Now, these are CHRISTmas lights! I can’t think of a more beautiful way to honor the birth of our Savior! This complex setup involved more than 50,000 lights, believe it or not! I wouldn’t even know where to start.
Richard Holdman programmed these lights on his lovely house in Utah and continued to design light shows for his home for the next few years. His creations attracted so much attention and traffic that he and his family had to stop their tradition.
His elaborate light displays started in ‘06, and they eventually placed a donation box in their yard to collect money for the Utah Make-A-Wish Foundation. The light show raised over $40,000. So much love and joy spread from just one family’s house!
The video of the ‘Amazing Grace’ light show has almost 50 million views on Youtube, and the video of the house was even featured on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. It’s safe to say that these lights were probably seen across the globe!
Even though we can get lost in the flashy lights, presents, and stress of the holiday season, we should always remember what the true meaning of Christmas is — Jesus Christ, our Savior.
