless classic. Way to go, Realtime!
The Voice finalist Kenzie Wheeler honors his country roots with a breathtaking cover of ‘He Stopped Loving Her Today.’ Country superstar George Jones originally performed this iconic song in 1980.
The power ballad catapulted Jones to the top of the charts and began his lasting legacy in country music. The lyrics tell the story of a man who continued to love one woman his entire life. Even though they were never together, he kept notes and letters and hoped that she would come back into his life. But one day, he stops loving her and that was the day that he passed away.
“He stopped loving her today
They placed a wreath upon his door
And soon they'll carry him away
He stopped loving her today”
Kenzie Wheeler has been a front-runner since his very first blind audition on The Voice. He earned a rare four-chair turn with his rendition of the country hit ‘Don’t Close Your Eyes.’
Today, he’s taking it back to the heart of country with ‘He Stopped Loving Her Today’ from George Jones. Kenzie shared that the iconic song is one of his grandmother’s favorites, so he wanted to put his everything into the performance. And from the very first note, this young man certainly put on a show.
Week after week, Kenzie continues to impress the judges with his spot-on song selection and smooth vocals. As a part of Team Kelly, he receives guidance from a pop superstar very familiar with talent competitions. With a killer voice and winning coach, there seems to be no end in sight for Kenzie Wheeler.
In case you haven’t been online during this quarantine, and you’ve yet to discover the talented Savanna and Mat Shaw--one of the most incredibly talented musical duos that emerged from the pandemic--then you’re in for quite a treat. This video will have you grinning from ear to ear as the father-daughter duet to ‘Annie’s Song’ by John Denver.
What started off as merely a chance to show Savanna’s friends that she could sing has now turned into an internet sensation with more than 50 million views and millions of fans.
Believe it or not, Savanna didn’t have the confidence that she was a good singer. Because she felt nervous, she asked her dad to help her sing the song, ‘The Prayer.’ Savanna has always been immensely shy and didn’t like to be in the spotlight.
But when Savanna belted out the lyrics to The Prayer with her dad, they nearly broke the internet. No one knew that either of them could sing so well. In one month, they had over 100,000 subscribers!
Eventually, they released their first album and they became guests on the Kelly Clarkson show! The pair have recorded dozens of covers but this John Denver cover will have you humming along with this precious father-daughter team as they breathe new life to this 1974 hit song!
John Denver wrote “Annie’s Song” for his wife after they had a major fight. John wanted to find a way to make it right and reveal to his wife just how he makes her feel. John wrote the song while he was on a ski lift in Colorado. Talk about the ultimate way to say, “I’m sorry and I love you.” With lyrics like:
You fill up my senses
Like a night in a forest
Like the mountains in springtime
John found a way to tell his wife just what she meant to him. No wonder, Mat and Savanna decided to lend their musical talents to this beloved song. WOW!
I guess it goes to show you how special a father-daughter bond is! This is one incredible family that makes music together, plays together, and prayers together. What a fresh breath of air!
“Children are a heritage from the LORD, offspring a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them.” Psalms 127:3-5
A stolen dog turned into a rescued dog during a live news broadcast.
Of all the people to find the missing dog, the woman reporting on the story by chance happened to be the heroine. And of all the times for the rescue to occur, this one happened while on the job. Juilanna Mazza, a Boston 7NEWS reporter got a bad feeling when she saw a man walking a dog. This occurred just before she was about to go on air and report on the story of a missing dog.
The reason the man and dog stuck out in her mind was that the dog closely resembled the one she was going to discuss on the air. The match was a bit too close, a perfect match actually.
The dog had gone missing previously from a parked car in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Titus was the name of the missing pet, a German Shorthaired Pointer. The dog looks remarkably beautiful and would definitely stand out for most people.
Police reported that the man broke into the car on a Friday around 12:30 pm, taking the 13-month-old dog. Later, cameras captured images of the dog and suspect.
Juilanna Mazza’s quick thinking is what led to the dog ultimately being rescued. She motioned to the cameraman to start rolling footage. Then she approached the young man under the guise of wanting to pet the animal. Who wouldn’t want to pet such a pretty dog?
With the man and dog on camera, she began asking the stranger questions about the animal, questions he seemed to struggle to answer. With a changing story and weak answers, the news crew had seemingly caught a thief. Someone on their team phoned the police and they handled the rest.
Crazy enough, not only does Titus look identical to the dog in the police photo, but the man is dressed seemingly exactly the same too. A black mask, jacket, and jeans. He must not be into disguises.
The dog’s owner was delighted to be reunited with Titus. They said, “I’m just glad that the person came back and I’m just glad that you guys were there. If anyone ever sees this who questions the value of media, social media, broadcast media, this proves it.”
Thank God that this crime was solved and Titus gets to return home unharmed. And thank God for the reporter who thought quickly on her feet and worked to solve a crime.
His coworker has cancer, so this barber is shaving his own head in support, and I’m crying.
No matter how big or small, simple gestures can go a long way. This barber’s gesture let his coworker know that he wasn’t alone in his fight against cancer.
In the short video, you see the barber, Joel Ortega González, finishing up the buzzcut on Neftali Martín, the other barber that was diagnosed with cancer. Neftali decided to get rid of the rest of his hair once he started losing hair from chemotherapy, and he was clearly distraught sitting in the barber’s chair.
Joel stepped up to the plate to cut Neftali’s hair and recorded the moment. Little did Neftali know, Joel was planning on cutting his own hair.
Joel took the clippers right off of Neftali’s head to his own and began haphazardly having his styled ‘do. Neftali didn’t seem to realize what was happening at first because he just stared into the mirror.
Once he realized his eyes weren’t tricking him, Neftali put his face in his hands and started crying. Joel finished buzzing his own hair off with one hand and put the other on his coworker’s back for comfort.
Neftali still had that stoic look on his face while his coworker used a hairdryer to clean him up. By the end of the clip, Neftali cracked a smile and likely thanked Joel for his heartwarming gesture.
Some people place importance on their appearances, including their hair. Regardless of Joel’s attachment to his hair, he took that step out of solidarity for his brother. Because at the end of the day, we are all God’s children and look the same to Him. The Lord would much rather we reach out to our brothers and sisters that are suffering than maintain a certain look.
We are praying for Neftali and his friends and family. May God give you the strength to persevere.
In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16

Listen to Andrea Bocelli and 8-year-old daughter sing “Hallelujah’ duet -- her voice is stunning!
If your are not yet aware of this legend, prepare to be blown away. Andrea Bocelli is an Italian opera singer who lost his sight by age 12 from congenital glaucoma. He became well-known in the early ‘90s and can now be considered ‘The World’s Most Beloved Tenor.’
Andrea has released 15 solo albums, three greatest hits albums, and nine full operas -- all in under 30 years! His voice broke the boundaries between opera and pop, expanding his audience to more than just opera fans.
What happens when someone as talented as Andrea Boccelli has children? The kids are naturally talented too!
Virginia Boccelli surely grew up listening to lullabies sung by one of the most beautiful voices. It’s not surprising that she would want to explore her musical side, even at such a young age!
Virginia joined her dad on stage in Florida to make her U.S. debut. Andrea played guitar while she started singing the first verse with ease. This little performer made flawless singing look easy! Even when her dad harmonized with her, she didn’t miss a beat or a note!
What better song to sing than ‘Hallelujah’ for a debut in a new country?
‘Hallelujah’ was originally written by Leonard Cohen in 1984. Surprisingly enough, the song wasn’t popular at first but gained recognition as more artists recorded covers.
The song’s popularity spiked in the early 2000s when it was featured in the movie ‘Shrek.’ ‘Hallelujah’ finally made the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 in 2016 after Leonard Cohen passed away.
The world needed at least one more cover of the haunting song, and Virginia Bocelli delivered a beautiful performance alongside her legendary dad. Your ears are in for a treat!
